Liars Govern America. Why Won’t Democrats Tell the Truth?

Last update March 22, 202316 Comments

March 11, 2023:

Will Biden’s lies about American values sell his $6.9 trillion budget?

A president’s budget is not about the nuts-and-bolts horrors of line-item spending. That’s a chore for earmark-crazed lawmakers and backroom bean counters. A White House budget proposal is a statement of values, agenda, and intent. It should be judged as such.

This week we got a look at what President Biden says he values. Just five days ago while accusing America of racism the president proclaimed “truth matters.”614 He didn’t say to whom, though we can be reasonably certain it’s not anyone in his administration or Democrats whose pants were pulled down repeatedly last week thanks to Tucker Carlson’s revelations about January 6, a new twist to the Biden classified documents scandal, and more damning information about anti-First Amendment censorship and our government’s pro-Chinese Communist Party manipulation of the COVID-19 origin story.

Yes, it was a tough week for Democrats. Rest assured the truth still matters to Biden and his party. When facts hurt, it’s critical to subvert them whenever the truth contradicts what they are selling. This includes the values behind President Biden’s 2024 budget.

The White House fact sheet on the president’s spending plan for fiscal year 2024 starts out with a whopper:

As the President delivers results for the American people at home, he has also taken action to restore American leadership on the world stage—leading with America’s values, working in lockstep with America’s allies and partners, investing in the Nation’s military edge, and addressing the most significant challenges and opportunities before us.614

Did someone write this before the spy balloon scandal? There is no mention of America being comic relief for the CCP or Mexico and its criminal cartels or even Vladimir Putin. The claim that Biden restored our leadership on the world stage is an outright lie. Unless he’s blaming Barack Obama, the only person he could have restored it from is Donald Trump. Trump was a true leader who commanded respect overseas. Joe Biden is a phony and a fraud, and our adversaries know it.

Schumer, Jeffries: Democratic vision vs. economic catastrophe

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) slavered over the thought of congressional Democrats getting their hands on $6.9 trillion. He praised Biden’s “Democratic Vision for the Country:”

So this is just a great budget. It fits the needs of American families to a tee, and gives them the kind of hope and optimism that America is moving in the right direction, and paying attention to their needs.615

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) chose a different strategy. He threatened Republican “default and economic catastrophe.”616 and persisted with misinformation about GOP plans to cut Social Security and Medicare that will deny us retirements of “grace and dignity after a lifetime of hard work.”617

Does Jeffries plan on retiring with grace and dignity on nothing but Social Security and Medicare? Perhaps he was bored with lying about January 6 deaths to counter Carlson’s reporting:

The January 6 insurrection was violent, approximately 140 officers were seriously injured a handful of officers died as a result of the events of the January 6 violent insurrection.618

This is not a man we should trust to negotiate trillions in spending on our behalf.

Biden sells 2024 budget with values he doesn’t value

The president’s 2024 budget pitch is notable for selling a fiscal plan with values that he not only doesn’t value but has destroyed outright.

First, this everyman president hurt Americans who continue to suffer from his economy. He insists that he has working class backs:

Folks, here’s why I’m here today. For too long, working people have been breaking their necks, but the economy has left them behind — working people like you — while those at the top get away with everything and get everything.619

The Consumer Price Index disagrees. With Republican investigations in full swing, it’s obvious that Biden and administration officials are the people who “get away with everything and get everything” while the working class suffers and the middle class struggles to get by in Democrats’ punishing, climate-centric inflationary economy where sending untold billions to Ukraine takes precedence over Schumer’s claim that Democrats are paying attention to the needs of the American people.

Undeterred, Biden followed up with the three reasons he ran for president:

One, to restore the soul of America, restore some decency and honor to the system.620

There is no decency or honor in lies. Lies are how the Biden administration communicates with the American people. Look no further than administration claims that the border is secure. We know this is not the case. The White House sticks to the story anyway because the truth does not matter. When facts are too damaging our weaponized, censorship-happy federal government is a persistent threat to anyone who disagrees.

Next up on Biden’s list:

And two, to rebuild the backbone of the country: the middle class. When the middle class does well, the poor have a way up and the wealthy still do very well.621

We’ll let high prices and runaway inflation speak for themselves. Biden is correct that the wealthy will still do very well, assuming they were not overinvested in the Silicon Valley Bank or FTX. So will the Biden family. It’s the middle and working classes that are hurt by what he’s done to the economy.

Ready for another?

And the third one is to unite the country. Didn’t think we could do that, but — as we’ve seen all the talk about, “We never get any cooperation from the other team.” The last two years, we’ve passed some pretty big things with bipartisan support.622

This is the most offensive lie of all. The fact that a few Republicans agree to support Democrat Party legislation does not mean Americans are united.

