Cheap insulin won’t rescue America’s destroyed economy from Biden’s bullying.
If you’ve ever been bullied, you know that the memories of hurt and helplessness from the pain doled out at the pleasure of someone larger and stronger never go away.
No one in the U.S. is stronger or more powerful than the president. Living in the Biden economy is a lot like being bullied. Joe slaps us around for the sake of his liberal economic agenda and then implores Americans to agree how good things are while his high prices and inflation continue to pummel us.
Sure, February’s Consumer Price Index report shows that inflation fell to 6%. That doesn’t excuse the damage done to our energy prices from Biden’s climate bullying. It won’t change the compromises families are still forced to make just to put food on the table.
The president likes to talk about accountability, especially when the guilty parties don’t agree with his politics. Biden has a lot to own up to for the pain he’s dished out. Boasting that price increases on his watch are less than they were five months ago won’t suffice:
Today’s report shows annual inflation is down by a third from this summer at a time when the unemployment rate remains near a 50-year low. That is the slowest annual increase since September 2021. I will continue working to lower costs for hard-working Americans so they have a little more breathing room at the end of the month.772
He hasn’t really lowered prices, of course. Prices just haven’t gone up as much. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, this is how Biden’s more breathing room works out in the real world:
The all items index increased 6.0 percent for the 12 months ending February; this was the smallest 12-month increase since the period ending September 2021. The all items less food and energy index rose 5.5 percent over the last 12 months, its smallest 12-month increase since December 2021.773
Two items we can’t do without are still causing enormous pain. Food went up 0.4% in February and gasoline rose by 1%. Over the past 12 months the energy index went up 5.2% and that all-important index for food jumped 9.5%.774
Biden likes to lavish compliments on himself in public, perhaps because so few of us have anything good to say. Try as he might, the president had little to boast about in February’s numbers. Instead, he resorted to a favorite fallback:
On that front, I am pleased at today’s announcement that, in line with my call, Novo Nordisk will be lowering their insulin prices by 75 percent, following Eli Lilly’s action. This builds on the important progress we made last year when I signed a law to cap insulin at $35 for seniors.775
That’s great news for the estimated 7 million Americans who use insulin and also have to eat and put gas in their cars, but the cost of insulin has absolutely nothing to do with how Biden’s bullying economic agenda hurts Americans and especially those lower income families the president claims he’s building up after those terrible Trump years.
Bullies tend to be cowards. They are not accountable for anything they do, so even when they are caught with blood on their knuckles they tend to blame someone else:
At the same time, I will do everything in my power to prevent us from going backwards on the progress we’ve made – including by standing up to Congressional Republicans who threaten economic catastrophe over the debt limit in order to secure tax cuts for the wealthy and large corporations and reckless cuts to critical programs that American seniors and families count on.776
The debt limit isn’t here yet, but Biden’s economy has been with us for so long that Trump’s family-friendly economy is just a dim memory. The socialist, Green New Deal climate agenda that sneaks into so many areas of our lives and the Democrat Party’s lavish, earmark-laden spending sprees come first. This was from remarks Biden made to a Democratic National Committee Reception the day before the new CPI report came out:
And then, what we did was we sat down and, you know, made sure that we began to focus on the Inflation Reduction Act, which we put in, for example, a $369 billion investment in climate, because it is the existential threat to humanity.777
The White House-Democrat Party climate agenda is an existential threat to Americans. It’s political bullying pure and simple that hurts the little people who don’t have deep pockets for political donations and don’t really matter until it’s time to justify massive spending on favorite social programs.
In the movies we often see a bully get his or her comeuppance. The American people are still waiting, but the only redress we’ve seen lately is another government bailout for people who recklessly deposited too much money in a failed Silicon Valley bank. No matter Biden’s lies, the government doesn’t generate income unless it’s printing valueless paper so we’re paying for that, too. We can add financial elites underneath Joe Biden’s name on the list of liberal bullies who inflict pain simply because they can. Trust me, the hurt is not going to go away anytime soon.

