Harris implies that our great blue cities are not civilized and for once she is right.
If Joe Biden wants to make absolutely sure that a discussion about gun control leaves violent blue cities unscathed, who better to appoint to the task than do-nothing Vice President Kamala Harris, whose remarks about any topic are reliably incoherent and indecipherable?
No such luck. In remarks made in Fairfax County, Virginia the vice president insinuated that violence and civil society are incompatible. We already knew that, but this was quite an admission from the Biden-Harris team even if it was completely unintentional.
If the administration wanted to take a serious stand on Gun Violence Awareness Day, Harris should have been dispatched to a school in the Englewood District of Chicago, or perhaps to the city’s Washington Park or West Garfield Park neighborhoods. Instead, the choice was an ideologically safe venue without Chicago’s horrendous security concerns.
Kamala managed to muddle two gun violence issues that have little or nothing in common: school shootings and the violence that destroys poor, urban black and brown communities condemned to blue cities. The “commonsense reforms” she suggests address the former: background checks, red flag laws, an assault weapons ban.
Black and brown communities received no suggestions and only brief lip service from the vice president:
Black Americans are 10 times more likely to be victims of gun violence [homicides]. Latino Americans, twice as likely.909
Ten times more likely speaks to endemic problems in impoverished blue city communities managed by Democrats. Apparently, Harris didn’t realize who she was blaming:
In a civilized society, the people must know they can shop in a grocery store, walk down the street, or even sit in a classroom and know that they will be safe from fear and from violence.910
If you accept that remark at face value and most of us probably do, then she concedes just how bad conditions are in our great, uncivilized, and violent blue cities. For example, Chicago reported over 50 shootings during the Memorial Day weekend and almost matched that number last weekend, which was one day shorter. This is not a place where you can venture to a store or walk the streets without fear of getting in the way of a stray bullet.
It’s not just about gunfire. Smash and grabs and rampant shoplifting in stores, carjackings, and assaults mean no one is safe. The Biden-Harris solution ignores the problem in favor of pushing liberal, donor-friendly anti-Second Amendment legislation:
It is reasonable that you might want to know before someone can buy a gun whether they have been found by a court to be a danger to themselves or others. Common sense would suggest background checks and red-flag laws might avoid that danger. (Applause.) Common sense.911
Common sense also tells us that minors who can’t legally possess a gun but are frequently involved in shootings and homicides will not be stopped by any of these solutions. Neither will repeat felons who aren’t going to line up for a background check to get their hands on a handgun.
While Harris claims that gun violence cannot normalized, that is exactly what the Biden White House does by refusing to confront the situation Democrats created with their liberal, anti-police and systemic racism agenda that panders to activists determined to blame crime on anything but criminals. She admits that not all communities are impacted equally, but neither do the answers pushed by the administration and Democrats that leave out the one place they can make a difference: blue cities where they control the law.
In this age of DEI obsession, it stands to reason that Biden and Harris believe the strength of our nation depends on young leaders from a variety of backgrounds:
Because the bottom line is this: We love our country. We love our country. (Applause.) And I believe — I believe, especially in this moment, that the strength of our nation depends on each of us, especially our young leaders. (Applause.) Especially you.912
The vice president’s numbers argue that this is not going to happen in communities where the next generation is being systematically killed off one by one. The answer is not anti-Republican gun laws. The solution is for crime-ridden blue cities to get serious about the criminals responsible for street crime and shootings instead of coming up with endless, woke-friendly excuses for their violent acts. Perhaps one day these liberal hellholes can rejoin civilized society and their residents can “shop in a grocery store, walk down the street, or even sit in a classroom and know that they will be safe from fear and from violence.”

