UPDATE October 3, 2022:
Politicizing disaster with the most un-American of values is quintessential Biden administration politics.
In better times with leaders worthy of respect when Americans faced disaster we were all one and the same. Skin color, religion, ethnicity, and income didn’t matter. These differences became petty and meaningless. We were Americans first and foremost.
Thanks to Joe Biden we are not Americans first. The White House value hierarchy includes black people, brown people, native Americans, Asian people, and LGBTQ-whatever people. Coming in dead last are conservatives and especially white, Trump-supporting conservatives who are national pariahs worthy of denunciation and little else.
It didn’t take long for the Biden administration to summon the specter of left-wing equity for Floridians whose lives were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Ian. Just three days after the hurricane struck, Vice President Kamala Harris politicized the catastrophe by suggesting that equity should be a consideration for disaster relief.
Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claims we didn’t understand:
So that is not what the Vice President said. The Vice President was clearly talking about long-term investment, not FEMA aid, for hurricane response efforts.561
The outcry after Harris’ comments indicates otherwise. This is why we need competent leaders whose every word doesn’t need to be walked back by White House damage control staff.
Considering what Americans devastated by this hurricane are up against, introducing race to politicize the tragedy before damage has even been assessed is especially hurtful. Is this Harris’ fault, or is she a hapless victim of Biden White House confusion over what this administration stands for?
Equality and equity are not the same thing. Equality is an American value. Equity is a racial liberal dog whistle. You can’t have both at the same time, though Harris mentioned both in her comments and Biden did the same during yesterday’s speech to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation:
And together with this caucus, we place equality, equity, and justice at the center of our work.562
Biden has never been shy about revealing which of the two he values. It’s not equality. Race is paramount when he lists his accomplishments:
The first — not only the first Black Vice President, but the first member of the — Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America. (Applause.) Think about that. Think about that.563
There is nothing to think about. We get it. Whether you are currying favor or seeking to divide, race is a hot button and easy tool for manipulating people. You can even use it to denounce and take credit in the same breath:
And for those who want to bury our history, we made Juneteenth the first [new] federal holiday in 30 years so they remember. We never forget. (Applause.)564
What Harris said is on the record. No one should be in the least bit surprised. Racial equity stands at the forefront of Biden administration values. Equality argues that everyone impacted by the hurricane be treated as Americans in need first, but that’s not what Harris said. Jean-Pierre can try to walk the remarks back and even excuse the atrocious timing, but this is emblematic of the difficulties the Biden White House has communicating with the American people. Perhaps the problem is trying too hard to be something the president and his second in command clearly are not. Like equity and equality, they can’t have it both ways.
UPDATE October 5, 2022:
Biden gets a big boost to help him prove America is weak, foolish, and anything but great.
Not too many presidents get the kind of opportunity OPEC just handed to Joe Biden. Proving to the world that America is weak and foolish is a big job. After all, he was saddled with the most powerful nation and economy on earth when he took office. His mission to destroy everything great about America seemed almost impossible, considering how much he had to start with.
Fortunately for the White House Biden not only proved he is up to the task, now he’s even getting Arab oil producers to offer a helping hand. He might think that no f***s with a Biden, but OPEC just did and there’s nothing he can do about it except look weaker and more foolish than he already does.
The White House knew the perfect response to the news that OPEC plans to slash oil production despite America’s president showing up at their door last July with his hand out:
The President is disappointed by the shortsighted decision by OPEC+ to cut production quotas while the global economy is dealing with the continued negative impact of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.565
If he’s disappointed, it’s only because he fears what this might mean for his party’s sinking midterm prospects. Aside from that, this is another great reason to drain our Strategic Petroleum Reserve dry so radical left climate extremists can applaud another big step to complete energy dependence.
Just a few months ago, Vladimir Putin was in charge of Biden’s price at the pump. Now it’s OPEC:
In light of today’s action, the Biden Administration will also consult with Congress on additional tools and authorities to reduce OPEC’s control over energy prices.566
If America has control over our energy prices that would entail a degree of strength, economic might, and independence that Biden has worked tooth and nail to overcome. Whatever you might say about our president, he can never be accused of sleeping on the job when it comes to ensuring our weakness, dependence, and most important, fall from greatness. Have faith. No matter what happens, Joe Biden will find a way to make sure we come out of it even worse than we went in.
