UPDATE November 3, 2021:
Great Thing About America #55: we have a Democrat Party that can thank Joe Biden for destroying its future.
It’s not often that I stick up for Democrats. I’m going to make an exception today, albeit by way of attacking Joe Biden and everything his weaponized, radical political party stands for. If Democrats had a real leader instead of a batch of leftist nut jobs calling the shots and feeding the president their insane talking points they might have a future. As it stands, Democrats have nothing to look forward to except failure, tears, and regret.
Like it or not, we need our two-party system. One party puts the brakes on the other when they overreach. Two parties mean one can jumpstart complacency when we need to get something done. Once in a great while we even get some good ideas that meet in the middle. This is a great thing about the American political system that’s been clouded over by our current divisive politics and disastrous, woke Biden presidency.
It’s poor form to rub a loser’s nose in the dirt, but it’s not as if Democrats didn’t beg for what happened in yesterday’s elections and all the bad things yet to come. They put a doddering, semi-coherent old man in the White House as a hapless dupe for their unsustainable agenda. Their radical house of cards finally collapsed after they labeled concerned parents terrorists and prominent administration hacks decided half-million dollar payouts to illegal immigrants were a good idea.
Radical Democrats’ absurd pro-Marxist, anti-American, anti-whiteness, anti-law enforcement, anti-capitalist stance could have been averted if they had some semblance of viable leadership. Even Barack Obama would likely have put the brakes on their ridiculous extremism, even if he privately agreed with every word.
Not Joe Biden. He’s a talking head, not a leader. The inmates are running his asylum and the craziness has spread across the nation. That’s why Glenn Youngkin is the next governor of blue state Virginia.
UPDATE November 6, 2021:
Great Thing About America #56: we are proud of how our president behaves in public.
If you’ve ever had the sad experience of caring for someone with dementia you are probably familiar with the angry outbursts that come out of nowhere. We’ve seen Joe Biden lose it more than once, but this morning’s heated performance during his victory lap over the passage of the infrastructure bill was memorable.
A reporter asked the president about the proposed $450,000 payouts to illegals that Biden denied with one word – “garbage” – earlier this week. He wasn’t confused today. The president raised his voice and loudly pointed an angry finger while offering the ridiculous justification that the scheme is mandated by the “outrageous behavior” of the Trump administration. According to Biden, if you lost your child you deserve compensation.
This doesn’t apply to the American citizens who lose their children to gun violence in Democrat Party cities like Chicago, but that’s an issue for another day. The Biden administration assumes for convenience sake that the families allegedly separated were actually families. Even if they were, the real argument is about the ethics of rewarding instead of punishing foreigners for breaking America’s laws. Sooner or later using Donald Trump as an excuse for every stupid thing Biden does is going to wear thin – we hope – even with his die-hard supporters.
Biden has proved more than once that he has no ethics. He doesn’t care about U.S. law, the Constitution, or the American people, for that matter because all three run afoul of the progressive vision being forced on the nation.
At the very least the president should care how he presents himself to the public. It might add a little credibility to a leader who is wholly lacking in this essential leadership trait. Angry outbursts like we saw this morning beg two questions: does Biden have dementia, or does he simply lose it whenever his administration is caught red-handed, pants down, betraying the American people?
I’m opting for both. How about you?
UPDATE November 10, 2021: Shameless Joe thinks you are stupid, so he takes credit for our supply chain setting new records thanks to him.
Are you stupid? Joe Biden thinks so. Not only did the president try to pass off his infrastructure boondoggle as a panacea for our supply chain problems, this morning he took credit for moving more goods faster than ever:
Despite global disruptions due to the pandemic, America is moving record numbers of goods from our ports to shelves and homes. The Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, for example, which import 40% of all containerized imports into the country—are handling the most in their history, 17% more than their previous record year.
Not only are we moving more goods faster, the president deserves credit for stocking your store shelves at this very moment:
Of course! Moving goods is all about the weather.
