UPDATE January 31, 2022:
Biden asks a simple question that sums up his year of destroying the great things about America and the answer is not good.
Joe Biden doesn’t care about poll numbers that show he is extraordinarily unpopular. He doesn’t seem to have any concerns about what the American people think. Radical left dishonesty permeates his every move, from clandestine illegal immigrant trafficking to accusing law-abiding citizens of being white supremacists and domestic terrorists to misrepresenting where taxpayers’ infrastructure money is going.
During last week’s speech in Pittsburgh the president asked the single most important question of his presidency to date:
This is the United States of America, for God’s sake. What are we doing? What in God’s name are we doing?212
He was talking about infrastructure and the availability of internet for school kids, but let’s be honest. It’s a question we’ve been asking for twelve disastrous months while Biden destroys every great thing about America that he can get his hands on.
It’s possible that the president is so out of touch with reality that he doesn’t understand how badly statements like this reflect on his incredibly divisive administration and thebetrayal of a major campaign promise:
It’s about time we stopped fighting, and it’s about time we start working together again. Thank you for your consideration for what we’re talking about. (Applause.) We can do an awful lot.213
Yes, as Americans we can do an awful lot if we work together. The president can also do an awful lot by dividing us, ignoring what the people really care about, and playing the role of dupe for the destructive radical left.
Here is a short list of the “awful lot” Biden has accomplished:
Covert, taxpayer-funded human trafficking;
Ending our national sovereignty with open borders;
Laissez-faire approach to supply chain shortages and the resulting price hikes;
Foreign policy disasters like Afghanistan and the dangerous fumbling over Russia and Ukraine;
Incompetent administration appointments based on identity politics and radical left priorities;
Putting parents on notice that if they are concerned about their schools they might be targeted by the government;
A first Supreme Court appointment Biden promises will be based on gender and race;
A massive failure to manage the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting deaths, test shortages, failure to provide lifesaving therapies, and endorsement of race-
The list goes on and on. Biden’s presidency begs the question of whether we can survive one more, much less three more years of this destructive parody of leadership.
It’s lucky for Joe that he doesn’t seem to worry about all the things going wrong thanks to him. For reasons I am at a complete loss to understand, Biden thinks he can keep doing what he’s doing and make America a better place:
Let’s keep building a better America, because it’s totally, completely within our power. I promise you. I promise you.214
He also seems to believe we still have faith in his promises. That delusion alone calls his competence into question.
UPDATE February 6, 2022:
Great thing about America #65: our president protects American lives. Joe Biden does not.
How many Americans will die because of Biden’s incompetence?
Give Joe Biden credit for bravery. On Friday he commemorated the 900,000 Americans deaths from COVID-19. Did his statement slip under the media radar? The nation should be angry and outraged at what this president has done to ensure Americans continue to die from this virus.
Dead Americans are a theme with this president. Thirteen servicemembers died during Biden’s bungled Afghanistan exit. The streets in our largest cities run red with blood, often the blood of children thanks to violent crime that Press Secretary Jen Psaki blames on gun violence instead of violent people and our shackled criminal justice system. Bellicose rhetoric from the White House is begging for a war with Russia, perhaps with the thought that it will distract the public from the growing list of failures we can thank this president for.
Biden refuses to hold himself accountable to the same COVID-19 standard he demanded of President Donald Trump. Deaths are approaching the one million mark. He hasn’t resigned. Biden is still fixated on vaccinations while the treatments that save lives are not available for many, if not most Americans:
We can save even more lives — and spare countless families from the deepest pain imaginable — if everybody does their part. I urge all Americans: get vaccinated, get your kids vaccinated, and get your booster shot if you are eligible. It’s free, easy, and effective — and it can save your life, and the lives of those you love.215
Biden administration took over monoclonals and Americans keep dying.
Congressman Glenn Grothman (R-WI) observes what happened after the Biden administration took over monoclonal antibody distribution:
Last September, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) notified states that the federal government would be taking over control of distribution access to mAb treatments. Since then, Wisconsin and other states have experienced significant shortages in access to mAb treatment for COVID-19 patients, despite President Biden’s promise to ramp up distribution.216
Even if these lifesaving treatments were available, the administration’s race narrative manifested in an FDA decision to recommend lives be saved with scarce treatments on the basis of skin color. To be eligible for treatment you have to prove that you have COVID-19, which is a problem for many because the White House also ran out of tests as the omicron variant surged and began killing scores of Americans. Biden says they were caught by surprise. How many died because the president couldn’t foresee what any 8th grader could have predicted months ago?
