UPDATE January 24, 2023:
Bodies pile up in Biden’s deadly, lawless America while the president seeks a partisan victory.
President Biden issued a surprisingly shallow, partisan response to another tragic shooting in Half Moon Bay, California that took 7 lives:
Yesterday, Senator Feinstein — alongside Senators Murphy, Blumenthal and others — reintroduced a federal Assault Weapons Ban and legislation that would raise the minimum purchase age for assault weapons to 21. Even as we await further details on these shootings, we know the scourge of gun violence across America requires stronger action. I once again urge both chambers of Congress to act quickly and deliver this Assault Weapons Ban to my desk, and take action to keep American communities, schools, workplaces, and homes safe.709
Biden is ready and willing to join his party in ignoring their reimagining of an America that is more violent and deadly than ever, so lawless and violent that left-wing domestic terrorists in Georgia felt empowered to riot in Atlanta on Saturday night after a protester who shot a police officer was killed during the confrontation.
This is what happens in a nation where the value of life comes second to enforcing a progressive narrative by any means necessary, where criminals are empowered, ordinary citizens are targeted for observing their Second Amendment rights, and we can’t even agree that killing an infant after birth is fundamentally wrong.
Joe Biden has so thoroughly destroyed the concept of a nation of laws that illegal immigration takes precedence over protecting the lives of citizens from criminals, drugs, and even terrorists determined to enter our country. Riots are peaceful protests. Violent offenders are released as quickly as they are arrested. Even pedophiles get a break as offensive terms like “minor-attracted person” start to catch on with the progressive crowd.
It’s no accident that much of the violence in Biden’s America is centered in large cities that are governed predominantly by Democrats. Chicago, New York, Atlanta, St. Louis, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and other liberal oases are emblematic of what happens when the left takes over and urban squalor sets in. It’s a self-perpetuating state of affairs where liberal politicians demand more funding to solve problems they create and then do everything in their power to make sure their problems never go away so they can demand even more spending that never achieves the promised results.
We live in a nation where homeless addicts are rewarded with bright ideas like injection centers to make drug abuse safer and more convenient, where violent criminals are patted on the back by woke social justice reforms, and where our schools teach students that America is a nation with reprehensible values.
This is Joe Biden’s America, a nation where the president blames assault weapons that have nothing to do with the “daily acts of gun violence”710 like the 30+ people shot in Chicago last weekend so he can claim a legislative victory. The president might reflect on the policies that have turned our great nation into a country where life has less value than it did before he took office, where criminality is rewarded with leniency, and human life is willingly sacrificed to partisan priorities. He might ponder these things, but he won’t. As long as the president can use violence to score a few political points, every mass shooting is another potential win for the White House.
UPDATE January 27, 2023:
Biden destroyed as much of America as he could. Now, his sights are on a much larger goal.
No one can say Joe Biden didn’t give it his all. An illegal immigrant invasion. Fentanyl sweeping the country and killing Americans indiscriminately. Food and energy prices that brutalize his “bottom up and middle out” economic poster children. Attacks on our First and Second Amendment constitutional rights. An ideological battle with Republicans he accuses of “semi-fascism.” Record inflation. An angry, divided, crime-ridden country. No accountability or honesty for the American people and historic disrespect for the values of a great nation he willfully drove into the ground.
That finished, it seems that Biden has a much larger goal in mind than simply destroying America:
Let me put it this way. Think about it: We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis.711
That’s a legacy no one can top. If he’s successful, no one ever will.
Biden hasn’t tried to hide the fact that NATO and the West are mobilized against Russia:
This morning, I had a long conversation with our NATO Allies — German Chancellor Scholz, French President Macron, Prime Minister Sunak, and the Italian Prime Minister, Meloni — to continue our close coordination in our full support of Ukraine. Because you all know — I’ve been saying this a long time — the expectation on the part of Russia is we’re going to break up, we’re not going to stay united. But we are fully, thoroughly, totally united.712
Remember the “advisors” we sent to Viet Nam?
