President Biden racked up an impressive list of accomplishments in just 40 days. He proved he can destroy some of the great things about America without any help from Congress. All it takes is a pen and someone to tell him where to sign.
Biden won’t look back at the damage he’s done. America was declared unworthy by Democrats. Now they have a president with the power to do something about it.
These are the great things about America Biden is destroying
Our ancestors gifted us with the greatest country on earth. We are the success story every nation aspires to. Hundreds of thousands of Americans laid down their lives to preserve and protect what the president is callously tearing apart and replacing with identity politics and liberal globalism.

NPS/Neal Herbert*
The president didn’t waste any time apologizing to the rest of the world for the Trump years. Crawling back to the international community tops the list.
Great thing about America #1: respect for who we are
Trump commanded respect from our allies and our adversaries. He knew when to say no. Unlike Barack Obama when he drew a line in the sand he stuck to it. He didn’t care that our allies weren’t happy when he called them to task. He wasn’t afraid of China. Trump refused to allow America to be taken advantage of. He didn’t lack the courage to call out those who tried.
Biden? He made this remark to world leaders assembled for last week’s 2021 Munich Security Conference:
I know — the past few years have strained and tested our transatlantic relationship, but the United States is determined — determined to reengage with Europe, to consult with you, to earn back the position of trusted leadership.1
Trump made sure America stood tall. He knows we don’t have to earn back anything with anyone.
Biden put us on our knees.
Great thing about America #2: equality
We don’t need to worry about equal rights any longer. Now we value equity.
The Biden administration’s identity politics places skin color above all else. It opens the door to all manner of expensive, vote getting social engineering.
To the best of my knowledge the color of your skin doesn’t determine your competency for a job, but the White House bases its domestic policy and hiring decisions on a color and gender preference palette that allows the president to claim diversity victories.
Even science depends on diversity. A Biden order “Restoring Trust in Government Through Scientific Integrity and Evidence-Based Policymaking” makes science and diversity inseparable:
This report shall include a review of the impact on scientific integrity of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices related to the Federal scientific and engineering workforce and scientific Federal advisory committees.2
The ghost of the Obama presidency dictates Biden’s equity policies:
President Biden will reinvigorate the federal government’s role as a model employer by expanding and building on the efforts of the Obama-Biden Administration, by requiring all agencies to take affirmative steps to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as by requiring accessibility.3
Enforce is more accurate than promote. It means we appoint agency heads like Justice Department Civil Rights Division nominee Kristen Clarke. According to the The Daily Caller she promoted a theory of black racial superiority.4
If Clarke espoused white superiority she would be run out of town, possibly investigated, and almost certainly would never work again. Lucky for her Democrats have an unlimited ability to ignore what they condemn when it applies to them. Illinois Senator Dick Durbin did exactly that when he justified Clarke’s nomination with hate-laced talking points about President Trump:
While the former President was disrespecting the Constitution, undermining democratic institutions, spreading hate, and inciting insurrection, he also reduced the DOJ Civil Rights Division to a shell of its former self. Kristen Clarke is a Justice Department veteran who has the skills, experience, and tenacity to revitalize the Civil Rights Division and renew its commitment to protecting civil rights and ensuring equal justice under the law,” Durbin said.5
Durbin didn’t bother to explain how someone who espouses racial superiority will ensure equality of anything, but equality isn’t the issue. Equity is what’s important even if means advocating racial superiority to balance the books.
Equity is especially scary when we consider the millions and millions of illegal immigrants the president is determined to turn into citizens. What will it take and how expensive will it be to achieve equity for people who arrive with nothing and little, if any education? Biden has already started to answer that question by forgiving their crimes. Taxpayers will get their answer later after the damage is done.
Great thing about America #3: the rule of law
The Wild West isn’t gone yet. We still have shootouts and carjackings in broad daylight on the streets of our big, Democrat-run cities while cash bail is legislated away. Police-involved incidents involving black or brown people mean violent protests as activists and the media get the word out before the facts are known.
The southern border is a free-for-all that’s going to get incalculably worse thanks to Biden’s amnesty stance and catch and release immigration policy. Crimes by illegal immigrants will not only be forgiven, if Biden gets what he wants we will turn them into Americans as quickly as possible. Can Democrats give them the vote before 2024?
The response from the left to the destruction of the rule of law is to demand we restrain law enforcement while we put more criminals back on the streets. Obviously this puts law-abiding citizens at risk, but an even greater danger is the progressive destruction of the threat of consequences for criminal acts.
