You know the numbers. They chronicle the end of American greatness. The 8.6% rise in the Consumer Price Index reported for May was even worse than the bad news we expected. Inflation is at a 40-year high. 15,000 migrants are headed for our border, an insignificant number compared to what we can expect if the Biden administration succeeds at ending Title 42.
You are paying $5.00 per gallon for gas if you’re lucky and $5.89 on the way to passing $6.00 if you live with me in tax-weary, Democrat-controlled Illinois.
That 401(k) you thought you were going to retire on? Plan to keep working until well after the coming recession.
The house you plan to buy for your family? You might want to check where interest rates are headed first.
I could go on, but it’s just too painful. What has happened to America wouldn’t be quite so terrible if the president cared in the least bit about how he’s destroying the lives of good, hard-working people and their families. He doesn’t. Your pain is policy. Using the economy to beat you into submission until you beg Biden and the Democrats for your next handout is the goal.
We are ruled by liberal elites who value America only for the riches it can provide them. That’s why they don’t care if they destroy the greatest nation on earth by subverting our laws, ignoring the Constitution, and doing whatever is necessary no matter how amoral or foul to entrench themselves in power. They know who prospers under an authoritarian regime. It’s not you and me.
President Biden assures us that the buck stops with him. In the context of our failing economy it’s difficult to know what he means by that, but it certainly sounds like a cruel joke that hints at where our dollar is headed as he implements his damaging clean energy fantasy.

Unless you are wealthy and liberal you’ve been hurt by Joe Biden, though it’s not just about the money. Conservatism is under attack by Congress and the White House. Seven great things about America you won’t enjoy this year because Joe Biden is president.
One of the greatest things about being an American is that there are almost limitless possibilities to live your life any way you choose. America has always been the land of opportunity. For some that means building wealth and a solid future for their family. For others it means enjoying our country’s bountiful outdoor resources and natural splendor.
Thanks to Joe Biden’s ruinous presidency these opportunities are vanishing fast and may not return for a very long time. Fulfilling his mission to destroy our economy has been successful beyond what even the most cynical conservative could have predicted. It shows in the loss of practically everything we counted on to improve our lives before Biden took over.
Here are seven great things about America we took for granted that are gone because Joe Biden is president.
1. Buying your first house
Home ownership has always been central to the American Dream. Now interest rates are up. The cost of a mortgage is far higher than it was before Biden and his party dumped too much money into the economy and spiked inflation. The nest egg you were counting on for your down payment is worth less and is probably hemorrhaging cash because of your plummeting investments. Even the cost of moving is up. Moving vans run on fuel.
The new house will have to wait. Better resign yourself to kissing what’s left of that down payment goodbye because you’re going to need it for fuel and food.
2. Taking a family vacation
Planning to visit the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone for this summer’s family driving vacation? No, you’re not and you won’t be flying on the cheap, either. Instead, think rubber inflatable pool in the back yard.
3. Retire
The 401(k) you were relying on for your Golden Years doesn’t look so reliable, does it? You can thank Biden for that too, but don’t worry. Democrats have told us for years that Social Security is the key to a happy, secure retirement. Now you’re finally going to find out if they are lying, which we all know they are.
4. Buying things you depend on and never think about
You don’t realize how being able to buy simple, everyday things you depend on makes your life more enjoyable until they vanish. How many things are we going to run out of before Biden’s progressive experiment in Third World economics ends? Now it’s feminine hygiene products, which doesn’t seem fair considering we’re still not done weathering the baby formula crisis. Someone should remind him how many women vote for Democrats, assuming he cares.
5. Plan for your future.
Planning for the future is difficult when all the familiar financial benchmarks are going up in smoke. Now we’re reduced to hanging on for dear life and forcing ourselves to not look at our portfolios every day as soon as the closing bell strikes.
Before the 2020 election we feared that we’d be handing our money to the socialist wing of the Democrat Party. We were wrong. Biden worked his financial magic and made our money disappear instead.
6. Buy an electric car.
An electric car is not in your future unless you’re Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) or another member of Congress living on the taxpayer dole who derives pleasure from rubbing our faces in the dirt because we can’t afford an electric car and have to pay the Biden Gas Price Hike. Sorry to say your new EV is a luxury purchase that evaporating savings, tanking investments, and recession are not going to support. Biden and his climate activist handlers should have thought about this before they destroyed our economy, but for now they seem to be satisfied watching us suffer every time we fill up.
7. Trust that America’s president wants your life to be better and won’t purposely try to doom your hopes
Living our lives in that great, booming Trump economy is just a memory that makes what Biden is doing to us all the more painful. We enjoyed the great things America has to offer because we had a president with a vision for American greatness instead of a determination to destroy what generations worked and sacrificed to create.
Dooming the futures of millions of Americans will be Joe Biden’s legacy. The things we thought we could depend on are either gone or vanishing fast. It’s not a matter of life in America being less enjoyable. The issue is surviving it.