And we begi- — we’ll begin to train the Ukrainian troops on these issues of sustainment, logistics, and maintenance as soon as possible.713
After yesterday’s announcement that the U.S. is sending 31 advanced Abrams tanks to Ukraine, Biden’s statement that America is not fighting a war against Russia rings as false and ridiculous as Mayorkas telling us that the border is secure:
That’s what this is about: helping Ukraine defend and protect Ukrainian land. It is not an offensive threat to Russia. We are — there is no offensive threat to Russia.714
This is not true, but more important the president already said that Putin “cannot remain in power.” There is nothing defensive about regime change. This was an unadorned threat to the leader of a nuclear power who may have life-threatening health issues and even less to lose than Biden by pushing his Ukraine invasion to the predetermined conclusion that draws closer every day.
Unfortunately for America, our president has four good reasons not to care if this conflict plays out in the worst way possible.
First, Biden has lived his life. He’s eighty years old. He’s the president. He got what he wanted. The GOP House will put the brakes on his agenda. There is nowhere else for Joe to go, nothing to accomplish.
Second, Biden has an opportunity to be America’s last president. If there is someone left to write a history book and someone to read it, he will be notable for this and for destroying not only America, but the world to achieve this accomplishment.
Third, the walls are closing in. Republican investigations are starting. The classified documents scandal doesn’t help. Sooner or later America will find out what Biden and his family have been up to in China, Ukraine, and God knows where else. I suspect we won’t like the answer any more than the president will like his party’s response when he kicks his 2024 campaign into high gear.
Fourth, wherever the presidential bunker is, it’s probably a lot nicer than where most of his bottom up, middle out Americans live. Biden will be fine. We’ll be incinerated.
Last but not least, the president is incapable of getting out of his own way and his hand-picked Cabinet is not helping. While the world faced demise at the hands of Biden, Putin, and Western leaders intent on pushing this conflict into dangerously uncharted territory, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken was dealing with another foreign policy issue. He was in Chicago at Eli’s Cheesecake promoting a program to put Biden’s migrants to work:
Hey, good afternoon, everyone. So the secret is that this entire trip to Chicago was actually an excuse to come here to Eli’s. (Laughter.)715
While Blinken made jokes we’re out tens of billions in taxpayer cash to fund a war against Russia that our leaders claim we’re not fighting. We’re sending more and more military hardware. The battles lines are drawn between NATO and Russia.
The White House can deny we are in an offensive war just like Biden denies that our economy is in a shambles. It doesn’t make it true and Putin knows it.
As America’s president the world is Biden’s oyster. That means we are relying on a dangerously incompetent commander-in-chief at the end of his life and accomplishments to prevent global thermonuclear war.
American voters made a stupid, reckless decision when they put this aging progressive wreck and his cackling impeachment insurance excuse for a vice president in the White House. We still don’t know the depth or nature of his entanglements with foreign governments and likely never will as long as Washington’s security apparatus stands between the White House and the truth. What we do know is that World War III is very much on the table. If there are any solutions being proposed to extricate the West from this growing conflict before it explodes out of control, we don’t know about them.
Climate activists, take note. Now you finally have something very real to worry about.
UPDATE February 1, 2023:
Biden warns about a threat to America worse than nukes and his presidency.
After warning that we’re facing nuclear Armageddon and then ramping up NATO’s unacknowledged war against Russia, Joe Biden reminded us at a DNC fundraiser yesterday that atomic annihilation is actually not the biggest threat we face:
And, you know, we have a — if we don’t stay under 1.5 degrees Celsius incr- — we’re going to have a real problem. It’s the single-most existential threat to humanity we’ve ever faced, including nuclear weapons.716
That’s a relief.
