UPDATE August 7, 2021:
Great thing about America #32: political power resides with our citizens
Joe Biden will never admit that the goal of admitting historic numbers of illegals into America is to vest them with political power that isn’t just about voting. What is happening to our country is much broader than the simple exercise of the vote by illegals.
Remember the Democratic Party’s fury when Donald Trump tried to keep illegals out of the 2020 Census?
Today’s memorandum shows President Trump’s inexhaustible contempt for our constitutional system and the rule of law,” said Chairman Raskin. “The U.S. Constitution requires ‘an actual Enumeration’ of the ‘whole number of persons’ in the country for ‘apportioning representatives among the states in Congress.’106
They foamed at the mouth and insisted the effort to deny Census representation to illegal immigrants was designed to:
corrupt the democratic processes on which our nation was founded.107
Everything Democrats disagree with is a threat to democracy, is racist, or more than likely both. That includes handing political power to illegals, asylum seekers, and migrants. It’s not just about the vote. It’s about the Census, districting, apportioning congressional representation in Washington, handing out taxpayer dollars, and the very real threat created by simple numbers. We’ll get to that in a moment.
Every inch the door is opened to illegals increases their political might. What Democrats are doing is insidious and costly. Education for illegals is free. Democrats are pushing to add Affordable Care Act benefits to the free ER visits anyone without money can enjoy. Communities with growing numbers of illegals will face overwhelming political pressure to accompany the financial pressure on public services created by a surge of low or no income residents. We can only guess what will happen to crime rates, though as bad as they have become under Biden’s watch we might not even notice.
The president didn’t create this mess. He purposely made it worse and there is a reason. Biden is forcing Americans to hand out the benefits of citizenship to illegals because their growing numbers won’t give us any choice.
The day he took the oath of office Biden sent the U.S. Citizenship Act to Congress. Like the constant flow of lies and disinformation flowing from his White House the bill put a smiling face on his determination to vest illegal immigrants with political might:
The bill will stimulate our economy while ensuring that every worker is protected. The bill creates an earned path to citizenship for our immigrant neighbors, colleagues, parishioners, community leaders, friends, and loved ones—including Dreamers and the essential workers who have risked their lives to serve and protect American communities.108
So what about the ultimate exercise of political power, the vote? Kamala Harris set the stage when she recently talked about “anti-voter legislation:”109
It will not be easy. But the struggle over voting rights has never been easy. Each generation has fought to expand voting rights, and we owe it to the next generation to fight for every American’s right to vote and have their vote counted.109
We saw this week just how little the law and the Constitution matter to Biden when he extended the eviction moratorium. Does anyone with the intelligence to read this believe for a second that he won’t work with Democrats to find a way to hand illegals the vote in time for the 2024 election?
A much more troubling question is whether it even matters. By 2024 the numbers of foreign nationals from all over the world that Biden has let into the U.S. will be staggering. They will wield incredible economic and political power whether or not they can vote and when they are denied that right, remember what happened last summer? That’s were Biden is taking us. Remember that the next time you hear the president or a Democrat talk about protecting democracy.
UPDATE August 11, 2021:
Great thing about America #33: when we talk about democracy we mean democracy, not socialism
It started this morning with a White House release: “President Biden to Convene Leaders’ Summit for Democracy.” He wants to:
speak honestly about the challenges facing democracy so as to collectively strengthen the foundation for democratic renewal.110
“Renewal” implies that something was lost. I think Joe is confusing democracy with the authoritarian, socialist system he is working hard to impose. Democratic renewal sounds friendlier and a lot less threatening.
The White House selected three areas of concern: defending against authoritarianism, fighting corruption, and promoting respect for human rights.111
That’s laughable coming from a White House that defines authoritarianism, a political machine that oozes corruption, and a political narrative that respects human rights by promoting a racist war against white people.
