UPDATE June 17, 2022:
Unity makes America stronger, so Biden uses Juneteenth to remind us about our racism.
Americans don’t need another reason to be angry and unhappy. We’ve been on edge for long enough thanks to the failing Biden Economy and his party’s nonstop barrage of negativity and hate for everything Democrats don’t endorse. Things are bad enough and it’s largely Joe Biden’s fault.
The concept of American unity is anathema to the president. It has no partisan political purpose. For example, Biden could have used Juneteenth to bring us together. He could have reminded us how far America has come, but a divided America is a weak America and that’s how he likes us:
Today, our Nation commemorates Juneteenth: a chance to celebrate human freedom, reflect on the grievous and ongoing legacy of slavery, and rededicate ourselves to rooting out the systemic racism that continues to plague our society as we strive to deliver the full promise of America to every American.398
We haven’t come very far says Joe. He’s fond of reminding us that Americans haven’t lived up to our potential. The legacy of slavery is still with us, in part because accusing the black community of helplessness and Americans of racism keeps the Democrat Party afloat.
Slavery analogy aside, Democrats pride themselves on their political ownership of the black community. Biden reminded us during the 2020 election campaign that a no vote for him meant “you ain’t black.” His party controls many, if not most of our violent, depressed urban neighborhoods. None of this matters to the president. Neither do the implications of his party’s predominantly white, elitist leadership. Instead, he focuses Americans on our real problem:
This Juneteenth, we are freshly reminded that the poisonous ideology of racism has not yet been defeated — it only hides.399
In this context racism in hiding is not a negative. It’s an opportunity that keeps giving:
Juneteenth is a day to reflect on both bondage and freedom — a day of both pain and purpose. It is, in equal measure, a remembrance of both the long, hard night of slavery and subjugation, as well as a celebration of the promise of a brighter morning to come.400
In case you didn’t get the message the first time:
We grow stronger as a country when we honestly confront our past injustices, including the profound suffering and injustice wrought by slavery and generations of segregation and discrimination against Black Americans. To heal, we must remember. We must never rest until the promise of our Nation is made real for all Americans.401
If Biden had the slightest inclination towards honesty he would have admitted that healing is not on the table. While running for president he promised to unify America. That vow lasted until he sat down for the first time in the Oval Office, signed his first orders to destroy America, and started accusing us of racism.
Biden never misses an opportunity to make sure Americans are wounded and hurting. Suspicious, fearful, and angry are how he likes us. Juneteenth is just another opportunity to make sure we don’t forget.
UPDATE June 20, 2022:
Biden promotes World Refugee Day 2022 while he destroys America’s historical promise to refugees.
Was President Biden’s confusing statement on World Refugee Day 2022 intended to make us draw some sort of nonexistent connection between illegal migration to the U.S. and Vladimir Putin, or to make it seem like his border crisis is something other than a Biden-created nightmare? I’ll let you be the judge. First, he told us:
As a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine we recently reached a grim milestone: According to the UN Refugee Agency, more than 100 million people are now forcibly displaced, more than at any other time in history.402
He followed up with this:
On this [World Refugee] day, we reaffirm our commitment to work with the international community to achieve sustainable, long-term solutions to support refugees—including through resettlement. We also recommit to engaging in diplomatic efforts to address the root causes of displacement and bring an end to the ongoing conflicts that drive refugees to seek safety across borders.402
The Biden administration’s responsibility-dodging root causes nonsense has nothing to do with Putin or Ukraine. We already know that war creates refugees. Joe Biden creates illegals. From Day One he excused the crush at our southern border by pretending to be confused about why they keep coming. Now the situation is so out of control that the greatest barrier to America helping refugees from anywhere is our president’s open border policies.
Undeterred, Biden just made the kind of promise on behalf of U.S. taxpayers that ensures our border crisis will continue to spiral out of control:
The United States will do our part to ensure that those who have sought refuge here have access to the life-saving assistance they deserve, including healthcare and shelter, and opportunities to pursue livelihoods and education that allow them to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope for a brighter tomorrow.403/sup>
If he’s looking for a root cause, he just found it: come to America and we’ll pay to make your life better.