Climate doomsaying is a big moneymaker for the Democrat Party, so it’s hard to blame the president for pushing this tiresome, hysterical narrative. Who could possibly oppose doing whatever it takes to save humanity? This existential threat is good for lots and lots of climate spending and the complete devastation of the U.S. economy that will have minimal, if any impact on the lifestyles of wealthy liberal elites like Joe Biden. Those of us who are not so fortunate will pay dearly while they clink glasses in their private jets.
Biden is a very real existential threat.
When you’re stumping for cash it’s not a good idea to tell your audience about the existential threat you pose to their existence. Yesterday’s fundraiser was in New York, a Democrat-run, crime-ridden sanctuary city that weeps and moans about the problems brought by the administration’s devastating open border policy. The president wisely avoided mentioning immigration, migrants, or the border during his remarks. After all, this was about cash, not honesty.
There were a few other trending issues the president chose not to discuss: the classified documents scandal and whether his son Hunter was privy to America’s secrets to raise cash for his alleged influence peddling business. Biden avoided words like “China” and “fentanyl” and “crime.” Instead, he attacked the Republican Party with a comment that based on his remarks at an August 25, 2022 DNC event can be construed to mean that a third of the GOP are MAGA semi-fascists:
And part of that is to make clear to the Republican — to the country that we are not going to tolerate or put up with these MAGA Republicans, these Republicans in — you know, more than just — the Trump Republican Party. Thirty percent of that — 30, 35 percent of that party is Trump’s party. And he has a very different view.717
Intolerant or not, Biden doesn’t have much of a choice but to put up with the GOP. While he would prefer that Americans docilely lower our heads like sheep to the slaughter and let him destroy our country with an illegal immigrant invasion, drugs from China and Mexico, nuclear weapons from Russia, and good old fashioned economic ruin, Pelosi’s House is a thing of the past. Now he has to bargain with politicians who at least give the appearance of caring about what happens to America, which is more than we ever get from Democrats.
Joe Biden is an existential threat to America’s survival as the preeminent global economic and military superpower. He can lie, obfuscate, ignore, and use every cheap political trick he learned during his misspent political career to delude the gullible, but it changes nothing. He likes to say that “this is not your father’s Republican Party.”718 The president is right about that, though he doesn’t acknowledge that the fanatical radicalism of the new Democrat Party is the chief cause. Dangerous extremist ideology from one political faction always creates a response from the opposition.
Biden talks about the “bizarre things” Republicans propose while his party advocates genital mutilation for minors, killing babies at birth, a massive invasion of illegals, converting our economy to climate socialism, and sitting back while the president practically begs Putin to start the missiles flying. The existential threat of this presidency is with us in the here and now. We can worry about those catastrophic 1.5 degrees later.
UPDATE February 5, 2023:
Biden’s illegal immigrant hordes and the Chinese spy balloon have one thing common.
At a DNC reception in Philadelphia on Friday, President Biden recited his long-debunked story about traveling 17,000 miles with Xi Jinping when he was Vice President.719 His propensity to repeat tall tales, fabrications, and bald-faced lies is reinforced by his friendly audiences’ unending tolerance for his failings. Biden’s remarks were preceded by chants of “Four more years!” and an isolated “We love you, Joe!”, 720 proof positive that anything and everything he says and does will be accepted without question by his supporters no matter how dangerous and destructive for our country.
The majority of Americans may not love this president, but illegal immigrants have every reason to. I’ve commented before that Biden doesn’t boast the enormous success of his illegal immigrant invasion even at friendly fundraisers and receptions. This is a curious thing, because of all the misinformation and lies he feeds the country about the success of his economic agenda, none of it can begin to compare to what he accomplished by refusing to protect our border with Mexico.
A spy balloon from China and Biden’s illegal immigrant invasion have this in common.
We can draw easy comparisons between China’s spy balloon and the illegals invading our country. Protecting America and the American people, the mission critical duty of our commander-in-chief, seem to be of little or no interest to Biden. In the case of the Chinese spy balloon, public and political outrage were too much to bear despite the White House’s determination to let China have free reign to spy over American soil until the balloon’s cross-country trek was nearly finished. We finally shot it down three days before the State of the Union.
