UPDATE January 13, 2023:
Biden’s new scandal is the best thing to happen to this president and the worst thing imaginable for the country he is destroying.
No, we are not witnessing the end of the Biden presidency. Quite the opposite, in fact. Pundits predicting that the evolving documents scandal is the final nail in the casket of this historically destructive president need to think a lot harder about what’s happening. Besides, if the pipe dream of a White House without Joe Biden comes true, is Kamala Harris America’s next great hope?
Karine Jean-Pierre stumbled through another embarrassing press conference yesterday during which she repeated twice that Biden was “surprised” about the documents at the Penn Biden Center. She referred to the investigation as an “ongoing process” ten times.689 Three words were never used during the briefing: border, migrants, and inflation, which is curious considering the president’s remarks earlier in the day applauding his alleged success in dealing with inflation and lowering food and gas prices:
Food inflation is slowing as well. Last month, we saw the smallest increase in food prices in almost two years.690
Notice that the president didn’t say food prices were coming down. He said the increase was the smallest we’ve seen during his presidency. No one mentioned this later in the day during Jean-Pierre’s presser. The documents scandal came first.
Call it the rabbit patch, a straw man, a manufactured crisis, or whatever you wish. When Hank Johnson (D-GA) suggested that the offending classified documents might have been planted, we shouldn’t have dismissed this lunacy so quickly. This scandal seems a lot like a manipulation to divert our attention from the destruction wreaked on our country by Joe Biden.
The border crisis is arguably the greatest scandal facing this administration. Biden’s too-late, staged trip to El Paso did not help. Tens of thousands of Americans have died from fentanyl on this president’s watch. We don’t know how many migrants, asylum seekers, and gotaways were permitted in, but we’ve seen estimates in the millions with no plan whatsoever to deal with these individuals. Instead, we have a new plan for letting in even more.
Republicans are planning investigations aplenty ranging from the root causes of Biden’s border catastrophe to his family’s influence peddling to collusion on First Amendment censorship. Now James Comer (R-KY) has a new opportunity on his hands:
With or without a special counsel, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee will investigate President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and the Swamp’s efforts to hide this information from the American people.691
This is a rabbit hole with no bottom dropped into overeager Republican laps. Merrick Garland didn’t change his spots. The Senate is still run by Democrats. The FBI’s loyalties are still up for grabs. The White House knows exactly what it is doing and it is doing it very well.
The national discussion has shifted to safer territory and that’s exactly where the administration wants it. Whether these documents were discovered by accident or design, the Biden administration now has a perfect issue to distract the country from the progressive destruction of America at the hands of this president and his far-left White House flunkies. Trust me. This scandal is the best thing to happen to Joe Biden in two terrible years. It even brings Donald Trump back into the picture to distract a political left that shows signs of preferring almost anyone to Joe in 2024.
UPDATE January 15, 2023:
On MLK Day Biden owes black community and all of America an apology.
Who will benefit from King’s dream? Biden and the Democrats.
In advance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday Joe Biden is headed to Atlanta. MLK Day brings Democrats out of the woodwork and Biden is the party’s most visible representative. He’s scheduled to speak at Ebenezer Baptist Church this morning, where radical Senator Raphael Warnock is Senior Pastor.
Dr. King said that “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.” Biden should take note. Despite false promises of transparency, his administration is one of the opaquest in memory. There is good reason for that. The divide between what this president has done to America and what the White House wants us to believe is so enormous that it’s fair to say that everything we hear should be judged a lie until proven otherwise.
One lie that’s of critical importance to the Biden White House is that America is overwhelmingly racist. When Trump took over and Democrats felt their grip on the country slipping we became a nation of former slaveowners and white supremacists. The political left didn’t put a lot of thought into what this said about the efforts they continually champion to advance a black community they repeatedly fail. This wasn’t about advancing the black community. It was about using the black community to advance Democrats.