UPDATE October 6, 2022:
Biden destroyed our immigration system and with it any chance for that DACA path to citizenship.
DACA isn’t President Biden’s fault. It’s the fault of Barack Obama, who gets credit for the executive order in lieu of congressional action that created this amnesty scheme that just won’t die.
Yesterday’s federal appeals court decision declaring DACA unlawful gave Biden another opportunity to duck the real problem and instead use his two favorite words, extreme and MAGA:
My Administration is committed to defending Dreamers against attacks from Republican officials in Texas and other States. This challenge to DACA is just another example of the extreme agenda being pushed by MAGA-Republican officials.567
Shall we reword what he said to make it true?
This challenge to DACA is just another example of pushback against the Biden administration’s extreme, open border immigration agenda that is promoted and protected by radical left Democrat politicians who could care less about the consequences of unrestricted illegal immigration.
We can’t blame Biden for DACA, but Dreamers can blame him for creating an immigration catastrophe so monstrous that eventual pushback against illegals in general is all but guaranteed.
DACA recipients are an irrelevant distraction at best when you consider how many illegals enter the U.S. every day on Biden’s watch. With so many in this country and so many more on the way, the president should choose his words more carefully:
And while we will use the tools we have to allow Dreamers to live and work in the only country they know as home, it is long past time for Congress to pass permanent protections for Dreamers, including a pathway to citizenship.568
He’s right. So much time has passed that it’s too late. Joe Biden made a mockery of our immigration laws. If Congress passes a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers the flood of migrants at the border will be even more overwhelming than it is now and worse, the millions of illegals who are here and have been welcomed in since Biden took office will want the very same thing instead of the legal remedy they earned: deportation.
This is a scary numbers game when you think about what happened in the summer of 2020 and how eager Democrats were to fan the flames of violent unrest. Don’t think for a moment that politically-fueled immigration riots are something that can’t happen.
Dreamers are trapped by the mess Biden willfully created. You can rest assured that in lieu of a massive Democrat takeover of Congress it will be a very long time before citizenship is on the table for anyone that is in our country illegally, including DACA Dreamers. Republicans have a massive cleanup to deal with first and then we can sort out what’s left and decide what to do about it.
UPDATE October 8, 2022:
When Biden is finished destroying America we will welcome Armageddon.
How many times have you heard someone say that if Republicans don’t win in November, it’s over for America? That seems to be the prevailing attitude among many conservatives, myself included. President Biden has worked in perfect harmony with Democrats to destroy everything great about America from energy independence to being able to walk city streets safely to the basic freedoms that define us, like the right to speak our minds without fear of attracting government attention.
Leave it to Jackass Joe to threaten Americans and the world with Armageddon because his historic weakness as a leader relegates nuclear deterrence to the trash pile. Strength brings peace. Senility, confusion, and weakness brings catastrophe and now, despite Obama’s warning about Joe’s ability to f*** things up, we have a president who is telling us we are on the brink.
Americans know too well that no statement Biden makes has any validity until it is vetted by persons unknown after it’s too late. The safest bet is to listen and then wait 24 hours to see if the White House corrects what the leader of the free world just said. It’s shameful, embarrassing, and dangerous, and now our commander in chief tells us that the survival of the planet is at risk from the worst kind of climate change imaginable.
America was just embarrassed by OPEC because our president cares less about ensuring our strength than pandering on his knees to the radical left activists who helped put him in office. This travesty of leadership shows Putin a weak, incompetent, cognitively impaired sycophant who will say anything and do anything to please ideologues who hate our country. Does anyone believe that Russia’s leader takes anything Biden says seriously and more important, that it will make him reconsider whatever he might be planning for Ukraine, including using a tactical nuclear weapon?
Living in Biden’s America is like dying from cancer.
If you have ever watched a loved one die from a slow, painful terminal illness, that’s what Biden’s America feels like. Day after day he’s killing our country and everything that makes it great and there is nothing we can do to stop it.
