UPDATE March 23, 2022:
Democrats Use Ukraine Tragedy to Demand We Open the Immigration Floodgates.
Liberal lawmakers compare humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine to illegal migration to America. They are not the same thing and to suggest they are is another Democrat Party lie.
The Trump administration enacted Title 42 early in the COVID pandemic to facilitate the removal of illegals. The goal was to protect Americans. Surprisingly, the Biden administration kept Title 42 in place. Not surprisingly, Democrats were unhappy about it:
Using the pandemic as an excuse to keep implementing the Trump Title 42 policy—that has prevented millions of asylum seekers from refuge—must end.128
Millions?? Democrats rarely have a problem coming up with excuses to flood our country with illegal foreign nationals. Their false narrative revolves around America’s values, racism, and xenophobia:
We must work to end xenophobic policies from the prior administration, based on hate and fear, that do not reflect our American values.129
One day after these remarks from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus the Biden administration announced it would stop deporting unaccompanied minors under Title 42. In response, the CHC demanded the complete abolition of the policy.130
We expect this sort of liberal, America be damned approach to immigration politics. Nevertheless, there are limits to what we as American should tolerate. CHC Chair Raul Ruiz (D-CA) crossed the line when he compared the plight of the Ukrainian people to advantage the migrants showing up unbidden at our border:
Whether fleeing for your life from Putin’s army in Ukraine, or drug cartels and gangs in Central America, all refugees must have the opportunity to seek asylum without fear of being expelled back to the exact dangers from which they fled.131
There is a big difference between shelling innocent civilians and invading our Southwest border because Joe Biden is president and the gates are wide open. Ruiz didn’t mention the migrants brought here by cartels instead of fleeing from them, the violent criminals who return after being deported, or the gangs transplanted from Central America to our homeland. This is about opportunism, not facts or even reason, and a shameful example of how human tragedy is used for political gain.
Ruiz isn’t the only politician using Ukraine’s humanitarian catastrophe to push Democrats’ immigration agenda. Squad Member Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) joined Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-NY) in a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas protesting the removal of Haitian migrants. They cited Biden’s “recent suspension of deportation flights to Ukraine:”
We write with a request as simple as it is urgent: Stop deporting and expelling people to Haiti. Now,” Reps. Pressley and Jones wrote. “Today, we reiterate our insistence that you impose a moratorium on deportations to Haiti, respect Haitians’ legal and human right to asylum by ending Title 42 expulsions, and reverse the unjust deportations to Haiti that have already occurred.132
It would be a waste of time to point out that it’s too dangerous to fly into Ukraine. Democrats will say and do anything they can to ensure unfettered access to America for anyone who wants it. Even so, nothing excuses the comparison to Ukraine. When Russian missiles start flying in Central America they can talk about refugees. Until then, no one should be drawing parallels between the enormous loss of life in this conflict and the deaths yet to come with the migrants showing up at America’s gate with their hands out. There is no comparison.
UPDATE March 29, 2022:
Biden fronts for Democrat Party liars with 2023 budget lies.
Billionaires aren’t the enemy and clean energy won’t arrive in time to save the middle class from Biden’s price hikes.