Fortunately, with his infrastructure win on the table Shameless Joe can fix what really impacts our supply chain: the weather.
I’ve been to the store. I filled my car this week and paid $3.67/gallon to do it while the Biden administration threatened to shut down another pipeline. In my job I ship products from all over the world. The items coming from Asia are still in Asia and will remain there for the time being despite Biden’s claim that Long Beach and Los Angeles are setting new records.
Like everything else great about America this president has helped destroy, we now have a supply chain that doesn’t function. Even our food distribution network is failing and threatens our Thanksgiving tables. That’s another silver lining for Shameless Joe. The left hates Thanksgiving almost as much as it hates the thought of Americans putting gas in our climate-destroying vehicles.
UPDATE November 18, 2021: America had much to be thankful for and then Biden took over
With Thanksgiving a week away you might be questioning what we have to be thankful for. “Things could be worse” won’t cut it. Depending on where you live, it might not even be true. Joe Biden has made a mess of our country. It seems like he’s working off a hit list of what makes America great to make sure every item gets destroyed, line by line.
The smug, deceitful Biden administration takes responsibility for nothing. A comment by Jen Psaki about the “tragedy of the delayed treadmill” sums up the White House approach to the pain this president has brought Americans. This is what we’re getting. Live with it.
This doesn’t seem like America because it isn’t. This is a new country dominated by autocrat Biden and a carefully selected cadre of ideologues determined to wipe away every vestige of what America means to those of us who care.
Activists and far left politicians who hate America have much to be thankful for
The president brought a bounty of destruction to the radical left this year. The administration helped boost gas and heating prices to pinch middle class budgets alongside rising food prices. Biden did too little, too late to deal with the supply chain meltdown so goods aren’t moving. The border is open to gang members, fentanyl smugglers, sex offenders, and all manner of detritus from Mexico, Central America, and God know where. If Biden gets to Build Back Better the economy will be devastated by a liberal wrecking ball that confuses having money with printing money and inflation with not spending enough money.
We’re warned about food shortages on Thanksgiving, but we’re still infinitely better off than the Americans who will spend the holiday in Afghanistan because Biden left them behind. We don’t know how many. Joe doesn’t know, doesn’t care, or is too afraid of the fallout to tell the truth.
There’s much more, including the war on conservative parents and whatever is going to happen when the Rittenhouse jury reaches a verdict, but the absolute worst thing Americans who love America face this Thanksgiving is not the myriad destructive policies embraced by Joe Biden. The worst thing is his administration’s refusal to tell the truth about anything. The Biden administration is an autocracy built from lies. We can’t believe anything anyone connected to this president says, which leads us to the biggest lie of all told this time by Jen Psaki:
But, you know, our message, I would say, is that, you know, President Biden ran on a promise to bring Americans together and to turn down the temperature on the angry, divisive rhetoric and actions we saw over the past four years. That’s his overarching objective.
Not true. Biden’s overarching objective is to destroy America because it offends everything Biden, his party, and all their activists and supporters stand for.
UPDATE November 25, 2021:
Great Thing About America #57: we are grateful for the enduring strength and resilience of our fellow Americans
We have many things not to be thankful for on Thanksgiving 2021 thanks to our incompetent president and his sneering, cackling sidekick. Nevertheless, it’s instructive to hear what Joe Biden thinks we should be thankful for.
The president’s Thanksgiving Day 2021 proclamation could have been short and simple. He could have just thanked the American people for another tough year and made some nonsensical claim that under his watch better times are ahead. It doesn’t really matter because few of us believe anything he says, anyway.
Instead, Biden first thanked farm workers and frontline workers. This seemed like an odd combination until he made it clear that many of these people are immigrants. They may be illegal as well, but that makes no difference to Biden or his party. In their eyes they are even better than card-carrying, lifelong American citizens.
The president also thanked parents. It would have been better to just let that one go. Classifying parents who advocate for their kids’ educations as domestic terrorists is an odd way to express thanks.