First and foremost, America protects our kids. Biden’s use of children to push his LGBTQI+ agenda is disgusting, amoral, and wrong.
A society that refuses to protect its youngest and most vulnerable members has crossed the line into moral bankruptcy. That’s where the Biden administration’s promotion of the left’s radical LGBTQI+ agenda has delivered us.
Protecting our children does not include exposing them to drag queens that even some adults find offensive despite their current political popularity with Democrats. It does not mean teaching first graders about alternate lifestyles before they learn their ABCs or confusing them about their gender so they question who and what they are and become even more vulnerable to being manipulated. Neither does it mean excluding parents from the equation so their kids can be indoctrinated by strangers behind their backs.
None of this is normal. It’s a woke left perversion of normalcy to advance an activist cause by targeting impressionable children who are too young to understand what they are being exposed to and why. Their trust and naiveté is one of the reasons they are vulnerable to pedophiles and predators. It makes them the perfect target of our woke public school system and Biden’s LGBTQI+ agenda.
Biden issues another order in search of a problem
Today’s White House “Background Press Call Previewing an Executive Order Advancing LGBTQI+ Equality During Pride Month” continued to spread the lie that Florida passed a “Don’t Say Gay” bill. This should make all of us instantly suspicious because lying, above all else, is what the Biden administration resorts to when its actions cannot be justified.
The press call contained nine references to “children” and six to “kids.” In fact, children were the focus of this transparent White House effort:
At today’s event, the President will sign an executive order on advancing equality for LGBTQI+ individuals. That executive order will take historic steps to support LGBTQI+ people, especially children and families.390
The White House alleges mass discriminatory legislation against children and asserts that kids “have seen their rights under attack:”
This year we’ve seen over 300 anti-LGBTQI+ laws introduced in state legislatures, and many of them specifically target transgender children and their parents.391
Most Americans are pretty level headed about what is right and wrong. Despite what Biden wants us to believe, most of us don’t endorse discrimination for any reason. When the White House resorts to blaming “these extreme MAGA laws and policies”392 we know we’re not talking about what’s right for kids. We’re talking divisive activist politics. That’s what this is really about.
The White House has made the cynical decision that kids will be the most effective pawns to advance its alternative sexuality agenda. This is a sickening progressive take on morality, especially when it draws in kindergarten and first grade children protected by Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law and any similar legislation in other states.
Citing children “being exposed to sexually charged content,” Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) stepped up in response to plans to hold a children’s “Drag Queen Story Time” at the Ramstein Air Force Base library in Germany. In a May 27, 2022 letter to Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall, Rubio objected to using taxpayer dollars to “place children in a sexualized environment:”
These inappropriate events are extremely divisive at home for good reason; in all cases, they place young children in close proximity with adults who are intentionally and explicitly sexualized. A flyer for the similar event last year highlighted the apparent inclusion of a controversial book, The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish.393
The event was subsequently cancelled. Responsible Americans including those who are part of the LGBTQI+ community need to follow suit and draw the line. When adults are exposed to something that makes them uncomfortable they can walk away. Do kids at an event like this have that option? Do they feel comfortable doing so, especially if their parents are excluded? Children are a captive audience for political and social indoctrination. The worst part of it is they don’t even know it. Democrats do, though. So does Joe Biden.