Is Biden’s mental state a clear and present danger? Destroying America is insane and so is indicting Donald Trump.
Yesterday’s announcement of another outrageously politicized Trump indictment raises the disturbing question we should have answered before our president, commander-in-chief, and ostensible leader of the free world set foot in the White House: is Joe Biden suffering from dementia and if so, how bad is it?
Democrats clearly don’t care. They would be happy with a monkey in a suit if it could do their bidding and sign its name. Shaking hands with the air, falls, unintelligible remarks, and getting lost at events and being rescued by a staff member in an Easter bunny costume are window dressing for a series of catastrophic policy blunders that call the president’s competence and even his sanity into question.
Biden’s destruction of America is insane.
The president’s damaging decisions seem insane to anyone who cares about America. Criminal cartels control the flow of humanity at our open border, the Afghanistan withdrawal catastrophe was a cataclysmic presidential failure, the refusal to stop China from spying from our skies, the non-response to Russia shooting down a U.S. drone, the attack on our fossil fuel industry, the unhinged rhetorical violence directed at political opponents, the serial lying, and even the growing list of items he wants to forbid us to own signal instability, incompetence, and a massive failure of leadership.
The Biden White House wants us to believe that the president knew nothing about the Trump indictment before we did:
Again, we’re not going to comment on this. I will tell you, though, that — and confirm, as we’ve said overnight, that the President, senior staff found out just like everybody else last night. No advance knowledge that this was coming. Found out from news reports, just like everybody else across America.913
The Justice Department is pursuing an unprecedented, historic indictment against a former president and our current president’s chief political rival and Biden knew nothing about it? Either this is a blatant, albeit not unprecedented White House lie, or Joe isn’t running the show.
We are in uncharted waters with this president. It’s time to demand an answer to protect our country and our people: is Biden so cognitively deranged that activist inmates are running the asylum? If so, his presidency is a clear and present danger to America and he needs to either step down or be removed immediately.
No sane American president would approve Trump indictment.
No sane president in Biden’s shoes would even consider moving forward with the Trump indictment. If it’s true the president didn’t know about it, which strains credulity to the breaking point, the obvious question is why not?
The Hillary Clinton email scandal set a precedent for the DOJ’s refusal to pursue Biden’s own classified documents scandal. This signals unequal, weaponized justice at the highest levels of our federal government. The message to Americans? Being a Democrat means you are accountable for nothing and protected from the consequences of everything you do, even if it includes election interference and allegations of bribery and corruption involving foreign governments.
Biden’s witless arrogance proves he has no worries no matter what James Comer’s (R-KY) committee reveals. The Justice Department, Homeland Security, the FBI, the media, big tech, labor unions, schools, and the whole of the Democrat machine are behind him 100% while he dismantles American greatness piece by piece.
There is no possibility Biden will be held accountable for anything, no matter how egregious. The $5 million whistleblower Ukraine corruption allegation, which most consumers of America’s politicized mass media will never even know about, will die in the House. This is a disturbing thought that extends well beyond the Biden Justice Department’s efforts to take down the president’s election competition.
Protected or not, Biden’s actions are not the actions of a sane, sound, mentally competent leader. Destroying America is insane. We are blessed to live in the greatest, most opportunity-laden nation on earth. Our president is determined to end that legacy for no reason that could possibly make sense. America would have been better off had he done absolutely nothing when he took over. Everything Biden gets involved in hurts us. That includes a system of justice his administration just proved is irretrievably weaponized in favor of Democrat Party candidates.
We can only draw two conclusions. Either the president is willfully destroying America or he is too mentally impaired to know what he is doing and unseen actors are running our country. Neither are risks Americans can afford to accept.
This can’t wait: to protect our nation we need to know Biden’s mental state NOW.
It’s time for the American people and Republicans in the House and Senate to demand Biden submit to an impartial, independent mental competency exam just like Donald Trump agreed to.
Democrats warned that Donald Trump was unstable and might push the dreaded nuclear button. This was another hoax, but Joe Biden publicly warns of nuclear Armageddon. His apparent instability and the insanity of either turning a blind eye to Garland’s machinations or blatantly using the Justice Department to guarantee his reelection portend doomsday at the very least for America’s election system, rule of law, and system of justice. Biden’s refusal to protect us from our adversaries is even more concerning, especially while we are embroiled in a proxy war with a nuclear power just as capable of destroying the planet as he is.
Should Americans be worried? We should be terrified. Sane decision-making is not behind yesterday’s indictment stunt. By all appearances this is a crazed effort by an autocrat to manipulate the election process using federal agencies under his control. If this is not true, it’s time to find out what we’re dealing with, why Biden knew nothing about this history-making indictment on his watch, and how sound of mind America’s president really is.

Biden destroys American citizenship with three words.
“Dreamers are Americans” claimed Joe Biden914 on Thursday while marking another anniversary of DACA, the failed Obama-Mayorkas amnesty scheme.
New Americans who care about our laws and jumped through bureaucratic hoops to be citizens under the false assumption that citizenship is something that matters and our government values were probably surprised and maybe even angry to hear about this. American citizenship used to mean something. Now, according to the president anyone can be an American if they have political value to the White House and Democrat Party.
We’ve heard about being Americans in all ways but one many times, but Biden just took this denial that citizenship matters to new heights. Now illegals are real Americans. He wants us to be thankful for these doctors, teachers, and small business owners,915 though he didn’t bother to break down the numbers. I suspect there is a reason for this. Many of us would be very curious just how many brain surgeons and rocket scientists are hiding amongst his 800,000 Dreamers.
Now that citizenship is not required to be an American, the end of U.S. sovereignty and our territorial boundary with Mexico makes a lot more sense. So does instigating the invasion of America from the four corners of the globe and seeding illegals in big cities across the country. These are new Americans, not illegal immigrants. Granted, they took an illegal shortcut but since being illegal doesn’t interfere with being an American, citizenship is at best an unnecessary legal inconvenience.
With the value of citizenship destroyed, we can also discard the fealty to our great nation that genuine new Americans swear to. We can also forget about the obligations of being a real American that even our president doesn’t seem to believe in:
I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic;916