What’s so much more disturbing is the obvious ignorance of the White House about what democracy is and how it works. Jen Psaki elaborated during today’s press briefing:
The President has said that the challenges of our time — the challenge of our time is to demonstrate that democracies can deliver by improving the lives of their own people and by addressing the greatest problems facing the wider world.112
Democracies are the people. Biden is an authoritarian and worse, a Democrat. That’s why whatever the issue it’s about what the government plans to do to the people and not what the people demand of the government, like keeping illegals out of our country, socialism out of our economy, and racist CRT instruction out of our schools.
Joe and company chose the most undemocratic economic system of all to make our lives better. It’s going to cost somewhere around $4.5 trillion to get things started, but if they pull it off the president can cancel his pro-democracy Zoom call because we won’t be a democracy.
We’re already ruled by authoritarian elites who care only about securing their hold on power for the duration of their natural lives, but with the proposed $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill added on to the $1 trillion we’re throwing at infrastructure America will finally achieve a socialist system. Instead of rubbing elbows with other democracies Biden can join the ranks of countries that focus on “improving the lives of their own people” with socialism. He has plenty of role models to consult for advice. Venezuela is close by. That’s a good place to start.
UPDATE August 13, 2021:
Great Thing About America #34: America does not negotiate with terrorists
How many times have we listened to President Biden spread partisan propaganda about domestic terrorists? According to the administration domestic terrorism is THE thing to fear. The threat is so pervasive that in June 2021 the White House published a National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism that called for America to be “clear-eyed about this challenge”113 because “Domestic terrorism is both persistent and evolving.”114
No negotiating with domestic terrorists
The president is determined to track down domestic terror wherever it rears its evil head:
We cannot ignore this threat or wish it away.115
There will be no negotiating between the White House and right wing extremists in America. Biden will root them out and shut them down with “concerted action” and “coordinated implementation.”116
Today’s domestic terrorism threat will not fade if we simply hope for its disappearance, let alone if we ignore it.117
Lucky Taliban finds out Biden will negotiate with international terrorists
Hoping for international terror’s disappearance seems to be Biden’s new policy for dealing with Afghanistan. What happened this week is one of the most appalling embarrassments to America in recent memory and that includes the administration-led illegal immigrant invasion.
Please stop talking about Afghanistan, Jen. You aren’t helping.
Jen Psaki is so far over her head on this one that she should either stop talking about Afghanistan or take a long-planned vacation. By now you’ve heard her incredibly foolish and dangerous thoughts on Taliban terrorism:
The Taliban also has to make an assessment about what they want their role to be in the international community.118
When asked about a “negotiated political settlement” Psaki blamed Afghan forces:
one, we have also said that there’s no question that the Afghan National Defense Security Forces would be strengthened, as would the Afghan political leadership, if they were to have more success in fighting back. There’s no question about that.119
This is not how America confronts terrorism. It’s how Joe Biden and a White House full of identity-obsessed ideologues ignore a massive security problem of their own making.
America doesn’t negotiate with domestic terrorists who are members of right-wing extremist groups. We lock them up and throw away the key.
The Taliban is another matter. If we agree to join hands with these terrorists, discard the memory of 9/11 because it conflicts with the administration’s message about terrorism on January 6, and rely on the will of the international community to make everything better we won’t have to worry, right Joe?
UPDATE August 15, 2021:
Great Thing About America #35: America leads the world
No, we don’t according to the president.
Biden recently claimed that he will help America “once again lead the world.”121 He didn’t say who is in charge or why we’re not leading the world now. Instead, he is proving the truth of his words.
In one short week our commander-in-chief not only gave in to Taliban rule in Afghanistan, he let the world know loud and clear that we expect these terrorists to do the right thing by the international community and the U.S. In case this isn’t enough to permanently tarnish America’s reputation for strength, Obama retread Andrew Mayorkas announced off mike that the unwashed masses swarming over our southern border are more than we can cope with.
That’s after an embarrassing display of internal rot at the Olympics thanks to the anti-American narrative spread by the Democrat Party. While we showed the world externally how much we despise ourselves, internally the administration attacked Florida Governor Rick DeSantis and bribed Florida schools to impose a mask mandate as the Delta variant sweeps across the country, kills more Americans, threatens our recovery, and poses absolutely no risk of a serious investigation or punitive action against China, the WHO, or public health dictator Fauci. Instead, the Democrat-controlled House is investigating the American people’s ties to white supremacy.