In a Friday the 13th press appearance, Karine Jean-Pierre was afforded some relief from Biden’s explosive documents scandal by Senior Advisor for Public Engagement Keisha Lance Bottoms. Bottoms talked the White House talk as one of her party’s favorite days drew near:
This would have been Dr. King’s 94th birthday. As we know, this is an inflection point in history. And the President will deliver remarks reflecting on Dr. King’s life and legacy and the way that we can go forward together.692
Bottoms graciously acknowledged her gratitude for King’s legacy. As a privileged party elite, she has much to be thankful for:
But I stand here and many of you sit out there as beneficiaries of that dream, his sacrifice, and service. So, I am eternally grateful for that.693
Then we got down to pushing the Biden administration’s vision for black America:
Well, equity is at the center of what we do from this administration. And so, that’s extremely important.694
No matter what Democrats do, regardless of how much taxpayer money they rifle through or legislation they pass, things just never seem to get better for their favorite voting bloc, or at least that’s what they tell us. Their appeals are so old and so stale that we keep hearing the same taglines over and over:
You know, it’s been said that when America catches a cold, that Black America catches the flu. Well, that’s also in relation to the economy. We often know that communities of color and those communities that often face additional challenges have additional challenges with the economy.695
Bottoms spoke of King’s Poor People’s Campaign. The Biden administration and the Democrat Party have their own Poor People’s Campaign. The goal is to keep black communities and especially urban black communities teetering on the edge in perpetuity.
What has Biden done to help make this happen?
The president’s immigration policies flooded the nation with deadly drugs and fentanyl, in particular, despite a National Institute on Drug Abuse report that showed overdose deaths are worse for black communities:
These alarming data are in line with other research documenting a widening of disparities in overdose deaths in Black communities in recent years, largely driven by heroin and illicit fentanyl.696
Allowing this to happen because Biden’s illegal immigration agenda is more important than protecting American citizens is not equity. It is murder.
Economic advancement has everything to do with jobs and the job market. The new White House scheme to bring 30,000 alleged asylum seekers into the country and hand them work authorization is not going to advance urban black communities where Democrats claim opportunities for advancement are limited. Instead, the president is introducing competition from foreign nationals who will do almost anything to work and live in America. Their numbers are in addition to the millions of illegals he let in who will also be working here thanks to a government that guarantees a minimum wage in exchange for breaking our labor laws. This is not a level playing field. This is not equity for the black community. It is equity for illegals and migrants..
The Democrat Party’s crusade against assault weapons is the perfect political distraction for the refusal to deal with urban violence. It has all the trappings of the ideal left vs. right partisan battle. The violence in cities like Chicago and Atlanta and New York and Los Angeles is absolutely appalling, to the extent that many people I know – and that includes me – no longer venture into the Windy City. Illinois’ answer was to pass an assault weapons ban, though in this morning’s reports of weekend shootings thus far there is no mention of this type of weapon being used.
The flip side of ignoring genocidal violence in the black community is condoning low level offenses like shoplifting backed by propaganda that attacks the police instead of criminals. California blazed the trail with Proposition 47. No cash bail laws including Illinois’ controversial new SAFE-T Act have flourished to no good end. Racial justice, it turns out, is really justice for Democrat elites who are not impacted by the policies they enforce.
To really see what Democrats do for black Americans all you need to do is look at the cities they control. Poverty, crime, killings, homelessness, and drugs pervade the urban hellholes the left took control of long ago. This is not a racism issue, unless you are talking about the racism implicit in using an entire ethnic group as a political token. That’s what I expect to hear from MLK opportunist Joe Biden this morning. Maybe he’ll even have a new story to compete with his lie about being arrested while trying to visit Nelson Mandela. If nothing else, our serial liar president is adept at keeping us surprised.
UPDATE January 16, 2023:
By his own flawed measure, Biden is a contemptible failure who will destroy the Soul of America.
President Biden reaffirmed why he ran for America’s highest elected office during remarks at Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church yesterday:
I ran for three reasons. I said I wanted to restore the soul of America. I wanted to rebuild this country from the bottom up and the middle out. And I wanted to unite it. 697
Biden didn’t need to restore anything. We were doing just fine before he sold America’s soul to an activist radical left that hates absolutely everything about our country and our people and especially the things that make America great.