Scary but true: Biden says America can’t function without the consent of the government.
It’s safe to say that no one really cares what Joe Biden says in public these days. He could read one of Donald Trump’s campaign speeches and the media would sing his praises while Democrats stand mute and cross their fingers that he makes it to November 5, 2024. The insane, destructive pageant of the Biden presidency is pathetic and sad and a stunning indictment of a political system that jumped the tracks.
Even when his nonsensical utterances come close to intelligibility, we still wonder what the heck Biden is trying to communicate to us. At a California fundraiser he persisted with the myth that his administration is about uniting the country:
But the second point — the second thing was we had to figure out how to unite the country. And the press, understandably — it’s not a — I’m not criticizing the press when I say this — the press sort of made light of my saying we got to unite America. How can a democracy function without the — without the consent of the government, without cooperation? How does that work? I don’t know any place that ever worked.917
Did he really say that democracy can’t function without the consent of the government? To the best of my recollection that’s not what the Founders had in mind.
The president’s remarks on American unity are scary and perplexing until you realize what he’s trying to convey:
And so, we spent a lot of time working on that. And when I said, Joe, that we’re going to have bipartisanship, people looked at me like I was crazy. Because remember, they said, “Well, Biden was a real bipartisan leader when he was a senator. And he was known for being able to (inaudible). But this is different.” Well, guess what? We came up with a trillion-200-billion-dollar bipartisan infrastructure bill. It’s going to change — (applause) —918
There you have it. Unity isn’t about we, the people. The people are ancillary to the government. In Joe Biden’s befuddled brain the government decides what it wants and then tries to convince us that it’s what we want, too:
Because, look, we got to unite the country. We got to let people know what we’re doing.919
I think it’s fair to say he’s underestimating us. We know too well what Joe Biden is doing and we don’t like it. We don’t like the open border, the fentanyl deaths, the rampant crime, the bowing to China, the fringe sexuality being shoved down our throats and infecting our schools, the two-tiered justice system that just got a boost from his son today, or the weaponization of our politicized DOJ and security agencies to attack the president’s political enemies. We don’t like any of this one bit, but it doesn’t matter because not liking what the government does is not our role in what Biden falsely calls a “democracy.” Our job is to listen to what the government has to say and find a way to like it. Isn’t that what America is all about?

That’s a perplexing question, Stephen. If the left is sincere about climate change a nuclear war isn’t going to solve their problem, but it seems that’s the direction the administration has chosen even if Biden doesn’t realize it.
As you point out, it seems the endgame really is to break our country socially, morally, and economically. As long as Democrats stay entrenched in power – and I don’t believe the midterms are secure or a slam dunk by any means – the damage won’t impact them. They will get richer and more powerful while the American people’s lives are decimated. After a time the people will thank the government for anything it permits, anything it offers, anything it lets us keep for ourselves. If history has a precedent, it’s every country that decided a socialist economy and authoritarian government was a good idea.

Desperate people will accept whatever they are offered. When people can’t afford to leave their homes to work, find empty shelves at the grocery store, and are left sweating in the summer heat because of rolling blackouts, they will accept any relief the government offers because they don’t have a choice. Nothing that is hurting us is by accident.

Democrats don’t seem to worry about debt or the long-range consequences of what they are doing, so this doesn’t seem to be something that concerns them yet. If you took a survey and asked them how the government is funded, I wonder what their answers would be?
I suppose if you are in power and have every federal agency under your control you can do whatever you want, especially when your opposition doesn’t have the spine for the kind of all-out partisan warfare and massive propaganda campaigns that Democrats are so good at. When an institution, policy, or person offends them, they destroy it. Even the Supreme Court is a target and the Constitution was throw on the trash heap long ago.

Ok initially trump pushed for an investigation into Hillary Clinton an right wing media was OK with that but when the tables were turned after trump one the general election he impeded the the investigation into allegations of his possible wrong doing. I’m not sure which allegations you are referring to, Gilbert, but Russian collusion was a Clinton campaign hoax and the Ukraine phone call charges didn’t pan out, either. The Hunter Biden issue is completely different. There is alleged hard evidence on a laptop in the FBI’s possession that was covered up by the media before the 2020 Election. Worse, the president’s statement that he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings have proved false. That’s the difference.

Exactly right. Trump put America and Americans first. Biden and his party are owned by radical activists who put themselves first and could care less about what it does to our country. It’s amazing how quickly they tore down what Trump accomplished and how difficult it will be to repair all the damage done. I can agree to that, Kevin and yes, politics has turned into an us vs. them argument. When Biden accused Republicans of semi-fascism he emphasized the battle lines and now, a year later we have four indictments against Trump to prevent him from running instead of letting voters make the decision at the ballot box.
I would never argue that Trump was a perfect president or the perfect conservatoire candidate, but at this point I don’t see anyone else in the field of GOP candidates who can defeat Biden and Democrats know it. If Biden wins another four years – and I don’t agree with those who say he will not run – and Democrats take back the House, we are finished.