The one exception? Trump supporters. If you plan to riot and loot make sure to do it in the name of progressivism. All will be forgiven.
Great thing about America #4: good jobs
It’s no surprise that people from all over the world want to come to America. There is no greater place to earn a living and raise a family.
Depending on what you do and where you work there is no greater tragedy than losing the means to make that living.
This country is all about the independence and initiative we’re about to lose to a president backed by socialist-leaning Democrats who will dictate one standard of living for politicians, party bureaucrats, and big money donors and a separate standard for everyone else.
Americans who already lost jobs with one stroke of Biden’s pen thanks to the left’s radical climate policies are being asked to wait for good paying, green union jobs to replace what the administration took away. Despite a White House promise to share details about what’s next for those whose jobs the president destroyed, when pressed Press Secretary Jen Psaki turned combative:
Well, I’d certainly welcome you to present your data of all the thousands and thousands of people who won’t be getting a green job. Maybe next time you’re here, you can present that.6
That’s not what you want to hear when the president just took away your livelihood and put you at the mercy of whatever liberal politicians have planned for your future.
Great thing about America #5: we are all Americans
These days it feels hypocritical to use the word “American.” Now we’re just an assortment of different colors and more genders and sexual preferences than we can keep track of.
Our national identity was the one thing all Americans could rely on no matter what. When a crisis hit we set down our differences, drew together, and did what we had to do to get through it.
The COVID-19 pandemic is one of those crises. Democrats used it to drive us apart. They even managed to inject racism into their anti-American argument as if hundreds of thousands of deaths weren’t sufficiently painful for the nation.
COVID will soon fade into the background thanks to the vaccines developed on Trump’s watch that Biden is taking credit for. That’s bad news for Democrats and the White House. Lucky for them if the worst happens and we actually get this pandemic under control they already have a fallback: domestic terrorism at the hands of anyone who might support Donald Trump in 2024.
Liberal identity politics drive us apart. We’re easier to dominate when we’re divided. That’s why even during the very worst days of the pandemic Democrats were hard at work stirring up trouble and ignoring the destruction caused by their radical base.
This won’t get better with Joe Biden in office. It’s going to get much, much worse. Nancy Pelosi is already hard at work channeling Joe McCarthy and she’s just getting started.
Great thing about America #6: self-reliance
Obama’s flawed liberalism globalism is back:
The Biden Administration has already taken a number of disastrous steps to undo President Trump’s success in countering China. Rather than demonstrating American leadership through a strategy based on peace through strength, the Biden team so far has exhibited a pattern of weakness, and a return to Obama’s failed approach of engaging rather than holding China accountable for it’s bad behavior.7
Like Obama, Biden trades America’s self-reliance for dependence on our adversaries:
The Biden Administration’s recent climate agenda orders will reverse much of that hard work by making the U.S. more dependent on energy imports and technologies from China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. This will not result in more affordable, reliable energy for Americans and raises serious national security concerns.8
Biden eagerly negated Trump-era policies without the slightest thought to the good they accomplished. As we crawl back to Obama’s international community and beg forgiveness for the four best years America has seen our self-reliance will fall to the demands of allies and opponents who will suck us dry if they can get away with it.
Under Biden, rest assured they can and will get away with it while the administration pats itself on the back for re-engaging with our partners.
The last, greatest thing about America that Biden will destroy?
Great thing about America #7: being American means something
These are confusing times. Being an American used to be a big deal. Now it could mean being an illegal immigrant. It might not mean a citizen the left believes doesn’t deserve to be called American like white people, the police, Republican politicians, and anyone else who offends their woke values.
Being American is the first, greatest thing about living in America. Now we’re back where we were during the Obama presidency with a nation ashamed of its own greatness and a party of anti-American liberals pushing to offer citizenship to anyone lucky enough to stumble across the border with their hand out.
When you devalue citizenship, destroy our national sovereignty, and apologize for our success you have destroyed what makes America great. This appears to be the point of everything Biden is doing.
Why? Let me know your thoughts.
UPDATE February 28, 2021:
Great thing about America #8: pride in our greatness
The best thing about the speeches we’re hearing at CPAC is the unabashed pride in what a great country America is. There is no shame, no apology, no regret that we’re the greatest nation on earth.
That’s pretty refreshing considering the barrage of anti-Americanism from Democrats who can’t find enough wrong with our country to placate their base whether it’s America’s unforgivable history of racism or our determination to destroy the world with our climate offenses. Even quintessential American figures the Muppets and Mr. Potato Head were judged and found guilty of what’s wrong with this terrible country. Did the liberal left run out of flesh and blood Americans to despise?