After a weekend of correcting presidential misstatements and watching the poll numbers sink the White House chose yesterday to let President Biden loose again and unveil the Democrat Party’s plan for the FY 2023 Budget. We’re back on familiar turf now. Democrats have an age-old excuse for why their reckless economic policies hurt voters foolish enough to believe their lies and put them in office: the rich don’t pay enough taxes:
And the wealthy and corporations will finally begin to pay their fair share. For most Americans, the last few years were very hard, stretching them to the breaking point. But billionaires and large corporations got richer than ever. Right now, billionaires pay an average rate of 8 percent on their total income. Eight percent — that’s the average they pay.133
Democrats’ progressive agenda helped us reach that breaking point but the truth is not what pushing massive new spending is about. The president used “tax” or “taxes” 16 times yesterday in a speech replete with the kind of misstatements and outright lies we’ve come to expect from his administration:
Well, the budget I’m releasing today sends a clear message to the American people that we — what we value. First, fiscal responsibility. Second, safety and security. And thirdly, the inv- — (clears throat) — excuse me — the investments needed to build a better America.134
Faithful Biden lap dog Nancy Pelosi echoed the same false fiscal responsibility claim, as if the massive inflation punishing Americans doesn’t exist:
At the same time, the Biden budget reflects Democrats’ continued commitment to fiscal responsibility. Our economic strategy has put the nation on track to slash the deficit by an historic $1.3 trillion this year, and this proposal aims to build on this progress by further reducing the deficit by more than $1 trillion over the next decade.135
Perhaps the shrinking percentage of faithful, deluded Democrat voters who are either wealthy or don’t eat, drive, or buy anything believes this. The rest of us know better, especially when Biden resorts to blaming Trump for what his economic policies have done to the American people:
The first value is fiscal responsibility. The previous administration, as you all know, ran up record budget deficits. In fact, the deficit went up every year under my predecessor. My administration is turning that around.136
Biden mentioned energy, but he never talked about gas prices or domestic production because of his complete subservience to radical climate progressives. Instead, we got more false promises about a green energy Shangri la. He offered comfort to families forced to decide between eating and filling their tank with sky-high gasoline:
My budget lowers family energy costs with tax credits to help people make their homes more efficient, research and development to broaden the reach of solar and build a clean energy future.137
Appropriately, the president concluded with the biggest lie of all:
So I look forward to working with members of Congress — Democrats, Republicans, and independents — to deliver this budget and keep delivering for the American people.138
Let’s make that two lies. First, this will be a non-starter with Republicans. Democrats, White House bureaucrats, and anyone who reads the news knows it and so do Biden and Pelosi.
Second and much more offensive, Biden and the Democrats have already delivered for the American people. They gave us soaring prices on essentials like food and gas, soaring crime rates, soaring illegal immigration, and massive spending that brought damaging, record inflation. To soothe the financial anguish we got yesterday’s pack of lies and the same enemy the party always targets when their recklessness hurts the American people.
As usual, Democrats’ solution to fix the economic wreckage they cause is to spend even more. The better fix is to vote these lying left wing hacks out of office as soon as possible.
UPDATE April 1, 2022: Gender radicals take you for a fool.
Do your genitals lie like Democrats?
When the left claimed with a straight face that our genitals are irrelevant to our gender it was pretty clear we were being taken for fools. A minority of screamers, shouters, threateners, and cancel culture geeks have spent the entirety of the Biden administration demanding that Americans swallow their nonsense about how to evade biology by force of law, if necessary.
In better times the verbal gender freak show that we’re expected to accept as normal would at best be a sideshow attraction for the terminally bored. Unfortunately for the vast majority of Americans who are sane, level-headed, and trust what their chromosomes and genitalia have to say, our government has endorsed the left’s gender fringe and their accompanying cultural insanity.
When the Biden administration began to refer to mothers as “birthing people” we should have taken to the streets on behalf of women who were being neutered for liberal political gain. Perhaps this was a test to see how many of us were paying attention and how many would protest against the left’s determination to use our union-controlled schools to groom children for whatever alternate lifestyle it deems most politically useful at the moment.
Creating victims to match an agenda you’ve already decided on is misleading and deceitful.
Whether it’s preferred pronoun nonsense, corporate wokeness like the battle being waged between Disney and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over the state’s parental rights bill, or incremental efforts like Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton’s (D-DC) bill to strip the requirement of gender identification from the Real ID Act in the name of equality,139 we can only hope that Americans see this for what it is. Democrats like victims, the more the better. Since they have run the gamut of victimized Americans created for the benefit of their party, more need to be created:
At a time when millions of transgender Americans are under attack by violence, hateful rhetoric and discriminatory legislation, it is crucial that we — as a nation — witness, recognize and celebrate the resilience of the transgender community in the United States and around the globe,” said Congresswoman Marie Newman.140
Millions? Rep. Newman doesn’t cite her source. For now we’ll have to give her the benefit of the doubt.
[Author’s note April 2, 2022: current estimates place the U.S. transgender population at 1.5 million.141]
There is a reason this sounds familiar. Just swap out “transgender Americans” with “black Americans,” “Asian Americans,” “Latino Americans,” “LGBTQ Americans,” or even “women” when women still existed. This is fill in the blank victimhood politics that fits the needs of a Democrat Party not known for its veracity. Only a fool would accept it at face value.
UPDATE April 8, 2022:
Governing Democrats desperately want you to believe their newest, most outrageous lie yet: Biden has done an incredible job.