When we hit one millions deaths on Biden’s watch the only White House consideration will be how to use this tragic loss of life to the Democrat Party’s advantage. Republican governors and Donald Trump will be blamed. Forked tongues will wag. None of it will bring back the friends, neighbors, and family members who died because of Joe Biden’s appalling incompetence and absolute failure of leadership. Above all else, a president’s job is to protect American lives. Instead, Joe Biden sits back and watches Americans die while his propaganda meisters decide how to best spin the numbers.
UPDATE February 9, 2022:
Great thing about America #66: Biden destroyed our trust in ethical, moral, and common sense lines in the sand.
Psaki says crack pipes won’t be included in Biden’s drug kits, but the real story is why we believed they would be.
In today’s White House press conference Jen Psaki cleared up the controversy over reports that our taxes would be used to provide government crack pipes to addicts. It turns out that the Biden administration’s safe drug abuse kits will be lacking that most important item of all: a device for using drugs.
That’s bad news for addicts and good news for taxpayers, though we still have every reason to be leery over spending 30 million to provide lip balm and alcohol swabs to safely use drugs that can kill you at the drop of a hat. When you’re shooting a dirty powder of unknown origin that you bought in a back alley into your vein, it would seem that your lip health should be the least of your worries.
There’s a much larger issue at play here than what is or isn’t included in the Biden drug kits. When I heard that my hard-earned tax dollars were going to purchase crack pipes I believed the story. I’m still having a hard time convincing myself that the original reports were inaccurate. Did the White House deep six the real plan because it was just too outrageous even for the woke liberal brand of crazy we expect from this president and his crew of rabid, identity-politics obsessed ideologues? We’ll never know for sure. With this administration absolutely nothing is beyond belief.
The crack pipe story was entirely believable because this White House recognized no moral, legal, ethical, or even common sense boundaries. The border is prima facie proof that anything is possible. This is liberal opposite land. If you want to know what Democrats and their president are going to do next, just think about what you would like to happen and then twist it 180 degrees. That’s what they will do next.
Government-issued crack pipes with the White House logo emblazoned on the bowl? Sure. Why not?
UPDATE February 19, 2022:
Great thing about America #67: America’s president projects strength in an international crisis. Instead, we have Joe Biden.
I’m losing count of how many times Russia was about to invade Ukraine. The warmongering from President Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and administration officials over a foreign war they seem eager to get underway does not play well with the diminished credibility the White House has with the American people.
That’s a problem. Biden has no more credibility to spare. When it comes to the trust and confidence of America people, his poll numbers speak for themselves.
Considering the president’s historic unpopularity and the failure of his domestic agenda we can’t really blame him for wanting a distraction. To that end he’s doing his best to keep us on the edge of our seats:
You know, look, we have reason to believe the Russian forces are planning to and intend to attack Ukraine in the coming week — in the coming days.217
That was from yesterday. We also heard that the White House knows for a fact that Putin has made up his mind. Meanwhile, the saber rattling and talk of bloodshed, destruction, severe consequences, sanctions, and all the other trappings we expect before a military conflict starts are in full force.
The problem, of course, is that we aren’t marching into this crisis with a full deck. Instead, we have Biden, Harris, and Cabinet officials hand-picked for their wokeness.
Presidential lap dog Nancy Pelosi claims we are better off with Biden at the helm:
Under President Biden, the transatlantic alliance is stronger and more united – and we will continue to be together in our response.218
After Afghanistan it’s hard to imagine that anyone believes this conflict would be spiraling out of American control if Trump was still in the White House. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik laid out the consequences of Biden’s incompetence:
Joe Biden’s weakness on the world stage has emboldened our foreign adversaries, and now the reality of Vladimir Putin invading our democratic partner in Ukraine is becoming more imminent.
Not only has Joe Biden’s inaction brought Europe to the brink of catastrophe, but his failed leadership once again risks abandoning American citizens in a war zone.219
Last year’s Munich Security Conference went virtual because of the pandemic. This year the president dispatched Kamala Harris. Harris is an abject failure in her own right, especially when it comes to protecting international boundaries like our southern border. Sending Harris will not foster unity with our NATO allies. Since we have no faith in her whatsoever here at home, why should foreign leaders be any different?