President Biden’s actions positively seethe with policies that apologize for America’s greatness:
If you are proud of America you don’t negate its sovereignty with open borders.
You don’t endanger our energy independence so we’re at the mercy of our adversaries.
You don’t disregard the rule of law that protects the American people from crime.
You don’t insinuate that tens of millions of Americans are a possible terror threat because they don’t endorse your political views.
You don’t rush to rejoin China-friendly WHO or an international climate accord that is not in America’s best interests because you are ashamed of what the international community and liberal activists might think if you stand up for the U.S.
You don’t endorse a socialist economic system that can’t possibly succeed and is in complete opposition to America’s success story because half bright extremists in your party demand it.
I could go on. There is no need. It’s been obvious since the earliest days of his campaign that Biden can’t endorse America’s greatness because in his heart he doesn’t believe in it and never will. Democrats value America because it makes them wealthy and powerful. Otherwise we could be any nation on earth. It doesn’t matter to them and even if President Biden has some limited cognizance of where he is and what he is supposed to be doing it doesn’t matter to him, either.
UPDATE March 3, 2021:
Great thing about America #9: we are a nation of immigrants
America is proud of being a nation of immigrants, but we can’t be proud of what our politics created.
Democrats still use this phrase. They tend to use it against us:
We are a proud nation of immigrants, and if this president doesn’t like that, he should resign.9
The president Rep. Norma Torres (D-CA) is referring to is not Joe Biden, of course. Biden is pro-immigrant. It was Donald Trump, who understands that lawlessness and chaos at our southern border and unchecked illegal immigration does not foster respect for immigrants. It does just the opposite.
Torres and her Democratic Party colleagues have done a fantastic job of weaponizing immigration. They ignore the sad reality of their lawless system and its dangers for immigrants and citizens. They don’t care because they don’t have to. Instead, the left parrots “nation of immigrants” to justify destroying all the good things that these three words represent while Obama relic and Biden DHS Secretary Alejandro
Mayorkas plays with words and calls the border crisis a “challenge.”10
According to Press Secretary Jen Psaki the Biden administration is placing kids in cages because “there was not enough space in the existing facilities…”11 The solution is to encourage even more illegal immigration and to do whatever it takes to accommodate the foreign nationals Democrats hope will bring them overwhelming power in the years to come.
This policy doesn’t honor the nation of immigrants America rightfully takes pride in. It creates anger, resentment, and even hate made worse by the administration’s policy to overlook illegal immigrant crime. This is a boon to Democrats. They will blame right wing nationalism for the unavoidable pushback.
Democrats will also turn a blind, partisan eye to yesterday’s accident in California that killed 13 people and has illegal immigration and human smuggling written all over it. When the facts are finally confirmed left wing lawmakers will argue that we need to relax our laws even further, if that’s possible, so smuggling immigrants isn’t necessary.
The situation at the border is a win-win for the radical left no matter what happens because there is always someone else to blame. If we blame immigrants we are racist. If we blame Democrats we are Trump-supporting white nationalists. If we ignore our history as a nation of immigrants we are anti-American too, even though the true meaning of “nation of immigrants” is another great thing about America that is gone and forgotten.
UPDATE March 6, 2021:
Great thing about America #10: America’s leader is worthy of admiration and respect
America has had its share of great presidents. Some were Republican. Some were Democrat.
Now we have Joe Biden.
Even Democrats can’t possibly admire the presidential version of Joe Biden. If he ever commanded respect those days are gone. If anything, his party admires the fact that they pulled a fast one on gullible liberal voters by tricking them into believing he was better for America than Donald Trump.
It doesn’t help to hear that Kamala Harris is handling the world leader one-on-ones. Biden’s brief, infrequent public statements are rife with embarrassing gaffes. His executive orders and ridiculously dangerous border policy scream that activists and not American’s president are running the White House.
Jen Psaki promises a press conference at some hazy, undetermined point later this month. When that time comes will anyone have any confidence that the whole thing isn’t a set-up? Will America’s hapless president be standing in front of a roomful of cardboard reporter cutouts with a few people planted in between to ask safe, carefully scripted questions?
No doubt you’ve considered that it might be true that Biden is just a temporary stand-in until Harris takes over. That’s a prospect just as terrifying as the thought of our semi-lucid president going up against the likes of Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and whatever terrorist cleric is in charge of Iran.