Our economy didn’t need a rebuild either, and especially not the climate-centric fiscal mayhem that delivered soaring inflation and skyrocketing prices with shortages and unaffordable food and fuel. The administration doubled down and now celebrates our snail’s pace progress against inflation as a win for the American people, as if the Biden agenda and Democrat spending that caused America’s best in the world economy to stumble never happened.
Not only did Biden stamp out every trace of national unity, he destroyed what makes us a nation by denying American sovereignty. He drove home the message that we don’t deserve a border by placing more value on mass illegal immigration than on the lives of Americans who are dying in droves from fentanyl and will likely die in the months and years to come at the hands of criminal illegals who slipped past our overwhelmed and underappreciated Border Patrol.
Do you remember how the White House played up phony allegations that the Border Patrol whipped migrants? This is a prima facie example of how an agenda based on lies demoralizes a nation and takes a big bite out of its soul. The problem isn’t that the White House got behind this hoax. The problem is that like so many things this administration is responsible for we knew what we were hearing was wrong and we were powerless to do anything to stop it.
In truth, even Biden’s border crisis can be resolved with responsible leadership. On the other hand, what this president has done to the sense that we are united as Americans with a common purpose, which is the very definition of the Soul of America, may never be reversed.
Now we’re fighting over schools that indoctrinate our children in the hows and whys of fringe sexual proclivities. Equity policies make merit and greatness irrelevant. Trumped-up charges of racism are applied to practically everything in America including Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s racist roads. White supremacy is found in every aspect of our society that succeeds. We just discovered that our First Amendment is non-existent and the federal agencies, politicians, and corporate media elites responsible never bothered to tell us. Our news is filtered, altered, and skewed to advantage the left. Thanks to the Biden administration, our public health information is so politicized and untrustworthy that many of us now assume everything we hear about COVID-19 is a lie.
If I could offer the president one unsolicited piece of advice it would be to never, ever use the phrase “Soul of America” again. His reprehensible September 1, 2022 prime time “Soul of America” attack on Republicans after accusing them of “semi-fascism” a few days earlier was a historic low point even for this president. For those of us who actually care about America’s soul, this phrase is just another grim reminder of Biden’s hateful, blood-red drenched speech from Independence Hall.
The president claims that America’s “soul is the breath, the life, the essence of who we are.”698 He should have added the caveat that who we are must align with what Democrats and the radical left want, or else that soul lies somewhere between a threat to democracy and neo-Nazism.
Perhaps forgetting who he was ostensibly honoring, Biden lapsed into the same hateful rhetoric that stained his legacy last September:
And the battle for the soul of this nation is perennial. It’s a constant struggle. It’s a constant struggle between hope and fear, kindness and cruelty, justice and injustice against those who traffic in racism, extremism, and insurrection; a battle fought on battlefields and bridges, from courthouses and ballot boxes, to pulpits and protests.699
Racism? Extremism? Insurrection? A battle? These divisive words were no accident. Neither is destroying our country so it can be rebuilt in the image of the America-hating radical left.
Biden reminded us that this is all about We the People:
Every generation is required to keep it, defend it, protect it, to be repairers of the breach, and to remember that the power to redeem the soul of America lies where it always has lie — lay: in the hands of “We the People.” “We the People.” (Applause.)700
Of course, it’s a lot harder for We the People to redeem anything when the man entrusted with the Soul of America hands the nation a constant stream of lies and propaganda to shore up his political agenda. By his own measures – rebuilding the economy, uniting Americans and most important, safeguarding our collective soul – Biden is a contemptible failure. If the Soul of America survives his presidency, it will be thanks to the foundations of this great nation that he strives so mightily to destroy. If it does not, we can only thank ourselves for asking this deplorable man to lead us.
UPDATE January 21, 2023:
So many illegals trafficked to America and Biden handed the profits to cartels.
It speaks volumes about the stunning incompetence of Joe Biden that the massive invasion of foreign nationals we are forbidden to call a Great Replacement under threat of being labeled white supremacists didn’t earn taxpayers a profit. Instead, as part of his administration’s sweeping plan to destroy America Biden enriched criminal cartels and effectively handed them control of our border without making any money for us.
