Biden and Harris’ deception about 11 new clemency cases define a year of unjust justice from a system Americans can no longer trust
Manufactured political crimes defined the year in justice. It seemed like the entirety of our judicial system at every level of government focused on making sure Donald Trump could not compete against Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
The rhetoric to take Trump out of the race was so desperate that according to FoxNews an MSNBC talking head insisted the former president should die in prison,1083 as if liberal calls to incarcerate him for as many years as possible would not be enough to get the job done.
Meanwhile, offenders on the other side of our widening partisan political chasm enjoyed judicial laxity as they rode the coattails of Summer of Love forgiveness doled out to arsonists,1084 blue city criminals, illegal immigrants, and others deemed victims of an unjust system.
Most fortunate of all was Hunter Biden, the poster child for the unfair protections of power and privilege. He finally became too weighty a liability for the White House to protect and his dad to gaslight Americans about, or at least that’s what we can intuit from the charges finally brought against him after the judicial system looked the other way for years.
Whatever Hunter did or didn’t do, Biden’s claims of ignorance about his son’s business activities are emblematic of how hard it is to believe anything he says. The president’s constant lying addresses a variety of White House needs. Some of the lies are annoying but harmless, like his “Joey, baby” Amtrak story or the kitchen fire that turns into a massive conflagration in the retelling.
Other classic Biden tall tales like the 17,000 miles spent with Xi Jinping have more sinister implications:
I was once asked by Xi Jinping in China — (inaudible) a lot of — spent a lot of time with him, traveled 17,000 miles with him. He said, “Can you define America for me?” I said, “I can in one word, and I mean it: possibilities.” (Applause.)
Anything is possible in this country if we do it together, and we’re going to start that now. And the Pacific is the place to start it.1085
Whether these possibilities stem from CCP money is now the focus of a House impeachment inquiry despite ample presidential protection from the Department of Justice and Biden’s insistence that the evidence amassed by James Comer (R-KY) is all lies.
I have no doubt the president believes this. His views on the privileges of political office and justice in general are radically different from what most Americans accept as fair and equal. For Joe Biden, smoke and mirrors politics is the arbiter of right and wrong, which brings us to the eleven clemency cases announced just before Christmas.
Biden, Harris celebrate ending historic marijuana injustices
To cap off a year of abusing the rule of law and weaponizing our justice agencies and courts for partisan political persecution, the vice president characterized eleven year-end clemency cases as “historic inequities and racial disparities in federal drug policy and sentencing” while promoting the administration’s sweeping federal marijuana possession pardons:
And yet, for too long, far too many people in our country—in particular, people of color—have been denied that fundamental right because of unfair and inequitable drug policies that do not make our communities safer.1086
She transitioned to the Christmas commutations:
Today, President Biden also commuted the sentences of 11 Americans serving time for non-violent drug offenses—individuals who would likely have received shorter sentences for the same crimes today. At this point in our term, he has exercised his clemency power more than any other recent predecessor.1087
Harris insisted:
We must continue to change our nation’s approach to marijuana and reform the criminal justice system. As I have declared many times before, no one should be in prison simply for smoking weed.1088
Biden also announced the clemency cases and praised his cannabis possession pardons:
Just as no one should be in a federal prison solely due to the use or possession of marijuana, no one should be in a local jail or state prison for that reason, either.1089
Neither Biden nor Harris mentioned what the 11 offenders did to land in prison. Are we supposed to assume they were jailed for possessing pot?
This is what the Biden clemency recipients were really in prison for
Biden and Harris did not mention cocaine or methamphetamine in their remarks about the White House pardons, which is deceptive considering these are the drugs the eleven individuals enjoying Biden’s grant of clemency were in prison for and none of the charges were for simple possession. In fact, all were charged with distribution and four of the eleven for amounts greater than five kilos (11 pounds) of cocaine.1090
There may be perfectly good reasons to forgive these offenders. They may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time or deserving of clemency for reasons beyond the scope of a White House pat on the back press release. That doesn’t let Biden and Harris off the hook for leaving the impression that racism and marijuana had something to do with the president’s magnanimity. It did not.
Harris wrapped up her statements with one of 2023’s biggest lies:
Every American has a fundamental right to equal justice under law.1091
Unequal justice is a privilege, not a right
It’s true that every American who fills an identity politics bucket or is a member of the Biden family has the privilege of unequal or even suspended justice. Assuming the White House and Democrat Party still agree that Donald Trump is an American (and we should assume someone in the background is probably trying to revoke his citizenship in case Democrats can’t jail him), he most certainly has been denied his right to fairness and equal justice starting with the federal raid on Mar-a-Lago carried out while Biden’s classified documents collected dust.
Instead of being the Republican frontrunner challenging Joe Biden for the White House, would Trump have fared better as a heavyweight cocaine dealer and especially one of color? I’ll leave that up to you to decide. Considering demands from the left that he be locked up until the end of time, my guess is yes.