The same holds true for the president’s illegal immigrant invasion. To date, the PR response vacillates between tepid and nonexistent while Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas lies either under the foolish assumption that we believe what he says or, like Biden, that what we think is irrelevant.
Why won’t Joe even mention the border at friendly Democrat Party functions? His illegal immigrant hordes are arguably the greatest thing he will ever do to destroy America. Illegals, asylum seekers, deadly drugs, terrorists, human traffickers, cartels, and criminals have answered his open border invitation in droves. Why won’t the president take credit? Are the pro-illegal immigrant ideologues in his administration so in control of what comes out of his mouth that he’s not allowed to discuss it, or is this part of a personal vendetta against America that the American people don’t factor into so he doesn’t feel compelled to even mention it?
The White House’s failure to deal with China’s spy balloon argues in favor of the latter explanation. If Biden is telling the truth – and that’s always an enormous IF with this serial lying president – about the timeline of when he ordered the balloon to be shot down,721 then either his military commanders don’t respect their commander-in-chief enough to follow his orders, or we have a big problem with a president who puts the CCP first and foremost. No matter which explanation you choose, the conclusion poses an enormous threat to the survival of America and the future of the American people.
UPDATE February 7, 2023:
The State of the Biden Clown Show defined with one four-letter word.
Americans don’t need tonight’s interminable recitation of lies and half-truths to evaluate the success of the Biden Clown Show. One four-letter word is more than sufficient to describe the president’s accomplishments. That word is “safe.”
The president and the radical ideologues he tapped to help him destroy America have eroded our confidence on so many levels that it’s easy to forget that only one thing really matters. It’s not the price of eggs or fuel or the public debt or even the availability of baby formula. Thanks to Joe Biden we live in a nation where we no longer feel safe. Our commander-in-chief refuses to protect our country at home. He embarrasses America and puts us at risk internationally. Even if the panoply of lies the president will tell about the economy during the State of the Union are true, if we aren’t safe from harm who cares?
In his remarks after Paul Pelosi was attacked, Biden tried to link the assault to January 6. He eventually arrived at this completely irrelevant, politically divisive conclusion:
My fellow Americans, we’re facing a defining moment, an inflection point. And we must — with one overwhelming, unified voice — speak as a country and say there is no place — no place — for voter intimidation or political violence in America, whether it’s directed at Democrats or Republicans. No place, period. No place ever.722
What is the connection between alleged voter intimidation and a man assaulted by a home invader in a liberal Democrat city notorious for its crime, homelessness, drug, and crazy person problems? Joe Biden ignoring the real issue that no American is safe.
Nothing we hear tonight will make up for the simple truth about what Biden has done to destroy our confidence in an America that’s a safe and secure place to live. His ranting about assault weapons won’t keep city streets safe. Biden can’t justify his dangerous illegal immigrant invasion or his refusal to act immediately on China’s spy balloon incursion. The enormous quantities of fentanyl sent to America by China and Mexico, a drug lethal in incredibly minute quantities, is killing our people and even raises the threat of a terror attack by one of the bad actors his open border policies lured in. No one in his administration seems concerned. If they did, they would restore America’s sovereignty instead of covering up what they’ve done with lies and misinformation.
Biden’s warning about nuclear Armageddon defines his weak, feckless foreign policy. When America falters so does global peace and security. The president’s obvious hatred for what America represents is a threat to the survival of humanity much greater than the left’s propaganda about the climate. He will tell us that this shift in perspective to Green New Deal socialism is something to celebrate. Rest assured it is not.
If you can stomach listening to Biden’s speech, listen for the one, four-letter word that defines the stunning failures of his administration. “Safe” is not on the docket. It’s anathema to what the Biden White House stands for.