If you want incontrovertible proof that Democrats despise the people they trick into voting for their lies, look no further than their new strategy to deflect the blowback from Biden and Harris’ abysmal poll numbers. In a House Democratic Caucus press release Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) insists:
President Biden is laying the foundation for an incredible economic turnaround.142
Future tense is popular with a party that seems to be going out of its way to alienate the American people. For those holdouts who actually believe that better times are ahead, Jeffries makes his claim even more outrageous:
President Biden has done an incredibly good job during his time in office under very difficult circumstances, helping America work its way through this once-in-a-century COVID-19 pandemic, uniting the free world in support of Ukraine and against Russian aggression and laying the foundation for an incredible economic turnaround.143
None of these things true. Not one. The president couldn’t even manage to supply COVID tests in time for the last surge. Monoclonal antibodies are in short supply as we await the next. Instead of Operation War Speed II, Americans get vaccine orthodoxy and an FDA-approved, equity-based racist distribution scheme for treatments.
Biden dragged his feet on supplying Ukraine for a war that would likely never have happened if America had a strong, coherent leader. At least party members have been quiet about our retreat from Afghanistan though they probably consider that catastrophe a historic success, too.
The economic turnaround is coming?
No, Biden’s stunning economic turnaround isn’t coming. The White House has worked overtime to impair America’s post-pandemic economic resurgence for the sake of Democrats’ activist climate agenda. The only way the cost of living is going to come down is if Democrats bribe their base with handouts paid for by others. This is not resurgence. It’s just more lies like this:
This is a tremendous foundation for the American people. That doesn’t just happen automatically, doesn’t just happen magically.144
Magical thinking does happen automatically for Democrat politicians who are so determined to evade responsibility for raising gas prices while they figure out a way to make electric cars affordable for working and middle class families that they forget the importance of believability:
We’re going to make sure that the full story is told, both as it relates to Putin’s price hike, connected to gas prices, as well as some of the price gouging that is taking place this week.145
Just in case the Vladimir Putin gas price hike isn’t enough to convince you to cast your vote for the radical left, there is always January 6:
If the country does not commit to investigating and pursuing accountability for those responsible, the court fears that January 6 will repeat itself.146
Expect the results of Pelosi’s Kangaroo Court to be announced in 6-7 months, close enough to midterms that there won’t be enough time to investigate whatever election-ready conclusions the tribunal issues. Meanwhile, Democrats need to come up with a few more lies to explain their involvement in spreading the Trump-Russia hoax. They also need to circle the wagons to bury the growing Hunter Biden scandal their media deep-sixed during the election that put Joe in office. I don’t think blaming their problems on Russian disinformation is going to work this time, but we’ll see. Not telling the truth is something the Democrat Party excels at.
UPDATE April 17, 2022:
Cut the crap, Kamala. We already know how to address illegal migration and the root causes aren’t the problem.
How long does Vice President Harris think she can maintain her ridiculous charade about the root causes of migration to America? As long as she thinks we believe it. She just dished up more nonsense about creating jobs in Central America to fix our illegal immigration problem:
The Vice President provided an update on progress in implementation of the Administration’s Root Causes Strategy, including marshalling private sector investment in the region through the Vice President’s “Call to Action,” which has generated more than $1.2 billion in private sector commitments to create new jobs and opportunities for people in the region.147
Making life better in Central America can wait until she’s finished protecting the U.S. border. No matter how much Harris and Biden look down on America, neither can possibly be so dense as to think that investing in Central America is going create jobs that are a better option than coming to a country that welcomes illegals with open arms, guarantees the same minimum wage paid to citizens, offers free transportation, and hands out free cell phones.
They are by no means that dense. They think we are.
Nevertheless, Harris declares that the administration’s plan for dealing with the root causes of migration is paramount:
The strength and security of the United States depends on the implementation of strategies like this one.148
No, the strength and security of the United States depends on leaders who make these things a priority above all others. The Biden administration could have mandated that we finish Trump’s wall. Instead, Biden cancelled wall project contracts. They could have refused to admit migrants into the U.S. Instead, our government hands them cell phones and expects us to believe that illegals will keep them so they can be tracked. The White House could have hired more Border Patrol agents, used the military, and done whatever was necessary to protect Americans and the sovereignty of our borders. The Biden administration chose not to. Instead, we’re supposed to believe that the answer is making life in Central America just as appealing as life in America.