That investigation brings us back to the self-hatred behind Biden’s “once again” comment. He continues to be perfectly clear that he doesn’t think America is a world leader and a great place filled with great people. His astounding naiveté over Afghanistan proves the truth of his words.
9:47 a.m. Moments after I finished this update the news broke that Afghan President Ghani had left the country. The devastation that follows is emblematic of what the world should expect from the Biden administration and a nation that was second to none before the Democrat Party took over the White House. This is a day that will shame us for decades to come.
UPDATE August 16, 2021:
Great Thing About America #36: our leaders accept responsibility for their actions
1:03 p.m.: To be entirely truthful this isn’t a great thing about America. Our presidents are adept at shifting blame to their predecessors, which is precisely what we should expect from Joe Biden when he makes his statement today on the disastrous consequences of his sudden pullout from Afghanistan. The difference for Biden is the extremity of his party’s hatred for Trump and Democrats’ eagerness to demand responsibility they would never accept themselves.
Democrats insisted the Trump administration accept responsibility for everything from January 6 to the management of the COVID pandemic, which at one point elicited a complaint letter from 69 Democrats:
We will not allow health experts to be silenced,” said Congresswoman Jayapal. “At a time when we’ve already lost more American lives from COVID-19 than we did during World War I, the Trump administration must take responsibility for spreading misinformation and engaging in a fully flawed response effort instead of corruptly trying to hide the truth, cover up the facts and change the data.” 122
Democrats ruthlessly attacked Trump for pulling out of Obama’s Iran nuclear deal and insisted that “he will be the one responsible for Iran’s nuclear program.” 123 They even asked him to take responsibility for their propaganda-fabricated threat of white supremacy by demanding he denounce right wing extremism that he never advocated.
Now it’s time for Joe Biden to accept the same responsibility Democrats demanded of Trump. Let’s keep it simple and start with Afghanistan. We’ll get to the border and COVID later.
3:30 p.m.: In a confusing address rationalizing his Afghanistan policy the president blamed the Afghan people for not having the will to fight for their country. He noted that our mission to “degrade” terrorists in Afghanistan was a success. Apparently that’s justification for America to turn her back and walk away.
Perhaps during his vacation he didn’t have access to the media the rest of us do. Taliban terrorists are in charge of Afghanistan now. A week ago they were not. They now have a country all to themselves to train more terrorists and launch attacks on the U.S. and our allies. They did not have this a week ago. According to news reports they are engaging in horrific acts of violence evident in the desperation of the Afghan people to get out of the country. A week ago this was not happening, or at least not to the extent we should expect in the days to come.
Worst of all, the world heard from an American president whose idea of responsibility is to walk away from a situation we bear responsibility for. This is a national embarrassment that somehow, against all odds Biden managed to make worse in the space of a few, short responsibility-shirking moments.
UPDATE August 17, 2021:
Great thing about America #37: our presidents know when it’s time to talk to the people like we’re not idiots
Not this president, though. Biden’s comments yesterday during his few short moments in the spotlight ran the gamut from ridiculous to insulting. The American people are not idiots. We don’t like being talked to like we are, especially by a politician.
One sentence before the president turned tail, refused questions, and fled back to wherever he is hiding during this crisis sums up the White House approach to communicating with the public:
My national security team and I have been closely monitoring the situation on the ground in Afghanistan and moving quickly to execute the plans we had put in place to respond to every constituency, including — and contingency — including the rapid collapse we’re seeing now.124
Just to be sure we got the message he said it again:
We were clear-eyed about the risks. We planned for every contingency.125
The American people are not stupid. We have TVs. We even know how to use the internet and most of us can read. If what we’re seeing is the result of planning for every contingency what do you think will happen when absent Joe and the best people identity politics can choose get caught in a crisis with their pants down and no plan in sight? My guess is he’ll make the same speech we heard yesterday with the assumption that we’re the stupid ones.
