Government Hypocrisy Example #260: Second anniversary of the Waukesha Christmas Parade massacre passes unnoticed and forgotten by our government
On October 14, 2023 President Biden honored the “life and legacy” of George Floyd. He praised himself for an executive order implementing parts of the Democrat Party’s defunct George Floyd Justice in Policing Act and then per White House protocol found America’s soul lacking:
George Floyd’s memory reminds us that there is more work to do to redeem the soul of America.769
Twisting the narrative about who and what we are mandates draping an ermine cape around Floyd’s shoulders. It also makes it easy and politically expedient to ignore the second anniversary of the Waukesha Christmas Parade massacre because it contradicts fundamental Democrat Party propaganda about what’s wrong with our nation and people.
Democrats and the Biden White House want violence in America to be a race problem linked to white supremacy. Floyd’s killing checked the right boxes:
The murder of George Floyd and the current COVID-19 crisis illustrate once again the painful and dangerous legacy that white supremacy has had in our country, and the desperate need to fully acknowledge and understand how our history of inequality continues today,” Congresswoman [Barbara, D-CA] Lee said.770
The Waukesha massacre did not.
White House avoids Waukesha at all costs
The president made a statement the day after the killings. Biden was announcing his nominees for Chair and Vice Chair of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, so he didn’t have much of a choice. He acknowledged the tragedy but did not offer the details being reported by news outlets.771
During a November 29, 2021 press conference an attendee mentioned a report that “… the assailant swerved his truck side to side as part of an intentional act to run over as many people as possible” and asked why the president had not visited Waukesha. Jen Psaki responded:
Obviously, any President going to visit a community requires a lot of assets, requires taking their resources, and it’s not something that I have a trip previewed at this plan- — point in time, but we remain in touch with local officials.772
A year later, Karine Jean-Pierre was asked why Biden visited Buffalo, the site of a mass shooting by a white supremacist, and not Waukesha. This was her response:
I mean, he’s visited many communities. Buffalo — he was — we — you know, he was — he’s able to go tomorrow to Buffalo before the trip. That is something that was important for him to do. But he has visited many — many other communities. This is not — Buffalo is not the first community, sadly, that he has to go up to because of a violent attack. So, you know, that’s not — that’s not the first one. So he’s been to many others, sadly.773
Sadly, this is the most Biden’s White House had to offer. Instead of the president, Waukesha got Dr. Jill. More about that in a moment.
Waukesha massacre was about white supremacy?
Six people were murdered and sixty-two injured on November 21, 2021 by a Black man who drove an SUV into a crowd at the annual Waukesha, Wisconsin Christmas Parade. Media reporting offered varying interpretations that went to the extreme of suggesting that an apparently autonomous vehicle was the guilty party.
The incident didn’t support Biden administration orthodoxy that terror attacks from white supremacists are the threat we should fear. No hate crime charges were filed. Domestic terrorism was off the table, though we have to question whether this would still be true if a white man had driven his SUV into a Black crowd.
The fact that the act was perpetrated by a Black man with an extensive criminal background that included time in prison didn’t exclude white supremacy from the discussion. The Anti-Defamation League claimed that white supremacists were exploiting the tragedy.774 An article in the Wisconsin Examiner engaged in a narrative-reinforcing discussion of white supremacy and far right nationalism that ironically claimed the lives lost were “weaponized for political gain.”775
And so on and so forth. The left leveraged its considerable media acumen to reimagine an incident that violated its preferred, radical narrative about racial violence.
In lieu of a presidential visit that would have been immediate had the skin colors of perpetrator and victims been reversed, the First Lady traveled to Wisconsin and talked nonsense that avoided the massive domestic terror elephant in the room:
While there is no logic to this loss, it has left something else in its wake: love. And that defies logic, too. We dance for no reason but a song inside us that won’t be silenced. We love with every piece of our hearts, even if they might be broken.
And though we have been changed by this tragedy, we are not diminished. Instead, we grow—together—to hold both our sorrow and joy.776
This was no “loss.” It was wanton slaughter. Perhaps I missed it, but I can’t recall anyone talking about joy in any context after George Floyd’s killing. Now, in the years after the Waukesha tragedy Floyd’s status as a veritable social justice messiah for the left continues to grow while a congressional resolution introduced three times to honor those killed at the Christmas Parade fails to gain traction.
2022 and 2023 Waukesha Parade resolutions ask for nothing, go nowhere
On 2023’s second anniversary of the Waukesha massacre Rep. Scott Fitzgerald (R-WI) introduced H.Res. 884, “Honoring the victims of the devastating attack that took place at the Waukesha, Wisconsin, Christmas parade on November 21, 2021.” The resolution asked the House to honor the victims, extended condolences to those who knew and loved them, and thanked those who fought to save their lives.
5 Republican and 2 Democrat lawmakers cosponsored. All were from Wisconsin.
The same resolution was proposed in November 2022 with only 7 cosponsors. Three were Democrats.
Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) proposed the resolution to the Senate. S.Res.847, “A resolution recognizing the 1-year anniversary of the tragic attack at the Waukesha Christmas Parade on November 21, 2021, and honoring the 6 individuals who lost their lives and the 62 others who were injured” earned one cosponsor, Republican Senator Ron Johnson.
Compared to the violent riots and social and law enforcement legislation angrily demanded after George Floyd’s murder, all the Waukesha resolutions request is a remembrance for lives tragically taken from us.
To date, they have not come up for a vote. Year by year, the tragedy threatens to disappear from our national memory.

Boy, Civil Candor you sure called it the way it is. All screwed up! It is hard to see how supposedly intelligent men and women can destroy a country without even trying. All the President and Congress has to do is disagree with each other, pass some stupid legislation and then tell the taxpayers that it is all for their own good and that of the country. Talk about the rise and fall of a country, the US under this administration, will beat all previous records in getting the job done quickly..

Supposedly intelligent …

Thanks, Nunya. If it incited you enough to take the time to make a comment, I’ll take that as a compliment.