Biden likes to talk about values. If he has any, they focus on doing whatever it takes to consolidate political power for himself and his party. For some reason he thinks angering Americans by allowing record numbers of illegals into the country is going to help and that his outrageously destructive border policies have something to do with legitimate American values:
As Americans, protecting and welcoming refugees is part of who we are. Our nation of immigrants was founded by individuals fleeing religious persecution.404
The president should have checked with his woke advisors before he mentioned the pilgrims. They aren’t popular with the left. While his statement about protecting refugees may be true, Biden’s border catastrophe makes achieving that goal impossible. There are too many foreign nationals already here, too many on the way, and insufficient federal resources to stop the terrorists, criminals, transnational gang members, sex offenders, and other detritus that is determined to take advantage of our open border.
The president’s gift to the world on World Refugee Day 2022 is an impaired America that cannot responsibly accept more refugees. Instead, we need to start removing those who arrived unbidden and were allowed in by a man who doesn’t believe that America deserves a border or immigration restrictions or that the needs of American citizens and legal residents punished by his damaging policies should come first. If the goal is to turn the American people against the idea of accepting an unlimited number of refugees so the president and his party can take political credit, Biden may succeed beyond his wildest expectations.
UPDATE June 20, 2022:
Biden will destroy black Americans equally and equitably.
No matter how much the Biden administration hurts Americans the president insists we’re being handed a silk purse. The real problem is that we don’t understand how wonderful our lives are thanks to all the things Joe has done for us.
Not only did our new federal, taxpayer-paid Juneteenth holiday give the president an opportunity to remind us about our history of racism, it also gave him a chance to tell black Americans how much he’s done to improve their lives with his equity agenda:
From the first day in office and every day since, the Biden-Harris Administration has taken an historic approach to advancing racial equity, including directing every agency across the whole of the federal government to address the lasting impacts of systemic racism on Black communities.405
Decades of Democrat Party solicitude did not accomplish much:
For generations, entrenched disparities in our society and economy, at times facilitated by the federal government, have made it harder for Black Americans to have a fair shot at the American dream. Centuries of injustice and decades of disinvestment in Black communities not only undermine the American promise of equal opportunity, but also keep our entire nation from reaching its potential.406
I don’t know what Biden envisions when he talks about America reaching its potential. His economic policies are an unmitigated disaster and his inflammatory, divisive lectures on race negatively mischaracterize our nation and serve only to inflame the tensions he must think he’ll benefit from.
In honor of Juneteenth the president took credit for fostering equity for the black community with his inflation-causing American Rescue Plan and an absurdly long list of accomplishments that include repealing the Trump “Muslim ban.” He even tossed in immigration reform that hasn’t passed Congress, perhaps anticipating a windfall of thanks from grateful black Americans for creating competition from “millions of undocumented individuals, including Black noncitizens.”407
The problem with Biden’s equity plans for black Americans is equality. Those of us who aren’t wealthy are suffering equally because of the president’s punishing economic policies and his subservience to the demands of socialist, Green New Deal climate radicals. He can preach equity until he falls off his bike, but gas prices, food prices, and shortages hurt everyone. If he really wants to help black Americans he should shelve the equity jargon and racist assumption that black American = poor Democrat Party voter and take concrete steps to help all Americans. That will advance equality, which is what we valued before Biden enforced equity, and make America a better place for everyone.
UPDATE June 22, 2022:
We don’t want a gas tax holiday. We want Biden to take credit for his progress towards destroying America’s economy.
Every American should be offended by this morning’s presidential gas tax holiday “FACT SHEET.” Let’s set aside the fact that 18 cents per gallon is an unbridled insult to consumers paying record high fuel prices. It costs me $5.89 per gallon to fill my car. In what world will 18 cents make a difference? Only in Joe Biden’s desperate world of failure, excuses, and lies.
The only thing worse than a president who promised to end our fossil fuel industry and now seeks to blame everyone but himself for progress towards that goal is a president who not only won’t take responsibility for his actions, but insults consumers by lying about his culpability:
Today, he [President Biden] is calling on Congress and states to take additional legislative action to provide direct relief to American consumers who have been hit with Putin’s Price Hike.408
Biden signed his anti-fossil fuel industry orders the moment he took office. Now it’s up to Congress and the states to fix Vladimir Putin’s problem.