We know that Biden and Harris think Americans are stupid. They must believe that migrants are stupid, too. The fact that they are coming here in droves proves otherwise.
UPDATE April 18, 2022:
Biden administration commemorates Tax Day by lying about Republicans and ignoring the massive hike failed White House policies slaps on middle and working class families.
While many of us are scratching our heads this morning wondering what we are getting in return for the checks we are writing to state and federal revenue collectors, the Biden administration chose to turn Tax Day into a partisan attack on Republicans:
This Tax Day, the difference in approach between the President and Congressional Republicans couldn’t be clearer. The President is fighting for tax cuts for the middle class and to ensure that the super wealthy and large corporations pay their fair share, while Congressional Republicans, led by Senator Scott, are proposing big tax increases on middle-class families.149
Let’s ignore the obvious lie Democrats have been spreading about Republicans lining up to commit political suicide by supporting Senator Rick Scott’s (R-FL) tax plan. Instead, we should focus on the Big Lie that the Biden administration cares about middle and working class families. The White House FACT SHEET issued this morning claims that the president:
will fight against the Republican plan to raise taxes on middle-class families . . .150
The Biden economic tax has already accomplished this. The cost of gas, food, and the essentials of daily living are skyrocketing and the best lower income Americans will get from this White House is a lie about the Putin Price Hike.
Fortunately, poll numbers show that most Americans are on to what presidential propaganda writers are doing. Most of us realize that the Biden administration is incapable of telling the truth and that threats that Republicans want to cancel Social Security and Medicare are a desperate gambit to save a sinking ship. Not only are they untrue, they ignore the reality of what the Biden administration has willfully done to hurt Americans who are just trying to get by.
Don’t expect an apology or any legitimate action to make life in America affordable for middle and working class families. The Biden administration seems to think that another passel of lies will suffice to fill gas tanks and put food on our tables.
UPDATE April 29, 2022:
Pelosi admits why lying is so important to Democrats.
In a joint appearance with Chuck Schumer (D-NY) yesterday, Biden lap dog Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appeared to have difficulty deciding where to pin the blame for Biden’s soaring gasoline prices that she promises Democrats will fix with legislation.
In keeping with her party’s socialist leanings, Pelosi started by joining Schumer to blame the fossil fuel industry for making a profit:
But there is an ongoing challenge to us that the American people understand very clearly. And that is that Big Oil has profiteered in this, has exploited the marketplace. This past year, the report is they’ve made over $200 billion in profits.151
Does this make sense? Gas prices were low while Donald Trump was in charge. If it’s true that Republicans pander to the fossil fuel industry, shouldn’t prices have soared under Trump?
No matter. This wasn’t about the truth. Pelosi also attacked the companies we depend on to feed us:
The food industry has some of this as well, and we’ll deal with that as our Committee is ready because we’re trying to be as careful as possible, as focused as possible to make the biggest difference as possible for that kitchen table.152
For good measure she reminded us that her party’s Putin Price Hike, the war in Ukraine, and COVID-19 are also at fault:153
And again, we’re going – getting down this path with very serious legislation that is for now, recognizing COVID and what that has done to supply – the Ukraine [situation], what that has done to supply.154
Somehow the gun and pharmaceutical industries are involved, too:
The one thing they worry about most is that their big gun money, their dark gun money, their dark fossil fuel money, their dark pharmaceutical money, their dark – all of that would be affected by that legislation.155
At this point it was beginning to sound like a massive corporate conspiracy. Pelosi didn’t mention whether that dark pharmaceutical industry money includes profits from the Biden administration’s emphasis on vaccines, vaccines, and more vaccines. As for big gun money, it doesn’t have anything to do with gas prices but it’s a reliable phrase to stir up her base.
There wasn’t anyone or anything in America left to blame except bad Democrat Party policies and the president, so Pelosi’s train of thought disintegrated into desperate, rambling gibberish:
So again, it’s – price gouging is something that people feel very exploited by, and we don’t want this to be a – we want it to be as constructive as possible and just set the record straight. We have to transform how people are respected and how – how we respect the workforce that is there in our oil industry, our fossil fuel industry. We are – we’re not saying that they’re doing anything wrong, but we do think that the management of those companies is.156
I think she was trying to say that oil companies are at fault, but maybe not really. Perhaps she is holding out hope that the fossil fuel industry might toss Democrats some midterm money.