This is a policy that lies somewhere between abject stupidity and flagrant anti-Americanism. The American people are well aware that the president and Alejandro Mayorkas are feeding us a steady diet of lies. We know the border is wide open. We know the drugs spreading across the country feed the Democrat Party’s desire to turn America into a nation of dependent, docile, government-regulated addicts. We know the White House will happily trade American lives in exchange for illegals. We also know that criminal cartels are making unbelievable profits that Biden doesn’t even have the decency to go after on behalf of American taxpayers.
The president says that he is a capitalist. I suspect what he’s fond of is more of a profits for me and socialism for thee scenario. Fentanyl producer China is profiting from his open border. Cartels and no doubt corrupt officials in Mexico’s government are profiting. Criminals in the U.S. are also profiting and yet the president turns a blind eye to the only possible benefit from his outrageous illegal immigration scam.
Cartels understand capitalism. They understand free enterprise and profit. They also understand that the U.S. government under Joe Biden is more than willing to make them a lot of money to the tune of $10,000-$20,000 per illegal.701
In June 2022 the estimate for cartel profits from human trafficking was $32 million per day.702 Biden’s DHS admits:
Transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) that control human smuggling are increasingly exploiting migrants seeking to get to our borders, capitalizing on lies and misinformation and showing very little regard for the lives they endanger every day. Human smuggling syndicates are run like businesses, drawn by high profit margins in what is now a multi-billion-dollar operation.703*
Capitalizing on lies and misinformation? Sound familiar? Biden and Mayorkas capitalized on the hoax about border agents whipping migrants, a lie the White House grabbed and ran with. Instead of taking the money away from cartels and handing it to taxpayers, Mayorkas’ agency tried to convince us in October 2022 that its “Counter Human Smuggler” campaign made a difference:
Launched in April 2022, the Biden Administration’s “Counter Human Smuggler” campaign—a first-of-its-kind effort of unprecedented scale led by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)—is designed to disrupt and dismantle human smuggling networks. In less than six months, this new strategy has produced over a 500% increase in human smuggling disruption activity compared to similar past operations and has recently surpassed 5,000 smuggler arrests.704
New numbers from the border contradict the alleged impact DHS policies have on the president’s illegal immigrant invasion, but CBP Acting Commissioner Troy Miller still applauds December 2022’s border enforcement success:
The December update shows our new border enforcement measures are working. Even as overall encounters rose because of smugglers spreading misinformation around the court-ordered lifting of the Title 42 public health order, we continued to see a sharp decline in the number of Venezuelans unlawfully crossing our southwest border, down 82% from September 2022,” said CBP Acting Commissioner Troy Miller.705
For most Americans an illegal is an illegal. We don’t care where they come from.
Here is what success, Biden and Mayorkas-style, really looks like:
The number of unique individuals encountered on the southwest land border in December 2022 was 216,162, an 11 percent increase in the number of unique enforcement encounters from the prior month, driven largely by an increased number of individuals fleeing authoritarian regimes in Cuba and Nicaragua.706
We can’t turn a profit on the million or more known gotaways who illegally entered our country beginning in Fiscal Year 2021. Nor can we tax the fentanyl streaming in and promoted by decriminalization policies and legal drug use centers. How about the migrants that turn themselves in knowing our government will welcome them with open arms?
Since we’re obviously eager to bring as many foreign nationals into the U.S. as humanly possible and the administration claims that it doesn’t support criminal cartels, why isn’t Biden sending transport planes into Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and anywhere else he can find new Democrat voters and charging a fee to come to America? Illegals have the money to give to cartels. They might as well give it to the U.S. government to support Biden’s human trafficking agenda. Biden obviously wants them here. Why shouldn’t the money go to hard-working taxpayers?
Maybe the destructive hacks the president tapped to help him destroy our country can also cut a deal with the cartels for cheap fentanyl to sell at government-sponsored injection sites.708 We might as well make a buck on this, too. That’s how capitalism works.