America needs a president we can admire. We need a man or woman we can respect. Biden is not this person. He’s present to issues orders written by other people and to sign whatever massive boondoggles Nancy Pelosi slaps down in front of him. That’s a sad testament to just how dangerous our struggle for political power is. More than anything the Biden presidency is proof of how far the Democratic Party is willing to go to control America, even if that means putting a befuddled, barely functioning senior citizen in office so the real powers that be can call the shots in his name.
Only the most deluded, die-hard Democrats will respect and admire America’s 46th president. The rest of us have every reason to fear where Biden and those telling him what to do will lead us.
March 19, 2021: you thought it couldn’t get worse?
Remember the line from The Untouchables about bringing a knife to a gun fight? America’s president just faced off against the Russian bear and brought nothing but an empty threat. Now America looks weak. The world sees pictures of our aged, absent commander-in-chief side-by-side with a much more vital appearing Putin.
No wonder Biden’s handlers don’t let him out of their sight and his own party talks about limiting his nuclear capability. Only 60 days have passed. Everything about this presidency is an unmitigated disaster.
UPDATE March 19, 2021:
Great thing about America #11: transparency from America’s president
Democrats demanded transparency from the White House until January 20, 2021. On that day the door slammed shut. Communications between the White House and the outside world ceased. Now we get Jen Psaki’s speak no evil press conferences and a president we can’t be entirely certain exists. If you see Biden’s image flicker during his press conference next Thursday you will know we have a problem.
This is not what Democrats demanded from Donald Trump. They were so angry about the alleged lack of transparency from one of our most talkative and transparent presidents that they tried to legislate the issue with a Trump Transparency Package:
The four bills would: safeguard our government from foreign influence; call for freedom of the press and media access to the president; require disclosure of the president’s foreign business transactions; and separate the president’s personal financial interests from the duties of the presidency.12
These items would be even more welcome from Joe Biden given his family entanglement with China and his refusal to appear before the press until a historic – for Biden – first press conference on March 25, 2021.
Meanwhile, we don’t know what’s going on at the border except that whatever it is, it’s very bad. Why does the administration refuse to let us see inside the cages in which it is packing illegal immigrant children like so many sardines?
Democrats didn’t tell the American people about the real spending in their COVID rescue bill. Now Biden and President Harris are spreading the same disinformation about this fiscal atrocity that will justify massive tax increases down the road.
The administration refuses to acknowledge that the same things Trump is still attacked for even exist when they come from Biden’s side of the fence. Antifa? Left wing domestic terror? No such animals.
We don’t know who is in charge but we hear rumors that President Harris is communicating with world leaders. The exception is Vladimir Putin, who just embarrassed America yesterday by challenging our president to a debate after Biden publicly attacked him. (see Great Things About America #10.)
There is no democracy and no democratic republic under this administration, either. Without the slightest shard of transparency from the White House we have a liberal oligarchy and calling it that is being polite.
UPDATE March 26, 2021:
Great thing about America #12: Americans face challenges as Americans
On September 16, 2020 Joe Biden said this about America’s COVID-19 response:
This isn’t about politics. It’s about saving lives.13
In his bizarre, meandering March 11, 2021 pandemic address he repeated his hypocrisy about a unified America:
Unity is what we do together as fellow Americans.14
He wasn’t telling the truth.
Equity dictates how America responds to challenges
With Biden at the helm pandemic life and death are doled out by factors that have nothing to do with our shared identity as Americans:
Equity is at the center of the Administration’s COVID-19 response.15
That means skin color is what counts when the administration saves people from COVID:
In the past two months, 60 percent of doses at federally-run Community Vaccination sites were administered to people of color.16
Finally, over 65 percent of the federal doses allocated to Community Health Centers have been administered to people of color.17
Extreme left states know they will get a pat on the back from the White House for the wokeness of their vaccine plans to save people of color from the Democrat Party’s health care system:
Illinois seeks to save lives in a truly equitable manner, recognizing that multi-generational institutional racism has reduced access to care, caused higher rates of environmental and social risk, and increased co-morbidities for people of color.18
This means that healthy 64-year olds not deemed essential workers are denied the COVID vaccine in Illinois until Governor Pritzker is good and ready to save their lives.
Healthy illegal immigrant grocery store workers in their teens can roll up their sleeves.
When the Biden administration rolled out the American Rescue Plan it was clear that our $2 trillion wasn’t going to rescue the American people from a pandemic. It was paying for the radical left’s dream of equity:
Today, President Biden is announcing the American Rescue Plan to change the course of the pandemic, build a bridge towards economic recovery, and invest in racial justice. The American Rescue Plan will address the stark, intergenerational inequities that have worsened in the wake of COVID-19. 19
How much longer before wokeness bans the word “Americans?” It has no value in Biden’s White House. It is inconceivable that our great nation would even consider doling out survival based on ethnicity and special interest value to the Democrat Party.