As expected, Biden and the Democrats basked in an orgy of Trump doomsaying leading up to the January 6th “insurrection” anniversary. There are few dates on the left’s calendar that can compete. Even the mass shootings* the president commemorates without fail pale in comparison to an event he insists came perilously close to extinguishing the fire of American democracy once and for all.
Biden sounded suspiciously lucid on Friday as he luxuriated in the opportunity to spread his trademark hate and fear with the only talking point that is not a liability for his reelection campaign. There are simpletons aplenty who listen to the J6 hype and desperately need to believe this hyperbolic nonsense. They gulp the left’s insurrection Kool-Aid and the president’s Big, Fat Lie about Donald Trump’s plans to destroy our country while pinning the blame for their deteriorating lives on anything but the obvious: Biden’s dangerous determination to trade American greatness for progressive political decimation of everything that makes us the greatest nation on the planet.
Biden’s party defiles his sacred cause
The president refers to democracy as America’s “sacred cause.”1092 States determined to keep Trump off their primary election ballots are actively defiling that cause and yet Biden warns that it’s the former president who will launch an “assault on democracy.”1093 This ridiculous lie distracts from his autocratic policy agenda that includes disregarding the First Amendment, weaponizing federal agencies against Biden’s political opponents, undermining a booming economy to suit the needs of progressive energy crackpots, demonstrating historic weakness on the international stage and worst of all, opening America to a massive foreign invasion.
The truth is something we seldom, if ever hear from this lying, demented fraud of a president who gleefully resurrects a two-year old riot because Trump and his Make America Great agenda are the greatest threats to progressive hegemony and what is already certain to be a legacy of historic disaster.
It’s easy to push the fiction that America’s democracy was almost destroyed to left wing radicals, activists, and their adherents who have no faith in the strength and durability of our great nation and firmly believe we can be destroyed by a single, isolated incident. This should raise alarms about what would happen in the event of a real threat to our government like a natural disaster or the terrorist attack Biden is inviting with his open border. Remember, this is a White House that apparently didn’t know that our secretary of defense was hospitalized and proved incapable of dealing with the threat of a spy balloon from China until the CCP accomplished it’s mission.
Our open border and Biden’s illegal immigrant invasion are genuine threats to America.
Revoking our sovereignty, endangering our national security and the safety of Americans, destroying our unique national identity, disregarding the rule of law, effectively denying there is such a thing as “immigration,” and dumping the cost on hapless taxpayers testifies to how little Biden cares about our nation and people. His wealth and affluent, vacation-centric lifestyle are not impacted by what he’s done and never will be. In the absence of loyalty to America, our founding principles and people, he simply doesn’t care. Power for himself in the near term and Democrats as soon as they can find a way to turn illegals into voters are the goals that matter.
The J6 Insurrection is just a memory the Biden campaign cherishes for its admittedly historic propaganda value.
The Biden administration’s invasion of America is a genuine, growing threat and by far the best example of this president’s determination to destroy America as we know it to advance the power of those who don’t care about anything they don’t directly benefit from.

You are absolutely right, Sherri. Biden’s domestic policy disasters were bad enough, but now we have to worry about nuclear war for the first time in how many decades? We went from strong leadership to no leadership. Biden’s threats are hollow and meaningless and our adversaries know it. God only knows what he’ll come up with in Europe this week. That’s a perplexing question, Stephen. If the left is sincere about climate change a nuclear war isn’t going to solve their problem, but it seems that’s the direction the administration has chosen even if Biden doesn’t realize it.
As you point out, it seems the endgame really is to break our country socially, morally, and economically. As long as Democrats stay entrenched in power – and I don’t believe the midterms are secure or a slam dunk by any means – the damage won’t impact them. They will get richer and more powerful while the American people’s lives are decimated. After a time the people will thank the government for anything it permits, anything it offers, anything it lets us keep for ourselves. If history has a precedent, it’s every country that decided a socialist economy and authoritarian government was a good idea.

Desperate people will accept whatever they are offered. When people can’t afford to leave their homes to work, find empty shelves at the grocery store, and are left sweating in the summer heat because of rolling blackouts, they will accept any relief the government offers because they don’t have a choice. Nothing that is hurting us is by accident.

I’m not sure which allegations you are referring to, Gilbert, but Russian collusion was a Clinton campaign hoax and the Ukraine phone call charges didn’t pan out, either. The Hunter Biden issue is completely different. There is alleged hard evidence on a laptop in the FBI’s possession that was covered up by the media before the 2020 Election. Worse, the president’s statement that he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings have proved false. That’s the difference.

I can agree to that, Kevin and yes, politics has turned into an us vs. them argument. When Biden accused Republicans of semi-fascism he emphasized the battle lines and now, a year later we have four indictments against Trump to prevent him from running instead of letting voters make the decision at the ballot box.
I would never argue that Trump was a perfect president or the perfect conservatoire candidate, but at this point I don’t see anyone else in the field of GOP candidates who can defeat Biden and Democrats know it. If Biden wins another four years – and I don’t agree with those who say he will not run – and Democrats take back the House, we are finished.