Yes, Putin’s war has an impact on oil prices but so do Biden policies including his immediate cancellation of oil and gas leases and the Keystone XL pipeline when he took office. Ignoring his own responsibility per White House protocol, Biden repeatedly mentions Putin in this morning’s announcement:
President Biden is calling on Congress to suspend the gas tax for three months – until the end of September – to give Americans a little extra breathing room as they deal with the effects of Putin’s war in Ukraine.409
As if this isn’t enough to infuriate Americans listening to the administration’s constant blame shifting, Biden concludes by taking credit for more fossil fuel production than Donald Trump and then throws a sop to the Democrat Party’s Green New Deal socialists that hearkens back to his original campaign promise to end fossil fuels in America:
At the same time, the President understands that our efforts to increase energy production in the near-term must be coupled with medium- and long-term efforts to transition our economy away from fossil fuels produced by autocrats and to clean energy.410
The only autocrat Americans need to worry about is incompetent, self-interested Joe Biden. His relentless attacks on the American consumer are bad enough, but offering us a meaningless gas tax holiday that his flunkies have doubtless already figured out how to take back is akin to a kiss after a violent assault.
Biden promised to end the fossil fuel industry. Fulfilling that promise in conjunction with his party’s runaway spending are largely responsible for our high prices and inflation and consumers know it. The president should at least display the courage to take credit for what he’s done instead of blaming Putin and the energy corporations he despises while punishing consumers who can’t afford $50,000 or more for an electric car because they’re struggling to put food on the table.
UPDATE June 25, 2022:
Biden administration destroys constitutional protection for Christians but Harris still asks for God’s blessing.
It was likely accidental, but President Biden had the decency to not mention God in his divisive remarks after yesterday’s release of the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling. On the other hand, he did not display the decency, leadership skills, or simple common sense to not target the Supreme Court justices who have so angered the left that Justice Kavanaugh almost lost his life:
It was three justices named by one President — Donald Trump — who were the core of today’s decision to upend the scales of justice and eliminate a fundamental right for women in this country.411
How can we reconcile our nation’s values with those of a president who publicly inflames a situation that already included a foiled assassination plot? Biden is an authoritarian tyrant who refuses to accept responsibility for the consequences of anything he does. When accountability is off the table, his options for retaliation against those he disagrees with are limitless.
Centuries before Roe v. Wade Europeans came to America seeking freedom from religious persecution. Our Founders enshrined the right to the free exercise of religion in the First Amendment to the Constitution. That constitutional principle has existed for over two hundred years. The Biden administration has chosen to discard that protection in favor of a court case that is barely fifty years old.
We have already witnessed terrorist fire bombings of pro-life clinics and can only imagine how this administration would crack down had circumstances been reversed.
Yesterday, congressional Republicans sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland citing 40 attacks against pro-life centers and churches. They advocated for our basic constitutional right to the free exercise of religion:
The assault on pro-life Americans’ constitutional rights to freedom of speech and religion must be stopped.412
It is common knowledge that these health centers are predominantly, if not exclusively Christian. That makes these violent attacks and the ongoing threats and intimidation direct assaults on Christians and Christianity.
Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland promised:
The Justice Department will use every tool at our disposal to protect reproductive freedom. And we will not waver from this Department’s founding responsibility to protect the civil rights of all Americans.413
We know “all Americans” is not true. We are engaged in a war between tyrannical, authoritarian Democrats and the Constitution. The free exercise of religion competes with liberal orthodoxy so that right will be ignored while Democrat Party foot soldiers wreak havoc just like they did in 2020.
Kamala Harris is either as clueless as she seems or chose a strategy from the George Floyd, turn a blind eye to domestic terror playbook. She resorted to God at the conclusion of her remarks from Democrat stronghold Chicago:
So this is not over. God bless you. And God bless America. (Applause.)414
Presumably that applause came from pro-abortion advocates, some of which undoubtedly planned to participate in the Night of Rage that threatens to kick start a repeat of the summer of 2020.
I can’t imagine that God advocates domestic terror or threats to the exercise of any religion. We know that the Biden administration does through simple inaction when it furthers the Democrat Party’s political goals. God is one thing. Democrat Party politics is quite another.
UPDATE June 28, 2022:
America’s greatness stained: we are now officially a death trap for migrants and the blood is all over Biden’s hands.
America’s history of providing sanctuary to refugees is complicated and driven by politics. To put the current numbers in perspective, Jimmy Carter signed the 1980 U.S. Refugee Act to address asylum issues raised by the Vietnam War. The legislation raised the refugee admissions limit from 17,400 to 50,000.