If Democrats weren’t such lying hypocrites they would at least admit that the failure of health care to serve minority communities is all their doing. Republicans aren’t the ones who passed the Affordable Care Act and they aren’t the ones who divided us when we most needed to face a challenge as the American people.
UPDATE March 28, 2021:
Great thing about America #13: a free press that isn’t owned by the government
Thomas Jefferson said that our liberty depends on the freedom of the press. He couldn’t possibly have imagined what a mess we made of his vision for America’s government and a press that isn’t a front for one of our political parties. Our free press is a lot closer to state-sponsored media than anyone involved in the sham of covering the Biden presidency will admit.
If you don’t count the American people the press is perhaps the biggest casualty of the 2020 election. Left-wing media outlets got what they wanted. Throughout the campaign they pandered to Biden, demonized Trump, and refused to deliver any semblance of fair or objective reporting. Now that Joe’s in office it’s even worse than we feared. Is there a difference between a state-sponsored media and a press that throws credibility to the wind in support of a political agenda?
Biden’s performance during his first press conference on Thursday was sad to be sure, but it was just another example of what we’ve come to expect. Consider this scintillating question when he arrived in Wilmington, Delaware on Friday:
What does it mean to have Baby Beau on the plane with you, on Air Force One?
THE PRESIDENT: (Laughs.) It’s really great. 20
Everything is really great for this administration. Transparency is absent. Anything negative is denied, ignored, lied about, or stonewalled by Jen Psaki. The president doesn’t have to worry that he might be put on the spot in a public appearance. It will never happen.
As bad as it is now this farce is only going to get worse as midterms approach and another presidential election beckons. Biden and the Democrat Party know they can trust the press to deliver their message to voters. They know dissenting voices will be quashed or censored. Big tech will reliably step in and cancel anyone who slips through the media’s net.
For a president having the press in your pocket is as good as it gets. For the people who really care about this nation a free and reliable press is another great thing about America we’ve already kissed goodbye.
UPDATE April 4, 2021:
Great thing about America #14: We don’t use children. We protect them.
By now you have seen the video of two little girls being dropped over the border wall. During an April 1, 2021 press conference Jen Psaki was asked about the incident and whether “beefing up border security” would be a good idea. She gave her typically neutral response:
As Secretary Mayorkas said, “The inhumane way smugglers abuse children while profiting off parents’ desperation is criminal and morally reprehensible.” The President certainly agrees with that. And these kids, I believe, were rescued from — by individuals who are working at the border.21
When pressed Psaki became typically combative:
And are you concerned more about the kids safety or are you concerned about kids getting in?22
And then she contradicted everything about unspoken White House policy:
But I will say that our concern and our focus is on sending a clear message to smuggler — to the region that this is not the time to come. You should not send your kids on this treacherous journey. That these smugglers are preying on vulnerabilities in these communities.23
So will Joe let the smugglers and human traffickers know when the time is right? Seems like they got his message too early.
It’s too late to stop what Biden administration policy created, of course. The president and congressional Democrats had a choice between protecting vulnerable children and summoning as many Mexico and Central American citizens to the U.S. as possible. Their cynical decision puts vulnerable children in tremendous peril, but party comes first. Too bad, kids.
We hear anecdotal accounts of sexual assault and other atrocities on the journey to the promised land. All we get from Democrats is deer-in-the-headlights disavowal:
Those blaming the Biden Administration for this situation are not serious about addressing the issues at the border.24
That was from House Border Subcommittee Chairwoman Nanette Diaz Barragan (D-CA). A month before the incident Barragan decried Trump administration policy:
For example, the Remain in Mexico policy has created a refugee crisis on our border and attracted human traffickers and violent criminals to our doorstep. It has led to horrific circumstances for migrants trying to reach this country – including robbery, assault, kidnapping, and even death.25
So what changed? Democrats and their president are the ones responsible for robbery, assault, kidnapping, and death so the policy is deny, deny, deny.
Meanwhile vulnerable children will continue to travel to America because they got Joe Biden’s message loud and clear. Democrats will continue to blame Trump while the numbers explode, children are harmed, and party bigwigs rub their hands together waiting for the next generation of voters to arrive.
There was a time when America protected children. Now we have a president who uses them in the worst way imaginable. Three and five-year olds won’t be eligible to vote for many years, but if they get their voting-age parents here at least what happens to them serves a valuable purpose.