Whoever coached Biden on his budget comments should have reminded him not to mention restoring the “soul of America.” The phrase is inextricably linked to his historic, “semi-fascism” attack on conservatives and one of the most hateful, divisive speeches we’ve ever heard from an American president.

The White House stock-in-trade is division, not unity. Sowing suspicion and hate with lies and misinformation is not going to bring us together and Biden knows it. Separating the American people is the goal because a divided America is a weak America ripe for political exploitation. Nevertheless, the president wrapped up his budget remarks with the usual nonsense about Americans sticking together:

Folks, let me conclude by saying we just have to remember who we are. We’re the United States of America. (Applause.) There is nothing — nothing — beyond our capacity — I mean it — nothing beyond our capa- — if we do it together.623

We know who we are. We also know what we value. America has nothing in common with a president who pushes a $6.9 trillion spending plan with lies about values he doesn’t support. Democrats might, but the rest of us know better.

UPDATE March 15, 2023:

Americans should have faith that our government will screw us for problems with the banking system

Are you stupid? If you’re reading this, I assume not. We can leave the government’s ridiculous assertion that we won’t foot the bill for the SVB bank bailout to stupid people who voted for Joe Biden:

No losses associated with the resolution of Silicon Valley Bank will be borne by the taxpayer.624

You can add this to the list of economic lies that includes the one about spending bills that are 100% paid for and won’t cost taxpayers a cent. As the New York Post points out, one way or the other the funds for the newest bailout for people with lots of money that is most assuredly not really a bailout is coming from you and me.625

Democrats prefer our heads remain floating in the clouds so we can be eternally grateful for what the federal government does for us each and every day. Bastions of honesty Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) offered thanks on the American peoples’ behalf for saving SVB and the banking system:

We are grateful that the Biden administration, Federal Reserve and FDIC took swift action to safeguard depositors and maintain confidence in the banking system. Americans should have faith that bank regulators are doing everything they can to protect consumers. In the coming days and weeks, Congress will be looking closely at the causes behind the run on Silicon Valley Bank and other banks and how we can prevent a similar crisis in the future.626

If bank regulators were doing everything possible, why is this bailout that’s not a bailout necessary? Wasn’t the subprime mortgage crisis enough to put regulators on notice that they needed to pay closer attention, or was embarrassing Gavin Newsome and California’s bank watchdogs over what they did or didn’t know or the extent to which the governor was involved with the bank627 too risky for Democrats as a 2024 decision looms?

No doubt Schumer and Jeffries are grateful. For Democrats this is a PR spin crisis first and foremost. As far as the money to make SVB depositors who might also be Democrat Party donors whole, we all know where that’s coming from. Rest assured they do, too.

UPDATE March 22, 2023:

Liars matter: House leader still has “full confidence” in purveyors of Democrat Party’s Russia hoax.

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) vented his unhappiness with Republicans to ex-Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki during a Sunday MSNBC interview that shows once and for all how much Democrats depend on lies to deceive Americans.
Jeffries ridiculed the GOP’s investigation into the weaponization of our federal government, which he derisively referred to as the “Committee to Protect Insurrectionists.” He assured us that two discredited Democrats who got away scot-free after pushing the party’s lies about Trump-Russia collusion have his complete confidence:

Well, I have full confidence in the leader of the House Judiciary Committee, Jerry Nadler, the leader of the Oversight Committee, Representative Jamie Raskin and the leader on the Democratic side of the Weaponization Committee, Stacey Plaskett, to continue to make sure that we are upholding the rule of law, doing our congressional duties and responsibilities, but also pushing back against the extreme MAGA Republican overreach that we continue to see and have seen over the first few months of this new Congress.628

Nadler, another New York Democrat, was one of the primary instigators who spread the phony and thoroughly discredited Trump-Russia Collusion hoax. This was from a press release he issued as this historic Democrat Party fraud picked up steam:

The evidence is piling up, and it points to direct collusion between the Trump campaign and the government of Vladimir Putin. The call to the FBI again points to the need for a wide-ranging bi-partisan investigation by Congress.629

The names of those he relied on to push this Clinton campaign scam are familiar:

Republican questions included a host of queries designed to identify confidential human sources currently being used in the ongoing investigation; questions about George Papadopoulos, Christopher Steele, Glenn Simpson, and Carter Page; questions about the classified FISA process; and even personal questions about Mr. Strzok’s extramarital affairs and how and when he voted:630

Steele, of course, was the source of the notorious, discredited dossier that was alleged to be the smoking gun implicating Trump and Russia.