On National Agriculture Day, Biden stumps for illegals and completely ignores the threat to our farmland that Republicans warn about.
President Biden’s National Agriculture Day comments started out well enough:
American farms remind us of the beauty and generosity of our Nation. They feed the country and the world, and with each new planting season, they embody that most American of things — possibilities.778
Possibilities are important, including the possibility that our generosity reflects abject stupidity. With Biden in office, stupidity infests the highest levels of our government.
It should be no surprise to anyone that China buys our farmland. The CCP infiltrates nearly every aspect of our economy and society. Republicans continue to warn about this threat:
America is the land of the free — not the land owned by China,” said Rep. [Guy] Reschenthaler [R-PA]. “The Chinese Communist Party’s malign efforts to purchase domestic farmland is a direct threat to the American homeland.779
Increased ownership of U.S. farmland by foreign adversaries like China is an alarmingly growing trend that poses a risk to our national and economic security,” said Rep. [David] Valadao [R-CA].780
The CCP’s agenda to dramatically increase its ownership of American agricultural land is an immediate concern and one we will deal with directly on the Select Committee on China,” said Rep. Dusty Johnson [R-SD].781
It’s a good thing that Republicans are concerned. During his Agriculture Day remarks the president neglected to mention how important it is that American farmland remains American. While the left counters the threat of adversarial foreign ownership by arguing China only owns a scant share of our agricultural land estimated at less than 400,000 acres, knowing what we know about China’s designs on taking away U.S. global leadership why would we sell a single square inch?
To protect U.S. ownership of this vital, quintessentially American resource, Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD) introduced S. 168, the PASS Act of 2023. The bill prohibits the sale of our cropland to China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.782
Farmland isn’t just about the U.S. food supply. It’s also about energy, which prompted Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-IA) to propose the Defend America’s Rural Energy (DARE) Act:
Amid global conflicts and overt foreign surveillance, we know that our enemies – especially China – have their sights set on our most vital, yet finite resource in rural America: our farmland. Due to recent aggressive behavior by China – including their illegal balloon deployment over our sovereign airspace – we cannot let our guard down when it comes to defending our rural energy sector and our energy security from foreign influence.783
Biden’s take on defending U.S. energy security means going begging to Venezuela and Saudi Arabia so they can bear the guilt and shame for climate Armageddon. As far as sovereign anything is concerned, while he didn’t mention China in his Agriculture Day comments the president did find an excuse to stump for amnesty for illegals:
Every worker is entitled to fair pay, safe conditions, and the free and fair choice to join a union. That includes the large portion of agricultural workers who are undocumented, many of whom have built lives and worked here for decades. In return for all that they have done to keep America running, undocumented farmworkers should have a pathway to citizenship. Our economy needs them, and they deserve dignity and respect.784
Will China pay our illegal farm workers better than we do? Since they aren’t citizens of America, will Xi cut them a deal and make them citizens of China? That remains to be seen, but rest assured no matter what China does Joe Biden will not be an impediment.

No laughing matter: 5 ways Biden is destroying the value of life in America.
It didn’t seem that the Biden s***show could get any worse after the president smirked while commenting on the fentanyl deaths of a mother’s two sons, but he topped that performance on Monday with insanely inappropriate joking about his love for expensive ice cream before he attacked gun owners after the Nashville transgender school shooting.
As easy as it is to assume that our president is not cognizant enough of set and setting when he makes public appearances to be responsible for anything that comes out of his mouth, the truth is that the Biden agenda is not at all superficial and is purposely and progressively destroying the value of life in America.
Five ways the Biden administration is destroying the value America places on life.
Abortion is sound financial planning
Abortion is a way to make ends meet in the Biden economy according to Treasury Secretary Janet “Inflation is Transitory” Yellen, who insists that abortion bans are bad for the economy while Democrats churn out propaganda about the wonders of what they call “reproductive health care.”
Deaths from Biden’s open borders are perfectly acceptable
Migrant fatalities and the deaths of Americans from fentanyl are predictable and wholly permissible collateral damage in service to the Biden open borders, pro-illegal immigration agenda.
Social justice murders don’t count
Americans who are murdered by violent criminals thanks to social justice law enforcement and progressive DAs do not matter. What counts is American deaths during random mass shooting incidents that the Biden administration can use to promote anti-Second Amendment legislation.
Forget suicide: radical surgical procedures are “gender-affirming health care”
The Biden administration promotes radical surgical procedures and chemical treatments that can destroy the lives of impressionable children and adults who don’t understand the impact “gender-affirming health care” will have on their lives despite Democrats admitting to the prevalence of suicide and suicidal thinking in the transgender community.785
Best to disregard genocide in urban black communities
Genocide from gun violence in poor black communities that doesn’t involve Biden’s “weapons of war” is best disregarded. The victims are less important to the Democrat Party’s political goals than the risk of admitting the failure of progressive criminal justice policies and the reality of urban street warfare. The goal is to advance a narrative pointing the finger of blame for shootings at conservative political opponents while we turn our collective back on the people shot dead in the cities Biden and his party are determined to destroy.