Biden still searching for domestic terrorists while economy he destroyed goes up in flames.
The economy is in shambles. The Federal Reserve just took drastic measures to slow the destruction the White House is desperately trying to blame on anyone and anything but Biden. So what’s a responsible president to do? Create more domestic terrorists.
The Biden administration seems to think that if we’re all cowering in our basements worrying about murderous MAGA white supremacists roaming the streets with AR15s we won’t notice how absolutely awful our lives are because of this president. The lies wore out long ago. We all know gas prices aren’t Putin’s fault. The blame for inflation rests solely on the president and his party.
Biden’s biggest problem is that he doesn’t change course when he does something stupid. His Stalinist Disinformation Board was an epic failure, an embarrassment America will remember for years to come. While we wait for him to resurrect this affront to the First Amendment, the White House just announced an alternative in the guise of a new task force that casts a very broad net to address the problem of online misogyny and gender-based violence.
It’s difficult to know just how big of a problem this is, though compared to what’s happened to our economy there are few problems except our wide open border that should divert the administration’s attention from not continuing to ruin our lives. Nevertheless, we’re being warned of a new danger that sounds a lot like domestic terrorism:
The [Online Harassment and Abuse] Task Force will produce recommendations for the Federal government, state governments, technology platforms, schools, and other public and private entities to prevent and address technology-facilitated gender-based violence, including a focus on the nexus between online misogyny and radicalization to violence.394
Online radicalization to violence sure sounds like terror. It’s the same phrase we apply to Islamic extremists and since Biden took office, conservative Americans. The threat is central to Biden’s plan for “Strengthening the Federal Response to Online Harms.”
As per White House protocol, Americans are offered statistics with no citation or substantiation:
In the United States, one in three women under the age of 35 report being sexually harassed online, and over half of LGBTQI+ individuals report being the target of severe online abuse.395
The problem is so insidious and widespread that it’s difficult to understand all the ramifications:
Technology-facilitated gender-based violence can have serious consequences, ranging from psychological distress and negative health impacts, including self-harm and suicide, to self-censorship and disruptions to education and economic loss.396
Biden’s online harassment fact sheet mentions a study about “How Online Harassment of Female Political Figures Undermines Democracy,” but doesn’t tell us why female political figures are special while Democrats and the president ignore very real threats to female and male Supreme Court Justices and a recent assassination attempt against Brett Kavanaugh.
One sentence buried in the jargon shows the administration’s backside:
Recent mass shootings have also underscored the connections between online harassment, hate, misogyny, and extremist acts.397
Bingo. Look for a new version of Biden’s Disinformation Board to be resurrected soon to address this problem and put mass shootings back in the headlines. As our greatest in the world economy descends into financial anarchy the geniuses in the White House are focusing on keeping us distracted and diverted. Few things do that better than fear, so fear is where this new Biden task force is headed.

We went from strong leadership to no leadership. Biden’s threats are hollow and meaningless and our adversaries know it. God only knows what he’ll come up with in Europe this week. That’s a perplexing question, Stephen. If the left is sincere about climate change a nuclear war isn’t going to solve their problem, but it seems that’s the direction the administration has chosen even if Biden doesn’t realize it.
As you point out, it seems the endgame really is to break our country socially, morally, and economically. As long as Democrats stay entrenched in power – and I don’t believe the midterms are secure or a slam dunk by any means – the damage won’t impact them. They will get richer and more powerful while the American people’s lives are decimated. After a time the people will thank the government for anything it permits, anything it offers, anything it lets us keep for ourselves. If history has a precedent, it’s every country that decided a socialist economy and authoritarian government was a good idea.

Desperate people will accept whatever they are offered. When people can’t afford to leave their homes to work, find empty shelves at the grocery store, and are left sweating in the summer heat because of rolling blackouts, they will accept any relief the government offers because they don’t have a choice. Nothing that is hurting us is by accident.

That’s a great question, PJ. They have to be smart enough to not completely destroy the economy so there is still enough of a tax base to fund their socialist handouts. Democrats don’t seem to worry about debt or the long-range consequences of what they are doing, so this doesn’t seem to be something that concerns them yet. If you took a survey and asked them how the government is funded, I wonder what their answers would be?
I suppose if you are in power and have every federal agency under your control you can do whatever you want, especially when your opposition doesn’t have the spine for the kind of all-out partisan warfare and massive propaganda campaigns that Democrats are so good at. I’m not sure which allegations you are referring to, Gilbert, but Russian collusion was a Clinton campaign hoax and the Ukraine phone call charges didn’t pan out, either. The Hunter Biden issue is completely different. There is alleged hard evidence on a laptop in the FBI’s possession that was covered up by the media before the 2020 Election. Worse, the president’s statement that he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings have proved false. That’s the difference.

While it’s true that Pres. Trump has an offending personality to some people, he was a great leader for AMERICA. He truly is a “WE THE PEOPLE” president, so much that it angers the Leftist Democrat Communists who are out to crucify him….Since day one, they have not left him in peace. Exactly right. Trump put America and Americans first. Biden and his party are owned by radical activists who put themselves first and could care less about what it does to our country. It’s amazing how quickly they tore down what Trump accomplished and how difficult it will be to repair all the damage done. Unfortunately, we can’t bring back the lives lost from crime, fentanyl, and the other consequences of a Democrat-controlled nation.
This article is more, or less, an Ode to Trump… rather than ways Biden is “destroying America.” Which is dramatic in itself.

I can agree to that, Kevin and yes, politics has turned into an us vs. them argument. When Biden accused Republicans of semi-fascism he emphasized the battle lines and now, a year later we have four indictments against Trump to prevent him from running instead of letting voters make the decision at the ballot box.
I would never argue that Trump was a perfect president or the perfect conservatoire candidate, but at this point I don’t see anyone else in the field of GOP candidates who can defeat Biden and Democrats know it. If Biden wins another four years – and I don’t agree with those who say he will not run – and Democrats take back the House, we are finished.