Health care professionals who vaccinate our nation are on the list. Many of these dedicated workers may lose their jobs because of Biden’s vaccine mandate, assuming he finds a way around the courts. For now, we’ll assume he’s only talking about the ones who will remain employed.
Troops serving far from home received a nod as well. Afghanistan isn’t included on that far from home list anymore. The president claims that he and Mrs. Biden feel the pain of “an empty chair at the Thanksgiving table.” Does that pain include the 13 service members who lost their lives thanks to his botched escape plan?
Finally, the president asked us to join together and give thanks. He spoke of goodwill and unity. I don’t know what people in what country his confused mind was referring to, but it can’t be Joe Biden’s America.
He didn’t conclude with the standard God Bless the United States of America or God Bless the American people. I’ll do that for him:
God Bless the United States of America and all the people of this great country.
I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving and hope for better times ahead.
UPDATE December 4, 2021:
Great Thing About America #58: the U.S. doesn’t encourage slavery and human trafficking
That’s a massive ethical problem for a nation where human trafficking and slavery are repugnant and yet incentivized by the fools running our government.
New National Anti-Human Trafficking Plan is all about the jargon
Yesterday, the Biden administration held a press call to discuss a New National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking. It did not include securing our border. Apparently that’s a tradeoff the administration is not willing to make. Instead of hearing about concrete steps to regain our lost sovereignty and shut down the border Biden opened wide, we got this:
The National Action Plan is built around the foundational pillars of U.S. and, really, global anti-trafficking efforts. Four pillars: prevention, protection, prosecution, and partnerships.182
If you have ever pondered how our massive federal bureaucracy can manage to do absolutely nothing of value and yet cost taxpayers staggering amounts of cash, consider this jargon-laden explanation for Biden’s anti-trafficking “prevention pillar:”
Under the first pillar — the prevention pillar — the National Action Plan presents 13 priority actions. They range from strengthening efforts to identify, prevent, and address human trafficking in global supply chains to enhancing outreach and community-coordinated responses to human trafficking.183
Or we could do what Trump did. It was working.
The word “border” didn’t show up until the end of the call when the unnamed official answered a few questions. One was about bringing back the Migrant Protection Protocols that return illegals to Mexico to wait until we decide what to do with them. This was the answer:
All I would say here is that the focus of this Action Plan, the focus of the discussion today is really on tackling the scourge of human trafficking and, in doing so, in the context of this administration’s approach to issues at the border, which is an approach consistently grounded in safe, orderly, and humane migration. And, of course, identifying those who are made to suffer as victims of human trafficking is critical to all facets of that.184
I don’t know about you, but I have no idea what any of that means though I’m fairly confident it’s not about closing the border to migrants, drug smugglers, and human traffickers.
It sure looks like Biden’s White House is doing a bit of human trafficking on its own
The truth is that in addition to encouraging human trafficking by ignoring our laws the White House is doing some trafficking on its own to improve the lives of illegals and Democrats. Florida Reps. Daniel Webster, Byron Donalds, and other members of the state’s congressional delegation sent a letter to the president asking about the migrants being shipped to specific locations around the nation and to DeSantis’ Sunshine State, in particular:
In further dismissal of the ongoing crisis on our southern border, this administration deciding to transport throughout the country in the middle of the night proves just how inept Joe Biden is at leading the nation,” said Rep. Donalds. “Due to Biden’s inaction, every state is now a border state. For the protection of our constituents and our state, my Florida colleagues and I demand answers on the covert resettlement of these illegal immigrants. The American people deserve clarity.”185
I wouldn’t expect the answers to be any more transparent than the jargon and gibberish the administration offers in support of its anti-human trafficking plan. If it comes down to choosing between bringing in as many future Democrats as possible and protecting vulnerable migrants from predators, the Democrat Party is the sure winner. The other kind of human trafficking, the kind America now incentivizes thanks to Biden, can wait for later.