After the Covenant School shootings, America deserves better than Biden’s divisive Transgender Day of Visibility Proclamation.
Despite rumblings about a possible Trans Day of Vengeance to be held in our nation’s Capitol on April Fools’ Day just days after the horrific Covenant School shootings, there was no way that President Biden could pass up the opportunity to promote the transgender community as if our country’s very existence hinges on trans Americans:
Transgender Americans shape our Nation’s soul — proudly serving in the military, curing deadly diseases, holding elected office, running thriving businesses, fighting for justice, raising families, and much more.786
Every American shapes our nation’s soul, even the Republican semi-fascists Biden portrayed as our enemy in his angry, divisive Soul of the Nation rant. Sadly,
since identity politics took over the White House Americans are an anachronism. We are our skin color, sexual proclivities, gender identity, or ethnicity first and foremost and Americans dead last.
The president never hesitates to blame mass shootings and gun violence in general on his political opponents, especially when he can wave the threat of white supremacy. He made an exception for the Nashville school massacre, where it seems the guns pulled their own triggers.
Instead of finding a way to bring the Covenant School tragedy into his transgender proclamation remarks, Biden reminded us about a mass shooting incident that was a better fit for his narrative:
An epidemic of violence against transgender women and girls, in particular women and girls of color, has taken lives far too soon. Last year’s Club Q shooting in Colorado was another painful example of this kind of violence — a stain on the conscience of our Nation. 787
As with most of his favorite identity politics victims, the president’s remarks were laced with words like “hateful,” “discrimination,” “bullying,” “harassment,” and “hurting.” He also threw in two trite, fill-in-the-the blanks identity politics favorites usually reserved for black and/or brown Americans. We’ve heard this one before, too:
America is founded on the idea that all people are created equal and deserve to be treated equally throughout their lives. We have never fully lived up to that, but we have never walked away from it either.789
Then he slapped the families of the Covenant School victims and the survivors of the shooting across the face:
I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination against all transgender, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary people.790
Our president could have called for eliminating violence against all Americans, even black Americans who live in Democrat-run cities and whose losses are routinely ignored by Biden and his party. A real leader would have found words to make this proclamation matter to all of us by trying to heal the divisions created by the left’s response to the Nashville shootings.
That is not who or what Joe Biden is. The president’s divisive remarks were damaging, hurtful, and destructive, just like his joking over his favorite ice cream that preceded Monday’s comments about this tragic loss of life.

You are absolutely right, Sherri. Biden’s domestic policy disasters were bad enough, but now we have to worry about nuclear war for the first time in how many decades? We went from strong leadership to no leadership. Biden’s threats are hollow and meaningless and our adversaries know it. God only knows what he’ll come up with in Europe this week. Chauvin et al. blew it and Floyd’s passengers should have been more honest about him just eating Fentanyl pills.

That’s a perplexing question, Stephen. If the left is sincere about climate change a nuclear war isn’t going to solve their problem, but it seems that’s the direction the administration has chosen even if Biden doesn’t realize it.
As you point out, it seems the endgame really is to break our country socially, morally, and economically. As long as Democrats stay entrenched in power – and I don’t believe the midterms are secure or a slam dunk by any means – the damage won’t impact them. They will get richer and more powerful while the American people’s lives are decimated. After a time the people will thank the government for anything it permits, anything it offers, anything it lets us keep for ourselves. If history has a precedent, it’s every country that decided a socialist economy and authoritarian government was a good idea.

When people can’t afford to leave their homes to work, find empty shelves at the grocery store, and are left sweating in the summer heat because of rolling blackouts, they will accept any relief the government offers because they don’t have a choice. Nothing that is hurting us is by accident.
I agree their progressive, socialist/communist ideology is driven by their destructive tactics to deconstruct everything this country is founded on and that they are succeeding with executive orders and policies that are destroying the US (open borders, anti-law and order, killing the economy, allowing China to buy all the farm land, etc.). But in the long run, with their goal for the majority of Americans and the millions of illegal immigrants being driven in to poverty and dependent on the government as the president along with those in power create a caste system and one party state, what is their plan for funding their socialist/communist regime? How is it they can get away with so easily violating the Constitution and laws of the land?
That’s a great question, PJ. They have to be smart enough to not completely destroy the economy so there is still enough of a tax base to fund their socialist handouts. Democrats don’t seem to worry about debt or the long-range consequences of what they are doing, so this doesn’t seem to be something that concerns them yet. If you took a survey and asked them how the government is funded, I wonder what their answers would be?
I suppose if you are in power and have every federal agency under your control you can do whatever you want, especially when your opposition doesn’t have the spine for the kind of all-out partisan warfare and massive propaganda campaigns that Democrats are so good at. When an institution, policy, or person offends them, they destroy it. Even the Supreme Court is a target and the Constitution was throw on the trash heap long ago.

Ok initially trump pushed for an investigation into Hillary Clinton an right wing media was OK with that but when the tables were turned after trump one the general election he impeded the the investigation into allegations of his possible wrong doing. I’m not sure which allegations you are referring to, Gilbert, but Russian collusion was a Clinton campaign hoax and the Ukraine phone call charges didn’t pan out, either. The Hunter Biden issue is completely different. There is alleged hard evidence on a laptop in the FBI’s possession that was covered up by the media before the 2020 Election. Worse, the president’s statement that he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings have proved false. That’s the difference.

While it’s true that Pres. Trump has an offending personality to some people, he was a great leader for AMERICA. Exactly right. Trump put America and Americans first. Biden and his party are owned by radical activists who put themselves first and could care less about what it does to our country. It’s amazing how quickly they tore down what Trump accomplished and how difficult it will be to repair all the damage done. I can agree to that, Kevin and yes, politics has turned into an us vs. them argument. When Biden accused Republicans of semi-fascism he emphasized the battle lines and now, a year later we have four indictments against Trump to prevent him from running instead of letting voters make the decision at the ballot box.
I would never argue that Trump was a perfect president or the perfect conservatoire candidate, but at this point I don’t see anyone else in the field of GOP candidates who can defeat Biden and Democrats know it. If Biden wins another four years – and I don’t agree with those who say he will not run – and Democrats take back the House, we are finished.