Under Joe Biden the numbers of alleged refugees and asylum seekers are in the millions. We have no idea how many legally qualify for protection because our laws no longer apply.
Nothing could have prepared us for the insanity of the Biden administration’s immigration and refugee policies. The president has unilaterally canceled our immigration laws and opened our southern border to the world. Why? Liberals bristle and cry racism and white supremacy when the word “replacement” is applied to what Biden is doing, but what else could possibly explain the catastrophe that this president created as part of his policy agenda?
There is a big difference between arriving at Ellis Island as an immigrant, seeking asylum from a war-torn nation and 46 dead illegal migrants in a semi-trailer in Texas (since publishing this update that number has grown to 50). Their blood is on the hands of de facto human traffickers Biden, DHS Secretary Mayorkas, Border Czar Kamala Harris, and everyone in the White House who encourages illegal immigration and denies migrants, immigrants, and citizens the protection of responsibly enforced immigration and asylum laws.
While Biden and Harris babble about root causes, the reason for the unending flow of humanity entering the U.S. from around the globe is pretty simple and straightforward. The White House and Democrat Party let the world know that anyone who wants to come here is welcome and will be taken care of, free cell phone included. The message was received. The numbers keep growing. It’s only difficult to comprehend if you are incapable of telling the truth.
The blood on Biden’s hands will not end in that overheated trailer. People are going to be hurt and more will die because of this terrible president’s destructive immigration agenda. Americans are dying in record numbers from fentanyl shipped over the border while we hear that our federal law enforcement officers are changing diapers and processing the Democrat Party’s new Americans. In the rush to admit as many illegals as possible gang members, terrorists, sex offenders, and criminals of every description are riding the wave across our lawless boundary with Mexico to a street corner near you. Biden does not care. After all, his policies lured them here.
The dead migrants in Texas are most certainly not the end of the death toll our president has made an integral part of U.S. immigration and refugee policy. The problem, as with all crises created by this dangerously incompetent, agenda-driven president and his ideologue advisers, is that he doesn’t care about the consequences of anything he does and refuses to change course no matter how bad things get.
Biden will blame Republicans and our broken immigration system when more migrants are found dead in the summer heat. He will disavow responsibility for the black market in human beings that he made profitable beyond a cartel’s wildest dreams. When Americans are killed by Chinese fentanyl arriving from Mexico and the inevitable violent crime that always accompanies a surge in illegal drugs he will propose solutions that distract from the real problem and advance other woke priorities instead. He will divert, distract, lie, and cover up because that’s who he is and what his administration does.
How much blood is on Biden’s hands? We’ll never know for certain, but those 50 dead migrants are a good place to start counting.
Biden makes a statement about Texas migrant deaths and it’s even worse than we expected.
As I predicted, the president quickly distanced himself from the human trafficking market his irresponsible border policies helped to grow and make enormously profitable. He took time out from his glad handing with European leaders to make a statement about the Texas incident:
initial reports are that this tragedy was caused by smugglers or human traffickers who have no regard for the lives they endanger and exploit to make a profit.415
The more cynical among us would argue that the tragedy was caused by Joe Biden, who made a suggestion he can’t and won’t make good on:
This incident underscores the need to go after the multi-billion dollar criminal smuggling industry preying on migrants and leading to far too many innocent deaths.416
Joe Biden is going to take on the Mexican drug cartels he helped embolden with his open border? Not likely.
No stranger to “political grandstanding around tragedy” like the Uvalde and Buffalo shootings, Biden made a perplexing statement that implied human smugglers who avoid bringing illegals across at surveilled ports of entry don’t have to worry:
Exploiting vulnerable individuals for profit is shameful, as is political grandstanding around tragedy, and my Administration will continue to do everything possible to stop human smugglers and traffickers from taking advantage of people who are seeking to enter the United States between ports of entry.417
That remark doesn’t make a lot of sense, but I think we can be assured that nothing is going to staunch the flow illegals brought here by smugglers who know to avoid ports of entry. Biden must know this and must also know that sheer numbers means he won’t be able to stop those who cross at legitimate checkpoints, either.
The president has created a situation that offers too much profit on Mexico’s side of the border and not enough manpower on the U.S. side. Besides, like killing our energy independence he created this crisis for a reason and has no intention of backing off no matter how many migrants will die so the White House and Democrat Party leadership can tell their base they are delivering what they promised.