One of the great things about America is that our reputation and credibility lend immense strength during international crises. Our allies and adversaries alike have faith in the force of our president’s words. With Biden and Harris in charge our credibility is diminished if not outright obliterated. We are approaching the Russia-Ukraine conflict from a position of historic weakness thanks to Joe Biden and the roadmap to failure he established with his disastrous retreat from Afghanistan. Our strength will not see us through this crisis because Biden has done everything in his power to show the world we have none.
UPDATE February 25, 2022:
Not great again: Biden brings fear and despair to America with his new crisis.
Finally, President Biden has something to distract us from our overrun border, violent crime wave, high food and energy prices, and inflation. We can forget about the supply chain delays and empty store shelves. Instead, thank the White House for addressing America’s “critical supply chains” and the “historic recovery in American manufacturing and industrial strength.”220
With our domestic problems in full swing despite Biden’s self-congratulations, we’re now warned of even worse times ahead knowing that America’s president is not up to the challenge presented by the war in Ukraine.
This is where the strong American leadership we enjoyed with Donald Trump makes a difference. With Biden and Harris at the helm, if there was ever a time to despair that time is here now.
Despair, America. Joe Biden is our president.
The Biden-Harris administration is a historic American catastrophe, a failure of leadership so extreme that it leaves us without hope. Worse, we now have every reason to fear the consequences of Biden’s incompetent, cognitively questionable leadership in a military conflict that could escalate to real climate change of the thermonuclear variety.
After weeks of fanning the flames of the Ukraine crisis with empty rhetoric and threats, the president finally got the diversion he needs to distract us from his catastrophic domestic agenda. News coverage shifted to Eastern Europe. Suddenly crime, high prices, and illegal immigrants are off the radar.
Harris adds to our despair.
If we were looking for some shred of hope in the White House’s handling of this crisis, that hope was dashed when Kamala Harris embarrassed us again with her unintelligible babbling at the conclusion of the Munich Security Conference:
It [the conference] was important in that, as you all know, this is a moment that is very dynamic. If not every hour, certainly every day, there seem to be new moments of interest and also of intelligence.221
Then she delivered the bad news:
As the President talked about in his speech, we are aware that, again, when America stands for her principles and all of the things that we hold dear, it requires sometimes for us to put ourselves out there in a way that maybe we will incur some cost. And in this situation, that may relate to energy costs, for example. But we are taking very specific and appropriate, I believe, steps to mitigate what that cost might be if it happens.222
Maybe incur some cost? “Appropriate steps” means not angering the climate control radicals who control Biden, so don’t expect your gas prices to do anything but go up along with the cost of everything else you depend on to survive.
If the president really wants to limit our pain he can start by undoing the attack on our energy sector that began the moment he took office. Instead, he joins Harris in warning us about more sacrifice on the way:
As I said last week, defending freedom will have costs for us as well, here at home. We need to be honest about that.223
Honesty is not the president’s strength. It’s not America’s responsibility to defend freedom in Ukraine. It’s the assumed obligation of a failing White House that needs the distraction of this very dangerous, potentially apocalyptic conflict.
Most of us know there is a solution to the energy problem right here at home, but the best the American people are going to get is an empty promise or lie – your choice – that our pain makes a difference to this president:
I want to limit the pain the American people are feeling at the gas pump. This is critical to me.224
No, it’s not. The pain we feel at the pump is a facet of Biden’s war on America’s fossil fuel industry. If he wants to limit the pain, he can do it. If he wants to restrict illegal immigration, he can do it. If he wants to clamp down on crime, he can call out Democrats who control our cities. If he wants to bolster the supply chain he can do more than take credit for measures that didn’t work while he promises more of the same.
If he wants to keep America out of the Ukraine conflict he can stop running his mouth about dispatching troops to Eastern Europe. He can end the public war of words with Putin and do whatever needs to be done covertly.
America doesn’t have a leader. Now we’re facing a conflict in the wrong hands that could turn into a world war or worse. With Biden at the helm and Democrats running Congress the mood of the country in the absence of strong leadership will turn to despair because we know that whatever it takes to keep America great, Biden is going to do the opposite.