UPDATE April 5, 2021:
Great thing about America #15: honesty
A Pew Research poll reports that 96% of Americans believe our political leaders should be honest. In fact, 52% said honesty is “absolutely essential.”26
The fact that honesty matters to Americans doesn’t mean it matters to our leaders. This is more apparent than ever now that Joe Biden’s White House has imposed a transparency blackout. Is no information instead of the truth what American democracy is all about? How about disinformation?
Biden told us that his American Rescue Plan was an:
Emergency Legislative Package to Fund Vaccinations, Provide Immediate, Direct Relief to Families Bearing the Brunt of the COVID-19 Crisis, and Support Struggling Communities.27
He didn’t try to promote the rest of the story:
The American Rescue Plan is filled with unnecessary pork and provides $12 billion in foreign aid, $15 billion for illegal immigrant-eligible health care, $350 billion to bail out blue states, $50 million for Planned Parenthood, $1.5 billion for Amtrak and $21,000 for federal employees to stay home.28
The list goes on and on, but at least we can give Biden credit for admitting that the bill exists.
This isn’t the case with developments at the border and the administration’s crisis/no crisis charade. In a letter to the president Texas Senator Ted Cruz declared:
Denying the press the ability to observe, film, and report on the conditions at the border is not openness or transparency-it is hiding the truth from the American people. The press and the American people deserve more than denials and excuses from a podium.29
The National Review reports that when GOP senators visited the border a Biden administration official asked them to delete pictures documenting the conditions they witnessed at government facilities.30
That’s not honesty and it certainly isn’t transparency. Instead, we get semi-coherence from America’s president:
And so what we’re doing now is attempting to rebuild — rebuild the system that can accommodate the — what is happening today. And I like to think it’s because I’m a nice guy, but it’s not. It’s because of what’s happened every year.31
What is they say about a picture and 1,000 words? There is nothing more honest than what’s in front of your face.
Now it’s time for Biden to push what he’s calling a jobs bill. The jumble of Democrat Party priorities in the White House fact sheet covers too much rhetorical territory to be credible:
Like great projects of the past, the President’s plan will unify and mobilize the country to meet the great challenges of our time: the climate crisis and the ambitions of an autocratic China. It will invest in Americans and deliver the jobs and opportunities they deserve. But unlike past major investments, the plan prioritizes addressing long-standing and persistent racial injustice.32
Like the American Rescue Plan and its non-COVID spending we have to ask what this bill is really about. The beginning of AOC’s Green New Deal? Reparations in disguise? American’s transition to socialism? A crafty way for Democrats to collect lots of spending money to stash away for later like the unspent tax dollars from their earlier pandemic spending bill? Whatever the answer is, don’t expect any honesty or transparency from Biden or the Democrat Party until the deed is done.
Honesty has a moral and ethical component that we have no reason to expect from this White House. Stealing credit is more in line with the Biden administration’s ethical bankruptcy:
The President launched a new, comprehensive strategy to beat this pandemic on January 21, 2021. In the subsequent 7 weeks, we’ve delivered over 81 million vaccinations to Americans — today, more people are once again able to visit their loved ones.33
Those vaccinations weren’t developed on Biden’s watch any more than Kamala Harris comment that they were “starting from scratch” is true or even credible. Are we being too hard on the president? Perhaps he got confused and thought Operation Warp Speed was a Star Trek reference.
UPDATE April 9, 2021:
Great thing about America #16: confidence in our government
It’s no longer a matter of being ashamed or embarrassed over the choice Americans made. We’ve had Democrats in the White House before. We even survived Jimmy Carter.
This is an abject disaster.
If I was conspiracy-obsessed I would be absolutely convinced that these terrible few months are the lead up to swapping Joe Biden for the woman he calls President Harris.
It’s not just the lies. We expect that. This is government, not church. It’s not even the stumbling and bumbling and mental confusion. We are plagued with an administration that is based on lies and blatantly dangerous, anti-American policies that are not only supported, but promoted by lawmakers in the president’s party.
You can’t have an America with no confidence in its government, especially when our competitors are trying to knock us down to advance their own objectives. That’s why we have every reason to be concerned and yes, angry when we hear Joe Biden toss out statements we all know are simply not true:
But you go to a gun show, you can buy whatever you want and no background check.34
The lie isn’t the problem. It’s that Biden used this lie in furtherance of his belief that “no amendment to the Constitution is absolute.”35
If the Constitution doesn’t matter, what does?
What governs the actions of the president and Congress if the Constitution is not absolute and instead something to circumvent to suit partisan objectives based on half-truths, disinformation, and outright lies?