Not likely, especially money from those who lost out when Biden cancelled the Keystone pipleine.
In the end this was all dedicated to convincing the American people that none of what’s causing our pain could possibly be the fault of congressional Democrats or their Green New Deal socialism or the Biden White House’s destructive, anti-fossil fuel agenda. The only stumbling block to fixing the problem and punishing Big Oil and the food industry and Putin and the COVID virus and the gun industry and the pharmaceutical industry is the hearts and minds of the American people. Pelosi finally fessed up that this is the real goal of all the lies and disinformation:
Public opinion. How many times have you ever heard me say Lincoln said: ‘Public sentiment is everything. With it you can do almost anything. Without it, practically nothing.’ The American people know.157
I think the speaker should take more credit on her party’s behalf. Democrats accomplished “almost anything” all by themselves. That’s why they’re about to be thrown out of town by an angry electorate that knows lies from lying Democrats are not a substitute for sound, responsible, pro-American policymaking. Judging by poll numbers and the grim predictions for November, most of us are ready to do exactly that.
UPDATE May 3, 2022:
Pelosi and Schumer blame alleged SCOTUS Roe v. Wade leak on Trump and lie about impact on our rights.
For absolute proof that Democrats have nothing to offer the American people except more pain, look no further than the joint press release issued by Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) about the alleged Supreme Court Roe v. Wade leak:
The party of Lincoln and Eisenhower has now completely devolved into the party of Trump.158
The duo’s shameless, pre-midterm election ploy minimized the gravity of the SCOTUS leak. Instead of addressing the real danger to our system of government presented by last night’s sneak attack on the sanctity of America’s highest court, Pelosi and Schumer resorted to inflaming the situation with a lie:
If the report is accurate, the Supreme Court is poised to inflict the greatest restriction of rights in the past fifty years – not just on women but on all Americans.159
This is not true. If Roe v. Wade is overturned the decision will rest with the people and their states. The left will wail, threaten, or worse over the end of their federal mandate because they neither trust nor respect the right of the people to decide despite the Democrat leaders’ false appeal to the Constitution:
Several of these conservative Justices, who are in no way accountable to the American people, have lied to the U.S. Senate, ripped up the Constitution and defiled both precedent and the Supreme Court’s reputation – all at the expense of tens of millions of women who could soon be stripped of their bodily autonomy and the constitutional rights they’ve relied on for half a century.160
Pelosi and Schumer’s remarks are dangerous and irresponsible.
Whether or not the leak is genuine, the Supreme Court’s constitutional mandate is now jeopardized. The “conservative Justices” Pelosi and Schumer target in their press release are also in jeopardy thanks to the pair’s dangerous, irresponsible public remarks. This is unconscionable behavior even for these two bombastic hacks. At the very least, Republicans should run this past Nina Jankowicz as a test case for Biden’s new Disinformation Board.
We just suffered an unprecedented attack on the sanctity of a critical branch of our Federal Government and the Constitution. Assuming this attack did not come from the right, Democrats will forgive and forget, disavow the consequences, and instead focus on how best to leverage this new threat to the democracy they falsely claim to revere to revive their vanished midterm election hopes.
UPDATE May 7, 2022:
Democrats won’t be held accountable when their abortion lies and disinformation lead to violence.
Despite the angry, inflammatory, and false rhetoric Democrats engaged in during 2020’s race riots not a single politician was held accountable for the destruction after making public remarks like this:
Our community can no longer be targeted, attacked, and killed with impunity. Being Black in America should not be a death sentence.161
This May 26, 2020 statement by the Congressional Black Caucus was a lie. Black people are not killed with impunity in America and the officers involved in George Floyd’s death were held accountable, but it’s too late for facts. The damage is done.
Now America has arrived at a new flashpoint thanks to Monday’s Supreme Court leak. Democrats immediately resorted to lies and disinformation to exploit their new opportunity to arouse and inflame left wing extremists knowing they will not be held accountable for their words any more than they were in 2020.
Democrats’ reaction to draft decision is 2022’s George Floyd.
With the possible exception of a police-involved shooting of a black person I can’t imagine a more triggering event for the nation than the leaked draft Roe v. Wade decision.
The Democrat Party line informs us that American women are about to lose their right to an abortion. What many Democrats leave out is that the right will not vanish. It will rest with the people instead of the Federal Government. This is an egregious omission that takes advantage of their base and spreads the kind of malicious disinformation that undermines democracy the Biden administration’s new Disinformation Governance Board vows to combat.