Jamie Raskin (D-MD) cited the “absence of public pressure from Ryan and the Republican leadership” to support Democrats’ anti-Trump fraud during the Mueller probe. His fealty to the truth meant ridiculing the Trump administration for calling the hoax exactly what we now know it was:

Already, the Administration has attempted to discredit the work of Mueller and his expert legal team, variously describing the investigation as a “fishing expedition,” a “witch hunt,” and a “hoax,” in addition to questioning its costs.631

Raskin joined Nadler and 18 other Democrats in a letter demanding then Speaker Paul Ryan support their phony, fraudulent investigation:

We write with questions about your role in attempts to coordinate action between the Trump campaign and Russian government officials or operatives during the 2016 presidential election.632

They continued:

… We also share grave concerns about any official in the White House with a position of influence over national security who knew about, or even participated in, covert arrangements designed to help a foreign adversary of the United States subvert our democratic elections processes.633

These are the colleagues governing House Democrat Jeffries wants us to trust. Raskin is still at it, now attacking Republicans for “nonsensical interference” for sending a letter to DA Alvin Bragg concerning Bragg’s “unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority:”

The Republicans’ letter to the Manhattan District Attorney represents an astonishing and unprecedented abuse of power as they attempt to use Congressional resources to interfere in an ongoing criminal investigation at another level of government and obstruct a possible criminal indictment.634

Meanwhile, while questions explode over the Biden family’s foreign business dealings and America’s possibly compromised president, Raskin and Democrats on the Oversight Committee continue to persecute Trump’s family. The latest allegations involve “$250,000 of foreign government gifts.”

Today’s preliminary findings suggest again the Trump Administration’s brazen disregard for the rule of law and its systematic mishandling of large gifts from foreign governments, including many lavish personalized gifts that vastly exceed the statutory limit in value, but were never reported—some that are still missing today.635

While Democrats wage their war of deception, propaganda, innuendo, and lies against Biden’s likely 2024 opponent, Jeffries assures us they will put People Over Politics:

We are on the right side of the American people, the right side of American values and on the right side of history.636

Does this make you wonder what the wrong side might look like?

What good does it do to point out democrat lies. The GOP won’t do anything about it.

I don’t disagree, Michael. They will hold hearings. They will issue a report. Nothing will come of it because they don’t have the political might and too many in the party don’t want to rock the boat that keeps lawmakers fat and happy.

Democrats are the biggest damn liars that ever lived or at least one of the biggest liars but anyway they are big time liars who don’t the meaning of the word truth and honesty, they think we’re fools who believe their lies but not all of us are foolishly enough to believe their lies and they like to feed us a heaping load of their bullshit lies and put blame on anyone and anything that they can put blame on cause that trash isn’t going to take blame for nothing cause it’s easier to put blame on someone else or something else but their favorite person to put blame on is Trump and he’s always been their favorite person to pick on, it isn’t bad enough that they used Covid-19 to do that stupid mail in ballot thing all so they can steal the election away from Trump but then they keep right on with their bullshit cause I think they feel threatened by Trump and I think they always have felt threatened by him especially now, I think they’re scared that Trump might run again in the 2024 election and win and get back in office and they sure don’t want that and I hope Trump does run again and wins because this country needs him back as President and I don’t give a damn what the birdbrains out there think cause they’re no damn better than the trash out there, doing the damage to America cause they support them and vote for them and when they do that, that makes them no better than they are cause they support the garbage doing the damage and to me that’s like a slap in the face cause to me when you support them, it’s like you support anything and everything they do, good or bad so I say” WAKE UP, AMERICA!

Wow! Faye, I think you covered it. I haven’t decided whether they lie because they think we’re too dumb to see through what they say, or because they don’t care what we think. Probably both. As far as Trump is concerned, I wholeheartedly agree. Democrats and sadly, many Republicans are terrified of a leader who won’t play their game of stringing us along, hurting Americans in the process, and doing absolutely nothing to make our country better. Trump got things done and Washington still hates him for showing how worthless and self-interested our elected officials are. The best way for him to end their hate is to be reelected. Afterwards he can’t run again and this will go away.

When Dems say the violence is part of their agenda. They are telling the truth. They plan on using as much violence to make legal Americans afraid to stand up to them

Exactly right, Mea. All it takes is a liberal dog whistle to get the violent, peaceful protests started. As long as Democrats control Homeland Security, the Justice Department, and the FBI, left-wing domestic terrorists have nothing to worry about.

Spot on, antiobama. There is no better proof than their new Inflation Reduction Act. Democrats are so arrogant that they don’t even try to hide the fact that they lied to Americans about the purpose of this bill or what it will accomplish. As you rightly point out, when they lie it’s gospel and anyone who reveals the truth will be denounced and cancelled by Big Tech and their complicit media.

Difficult to do without a congressional majority, but with any luck after midterms next year there will be plenty of Republican bullying to make up for the lunacy we’ve suffered from the left.