Absolutely nothing. This is why defending America’s sovereignty is no longer important. It’s the reason we abuse children by packing them into holding cells at the border. This stands behind the push to allow anyone to vote who requests a ballot. It’s why the rule of law is tossed aside in favor of decarceration and eliminating cash bond for criminals.
During the campaign Biden promised to hold China accountable for the coronavirus pandemic. When he took office he swore to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. He’s done nothing while the virus continues to murder Americans. Instead, new Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm waved China in our face yesterday as a paragon of a green energy economy we should emulate:
When I — after I was finished being governor, I traveled to China to see their clean energy efforts. It was with a group. And we went to a city, and I was standing next to the mayor of the city in China, and during a demonstration, he leaned over to me and he said, “So when do you think the United States is going to get a clean energy plan?”36
Her response:
It’s difficult in Congress to get consensus.37
That’s because America isn’t run by a central communist party, though it’s beginning to feel that way as Biden signs order after order and Congress passes outrageous, socialist spending plans that extend government control over every aspect of our lives.
It feels like America is in free fall. It’s getting worse every day. We can have no confidence in our president or House of Representatives and the Senate is hanging on by a thread.
UPDATE April 11, 2021:
Great thing about America #17: Americans are really smart people
Democrat politicians in the clutches of public sector unions like to tell us we’re falling behind the rest of the world. They ignore the simple truth that stupid, undereducated people still managed to create a booming economy and job market during the Trump years.
Now we’re stupid again. Our IQs dropped on January 20, 2021. We need unions to employ us and make sure we aren’t taken advantage of. Worse yet, we are talked down and lied to by a White House that treats us like fools.
We have no reason to expect honesty from this administration (see Great Thing about America #15), but the White House has adopted such a blatantly condescending style that we can’t take anything we hear seriously. The nonsense handed down from this administration ranges from hysterical to terrifying, but almost none of it makes any sense when you think about what’s being said.
Need an example? These are from Friday, April 9, 2021.
On the departure of Ambassador Roberta Jacobson from her Southwest Border duties, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan praised our “safe, secure, and just approach to our Southwest Border.”37 He offered this:
President Biden has asked Vice President Kamala Harris to lead the Administration’s work on our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle, a testament to the importance this administration places on improving conditions in the region.38
I won’t insult you by pointing out how many things are wrong with that statement. We’ll let Biden’s policies for immigration Armageddon, his willingness to spread our tax dollars to corrupt Central American governments, and Kamala Harris’ disappearing border act speak for themselves.
So why does Sullivan take us for fools? Because that’s how Democrats view the American people. Remember, these are the politicians who don’t believe people of color are smart enough to obtain IDs so they can cash a check, drive a car, or buy a beer.
Even the climate-savvy are stupid in the Bidenverse. This bit of condescending nonsense came from Transportation Boss Pete Buttigieg:
Americans are spending too much of their money on transportation in the wrong ways or don’t have access to it at all.39
We are not supposed to notice or care how Democrats spend too much of our money on Democrats. That includes financing their political campaigns with H.R. 1, handing tax dollars to illegal immigrants in New York City, or propping up states like Illinois that couldn’t find its way out of a fiscal paper bag to save itself.
Apparently we’re also too dumb to figure out that the $2 trillion Buttigieg is talking about is also going to be forked over by taxpayer who will ultimately bear the brunt of the American Jobs Plans’ corporate tax hike.
So Americans are stupid and that includes you and me. The fact that our economy was exploding with growth and jobs before the coronavirus struck is completely lost on hacks like Mayor Pete who boast “the biggest investment in American jobs since World War Two”40 while Biden ignores the role of China in damaging our economy and prefers to back Democrats paying for their personal favorites under the misnomer of rescuing the nation.
Friday was a very busy day for the White House. The president had this to say after his weekly economic update and announcement of spending increases that include funding for the Violence Against Women Act:
And so, out there, we’re — we want to make sure we go through this backlog and find out, to bring some — some certitude to — for the woman who is saying, “No, no, it was true. That’s the man. He did it.” And it changes the whole perspective — all the hearings we held on that.
And also there — it makes major investments in the fight against climate change.41
Let’s leave it at that, shall we?
UPDATE April 16, 2021:
Great thing about America #18: fairness is not about whiteness
President Biden made a shocking statement yesterday on behalf of the House approval of the Paycheck Fairness Act. I can’t imagine he wrote it. Even at his most befuddled America’s president should be far above this kind of overt racial pot-stirring.