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was never held accountable for threatening Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh with his infamous March 2020 threat “you will pay the price.” Now he’s at it again, teaming with House Speaker Pelosi to attack conservative Supreme Court justices who “ripped up the Constitution” and are “in no way accountable to the American people.”162
Schumer and Pelosi are in no way accountable for the impact of anything they say, either, despite Pelosi basing her second Trump impeachment on his alleged verbal incitement of the Capitol riot.
Will Democrats be held to the same standard as Trump when Roe protests they incite turn violent? Not likely.
Democrats are inveterate, irresponsible liars and disinformers. When violence results, they must be held accountable.
California Congressman Jared Huffman held a briefing in March 2022 about “the role of White Christian Nationalism during the January 6 insurrection.”163 He followed up this week with examples of a “tidal wave of condemnation”164 after Monday’s bombshell.
Left-wing activists’ penchant for violent protest makes exploiting that tidal wave a very dangerous, very irresponsible plan likely to get people hurt or worse. This is precisely what Democrats are doing, apparently confident that only Republicans will be held responsible for the consequences of their rhetoric.
Responding to news of the leak, Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey insisted twice that conservative Supreme Court justices stole their seats:
This decision would undermine the health, safety, and freedom of millions of Americans, and it will be made at the hands of justices who Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and Senate Republicans foisted on the bench into stolen seats.165
Tonight, the American people got a sneak preview of what a stolen, illegitimate, and far-right Supreme Court majority appears poised to do: destroy the right to abortion.166
Those last few words are the Big Democrat Party Lie being spread in hopes that Americans caught up in the political turmoil won’t notice or understand that only the federal mandate will change.
Markey demands:
This egregious and overtly political act by these justices cannot go unanswered.167
He doesn’t say what an answer would entail, but considering what happened during the summer of 2020 we already have a pretty good idea.
Krishnamoorthi: defend rights on street corners.
Illinois Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi characterized the George Floyd riots as peaceful.168 He claims that the draft leak “reveals the final blow they [justices] plan to deliver to this sacred right.”169
Heedless to how offensive referring to abortion as sacred is to many Americans, Krishnamoorthi doesn’t mention that voters will decide what is sacred and what is not. What he does say is that we should defend reproductive rights “on street corners across the nation.”170 No doubt any violence in the streets we suffer in the weeks to come will also be declared peaceful, just like the George Floyd riots.
Rep. Peter Welch (D-VT) makes the ridiculous argument that Donald Trump is responsible because he packed the court:
The draft opinion by the Court’s conservative majority – a majority made possible by the court packing tactics of former President Trump and Mitch McConnell – is a cruel and brutal restriction of rights.171
Then he said this:
We cannot allow the Supreme Court to jeopardize the health of millions of Americans.172
The intent of his remark is clear: Supreme Court decisions cannot be honored if Democrats disagree. This is a very scary concept to contemplate, though given Democrats’ tolerance for violence and bloodshed to further legislative efforts like the June 2020 George Floyd Justice in Policing Act it should not be a surprise.
Jankowicz & Mayorkas must immediately address this dangerous disinformation from Democrats.
A Homeland Security Fact Sheet defines disinformation:
Disinformation, which is false information that is deliberately spread with the intent to deceive or mislead, can take many forms.173
One form is prominent politicians issuing inciteful statements that take advantage of people’s lack of understanding of what an actual decision like the Roe v. Wade draft would mean. What Democrats are doing is deceptive and dangerous. It’s an excellent opportunity for DHS Secretary Mayorkas and Disinformation Czar Nina Jankowicz to show how their Disinformation Governance Board will protect the nation from “malicious actors [who] often spread disinformation to exploit vulnerable individuals and the American public, including during national emergencies.”174
We’re not in a national state of emergency yet, but it certainly appears that Democrats are pushing us in that direction. Will they be held accountable for being malicious actors who spread disinformation to exploit vulnerable Americans?
I never lie to my readers. No, they will not.
UPDATE May 22, 2022:
Democrats won’t tell Americans the truth about the only domestic terrorism their new bill is concerned with.