Armageddon is bad news to be sure, but when Biden is finished destroying our country will a nuclear conflagration matter, or will it be welcome euthanasia for those of us who remember the great America that was?
America doesn’t have a border. Do we even exist as a country?
The president assures us that the involvement of billions of taxpayer dollars in an overseas war that his weakness helped accelerate is all about protecting Ukraine’s sovereignty:
The United States of America is committed to supporting the people of Ukraine as they continue the fight to defend their sovereignty.569
When Americans demand that Biden defend our own sovereignty we are labeled racists, xenophobes, and the worst thing we can possibly be, MAGA Republicans.
Biden may be committed to Ukraine’s independence, but America is no longer a sovereign nation. Sovereign nations have borders. America does not. Our door is wide open to people from all over the world who are streaming in with their hands out if we’re lucky, and their guns and knives out if we are not.
Guns and knives are a big problem. Not only are citizens taking advantage of Democrat leadership and liberal law enforcement policies, last week brought us murders in Las Vegas at the hands of an illegal to add to the blood on Biden’s hands as a result of his open border, fentanyl free zone.
If we don’t have a country and it’s not safe to leave our houses, what’s left? Those of us who scrimped and saved and invested our hard-earned money to ensure a livable retirement are watching our efforts evaporate as prices go up and the stock market responds to the cumulative impact of inflationary policies that seek to transition us from energy independent, free market capitalism to Green New Deal socialism.
Not everyone is content with radical left Democrats deciding how much we need to live on and how much the government should control our lives to reduce America’s standard of living and free up more of our income for taxes, but that’s where this is headed.
If you are pinning your hopes on surviving the Biden presidency and a next generation that will make better decisions than the voters who put this destructive left-wing ideologue in the Oval Office, think harder. Our children are in the clutches of union controlled public education that teaches genitalia are irrelevant and can be fixed, that advocates exposing children to freakish drag queens and aberrant sex, and indoctrinates kids with the left’s belief that America is a racist nation with a history we should spend the rest of our lives atoning for financially and otherwise with no end in sight.
What will Biden’s Armageddon do for you?
The few who survive a nuclear holocaust will face nuclear winter. That should quickly fix the global warming problem. We’re already threatened with blackouts, brownouts, failing power grids, crop shortages, and electric cars that explode and can’t be charged without power, so a nuclear war should fast track what the left’s agenda seeks.
This means Armageddon could be a good thing for Biden and the Democrat Party except for one tiny detail. The president and his cronies who hastened the end of the world will live on in their protected bunker, but who will vote for Democrats in the next election if the rest of America is dead?
More important, who will be left for Democrats to tax?
UPDATE October 10, 2022:
Harris calls for immigrant justice during Texas speech but ignores justice for Americans denied a sovereign border.
In a classic, cringe-worthy Kamala Harris moment, the vice president adopted her take on the local vernacular during an address to Texas Democrats:
We made the largest investment to address the climate crisis in history — (applause) — because of what y’all did in 2020.570
That was bad, but apparently not enough for Harris:
And speaking of the system of justice, we are also changing — y’all might have heard that this week — the federal government’s approach to marijuana.571
Considering she was in Texas it’s surprising that the vice president never mentioned another drug, the fentanyl coming across the Biden-Harris Open Border. In fact, she didn’t even mention the border she is supposed to be in charge of. Instead, Harris stood up for DACA amnesty:
We are fighting for immigration reform and will continue to defend DACA and stand with DREAMers because America is their home. (Applause.)572
She also called for justice, but not for the Americans Biden and Harris have denied a sovereign border with Mexico:
If you believe immigrant justice is fundamental to America, vote for Democrats.573
At least this was a true statement. Democrats will ensure the Biden administration’s flow of illegals, dangerous criminals, and fentanyl into America continues uninterrupted. This must be why Harris had to go all the way to Alaska for an example of a place where her party is allegedly ahead for the midterms:
And think about Alaska. Democrats are winning, in places like Alaska, momentum.574
No doubt the White House would prefer we think about Alaska. No such luck. We’re well aware of what they have done to our borderless country and on November 8 we’re going to let them know how we feel about it.