This is what our leader and alleged moral arbiter had to say about America’s gender pay gap:
For AAPI women, it’s 87 cents for every dollar a white man earns. For Black women, it’s 63 cents. For Native American women, it’s 60 cents. And for Hispanic women, it’s 55 cents. Those gaps are an affront to our values as a nation — they are unacceptable to me, and they should be unacceptable to every single American.42
So to be clear, the issue isn’t really about the pay gap between men and women. It’s about advantaged white men making more than women of other races. That’s a reprehensible comparison, but I’ll cut him a little slack because there is probably a statistical reason. When you write this sort of liberal agenda piece you want to make things look as bad as possible. Adding black or brown men might lower the wage gap and make it look better than the White House desires. Adding Asian men – who make more than white men – would be racist and besides, white men are America’s pariahs. Why miss an opportunity?
So privileged white men it is. Our unity-minded president just gave America another reason to despise millions of our friends and neighbors.
If only America had a leader capable of moderating the radical left talking points that someone is shoving in front of him. Instead, we have a talking head that mouths agenda-laden words written by persons unknown. This is why the White House can’t even make a statement about the Equal Pay Act without stirring the race pot and then falling back on two values we know the left has zero respect for:
Equal pay is about justice, fairness, and who we are as a nation — it makes all of us stronger, and it represents what America is truly about.43
No, Joe. Pillorying white men for political gain is not what America is truly about. It’s what your party is truly about.
UPDATE April 19, 2021:
Great thing about America #19: hope for America’s future
We took the truism that America will keep getting better for granted. There were warnings that this was not the case. The Trump slogan “Make America Great Again” induced such anger and hate in the left that people who wore hats and T-shirts displaying these hopeful words were confronted and even attacked in public.
Instead of hope for the future the left is openly inspiring rebellion with the premise that America is a bad place and always has been. What should we make of prominent lawmaker Maxine Waters (D-CA) openly demanding confrontation in a city already racked by riots and looting and primed for more violence as a highly politicized police shooting trial draws to a close?
This isn’t the hope for unity that Joe Biden promised us, which brings us to another question:
Will the real President Biden please stand up?
This is a time when America looks to its president for hope. The problem is we don’t know who is in charge. Is it Kamala Harris? Harris and House Speaker Pelosi? Unseen and unnamed White House aides who scribble the nonsensical and even false words uttered by our national figurehead?
If there is any hope in these words, I can’t find it. They don’t even make sense:
And also, you know, with Daunte Wright in Minnesota — that God-awful shooting resulting in his death, and — and in the midst of an ongoing trial over the killing of George Floyd. And Lord only knows what’s happened based on what the verdict will or will not be there.44
What was Biden trying to say? Does it even matter? Americans don’t have a leader we can identify. If Biden really is the acting president we’re in trouble. More likely our country is run by a loose collection of left-wing ideologues guided by identity politics and a handful of far left extremists whose radical views threaten to tear apart everything that makes America great.
This can be a dangerous thing when we confront world leaders who are at the top of their game and know weakness when they hear it.
Well over half a million COVID deaths in the U.S. and three million worldwide are not enough for the White House to hold China accountable. Instead, Biden resorted to his party’s Russian election interference narrative and picked a fight with Vladimir Putin. The president’s remarks as he expelled Russian diplomats from the U.S. were at times confused:
And I told him: If it turned out that the invest- — as I thought — that there was engagement in our elections, that I would — that I’d respond.45
Nevertheless, much like his promise to unify America he promised that inciting conflict is not about conflict:
The United States is not looking to kick off a cycle of ecs- — of escalation and conflict with Russia. We want a stable, predictable relationship.46
In fact:
Now is the time to de-escalate.47
Did Putin get the message? Of course he did. America has no leader. That means great hope for his struggling country and vanishing hope for America’s future.

Thanks for your thoughts, Tim. I should add Biden’s escalating war of words with Russia while China goes scot-free. Democrats were eager to hang U.S. COVID deaths on Trump, but China? Crickets. You are exactly right about the U.S. We can give the president’s illegals credit for one thing: they have appreciation for American greatness sorely lacking in the people letting them in.
Excellent article, this is exactly what is going on in Biden Administration. He is looting America, so many folks have paid the highest price for this “great” country. America is not racist, unless your the Democratic Party. America is not in distress or violent unless you live in a Democratic controlled city. The United States ?? of America is the best country on the planet earth. If the USA is such a awful place as the Democrats paint.it to be, then why are we the envy of the world? Why are people flooding the southern border to come to the ?? USA.
