20 Examples of Government Hypocrisy to Make You Angry

August 11, 2013 by Bob Prokop 4 Comments

April 23, 2024:

Government hypocrisy example #263: Biden won’t wage a Battle for the Soul of the Nation to protect Jews

On September 1, 2022, President Biden delivered what is arguably the most hateful, divisive partisan speech in modern American history. The White House called it the “Continued Battle for the Soul of the Nation,” but it was not about any soul America could be proud of. The staging and military presence were shocking and yet wholly appropriate for the president’s dictatorial rant against Donald Trump and those he accused of supporting him.

Americans got the message. Trump and the MAGA Republicans are unacceptable threats that must be stopped at any cost:

Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.793

The president warned of a crisis that sounds very much like the policies endorsed both publicly and covertly by his White House and the Democrat Party:

They promote authoritarian leaders, and they fan the flames of political violence that are a threat to our personal rights, to the pursuit of justice, to the rule of law, to the very soul of this country.794

Now, while autocrat Biden and his authoritarian party seek a final solution to their Trump problem, Jews in America are under attack. Political violence rages. Their basic right to exist as individuals and a people is the subject of angry protests across our country and in the halls of learning where liberal freedoms used to have value.

If you are waiting for another speech about the Soul of Our Nation denouncing the anti-Semites in Biden’s base and announcing a renewed nationwide effort to put a stop to the pro-terror protests, it’s going to be a long wait. Like the George Floyd riots, gaslighting to serve political necessity takes priority.

Biden votes make antisemitism tolerable

While antisemitism rips America apart and turns our values into blatant hypocrisies, Democrats focus on keeping the White House at any cost.

Hatred for Trump deserved a prime-time speech.

Angering blatantly antisemitic, pro-terror elements in the party’s base seven months before a presidential election is not worth the risk.

Instead, the “alarming surge of Antisemitism”795 in our country deserved a quiet, online White House statement commemorating Passover that most Americans will never read.

The president couldn’t get through a single paragraph without adding a pro-Palestinian pander for his pro-Hamas supporters:

My commitment to the safety of the Jewish people, the security of Israel, and its right to exist as an independent Jewish state is ironclad. My Administration is working around the clock to free the hostages, and we will not rest until we bring them home. We are also working to establish an immediate and prolonged ceasefire in Gaza as a part of a deal that releases the hostages and delivers desperately needed humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians. We will continue to work toward a two-state solution that provides equal security, prosperity, and enduring peace for Israelis and Palestinians.796

Why the scathing hypocrisy? Soon after he took office, Biden denounced antisemitism, presumably because it played into his opportunistic narrative about racism, hate, and discrimination festering in America:

These attacks are despicable, unconscionable, un-American, and they must stop.

I will not allow our fellow Americans to be intimidated or attacked because of who they are or the faith they practice.

We cannot allow the toxic combination of hatred, dangerous lies, and conspiracy theories to put our fellow Americans at risk.797

In 2023 the White House even rolled out a “whole-of-society approach to tackle the scourge of antisemitism in America.”798 The U.S National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism consisted of four pillars, including a commitment to:

Improve safety and security for Jewish communities.799

2023 was not an election year. Biden votes were not at risk.

Biden condemns those who don’t understand the plight of Palestinians

Today, the president was asked about the protests. His answer?

THE PRESIDENT: I condemn the antisemitic protests. That’s why I’ve set up a program to deal with that.

I also condemn those who don’t understand what’s going on with the Palestinians and their — how they’re being —800

He didn’t specify what his program was.

Planning for port construction to channel aid to Gaza is still underway while Jews in America fear for their safety.

Boy, Civil Candor you sure called it the way it is. All screwed up! It is hard to see how supposedly intelligent men and women can destroy a country without even trying. All the President and Congress has to do is disagree with each other, pass some stupid legislation and then tell the taxpayers that it is all for their own good and that of the country. Talk about the rise and fall of a country, the US under this administration, will beat all previous records in getting the job done quickly..