Though it’s not what he intended, Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-CA) did an exemplary job of explaining what’s wrong with H.R. 350, the new domestic terrorism bill House Democrats passed last Wednesday:
Domestic terrorism, white supremacy and right-wing extremist violence are on the rise and this legislation takes bold steps to combat these significant threats and empower law enforcement,” Rep. Aguilar said. Americans overwhelmingly reject the hatred and bigotry that motivates these violent attacks. We are a nation that respects the rule of law, recognizes that diversity is our strength and believes that truth matters.175
That’s a pretty brash statement from a party that proves over and over that the only “truth” that matters is whatever messaging advances their political agenda.
Democrats have no intention of doing anything about domestic terror they can’t sell to the nation as right-wing extremism. Variations of the term “White supremacy” with a capital “W” appear 15 times in the bill. H.R. 350’s required twice-yearly report from the DHS Secretary, Attorney General, and FBI Director must include first and foremost:
(A) an assessment of the domestic terrorism threat posed by White supremacists and neo-Nazis, including White supremacist and neo-Nazi infiltration of Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies and the uniformed services;
With the Biden Disinformation Board temporarily defunct and DHS quieting down about investigating parents who speak their minds at school board meetings, it’s time for a new liberal investigatory bureaucracy to shore up Democrat Party claims of a nationwide white supremacist threat:
The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act authorizes the creation of three offices, one each within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), to investigate and prosecute cases of domestic terrorism. This bill also requires an FBI agent to be posted to each field office to investigate hate crimes related to domestic terrorism and requires regular reports to Congress on the state of domestic threats, focusing specifically on white supremacy.176
No matter what happens, anything that conflicts with Democrats’ prevailing anti-conservative narrative will be recast, reinterpreted, ignored outright, and backed by their complicit media. That is precisely what happened with the Waukesha Christmas Parade terror attack.
Axios reports that Homeland Security is getting ready for an eruption of violence when the Roe v. Wade decision is announced177 as early as tomorrow. Democrats began inflaming a violence-prone radical left the moment the draft decision was leaked in a scenario disturbingly similar to how they fanned the flames of the George Floyd killing throughout months of violent left-wing riots that terrorized American cities.
Also like the George Floyd violence, there is no conceivable scenario where any Roe riots will be construed by Democrats and their media as anything but justifiable peaceful protests.
Democrats promote righteous anger and issue a call to arms.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who presided over the House approval of the domestic terror bill, spoke of “righteous anger” as she set the stage for the left’s response to the SCOTUS decision:
Make no mistake: once Republicans have dispensed with precedent and privacy in overturning Roe, they will take aim at additional basic human rights.178
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s city suffered mightily during and after the George Floyd violence. She made national headlines earlier this month when she issued a Roe “call to arms” to the left.
Summoning the left’s foot soldiers is a no-risk endeavor for Democrats. They know they will bear no accountability for whatever happens. With a little luck they may even manage to convince their gullible base that any violent protests are the work of anti-abortion activists.
The Biden administration and congressional Democratic leaders have already proved that they can’t be trusted in matters of domestic security. Aguilar’s statement supporting H.R. 350 is patently false:
We are a nation that respects the rule of law, recognizes that diversity is our strength and believes that truth matters.179
Democrats prove over and again that they are liars and hypocrites who only invoke the rule of law when it suits their needs. If they cared in the least about our laws we wouldn’t have a crisis at Biden’s Border. H.R. 350 is about enforcing a narrative about the threat of white conservative voters who they know will trounce them at the polls later this year. As we will see if the inevitable violence they help to inspire breaks out in the wake of the Roe announcement, the difference between domestic terror and peaceful protest is political affiliation.
Maloney says you deserve to feel safe. Do you?
Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) claimed H.R. 350 passed with bipartisan support. He neglected to mention that there was only 1 Republican Yea vote and then made the ridiculous assertion that somehow this domestic terror bill will keep us safe:
Every American deserves to feel safe in their community, whether they are attending school, shopping for groceries, or praying in a house of worship,” said Rep. Maloney.180
We don’t feel safe and it’s largely the fault of Democrats. The cities they control are awash in violence, the Biden administration welcomes fentanyl, sex offenders, and gang members into the U.S. from Mexico, and now we’re again faced with an outbreak of violence at the hands of left wing activists that will be completely ignored as anything but a justifiable exercise of First Amendment rights.
Rest assured that the only domestic terror charges anticipated by this bill will be directed at conservatives and Republicans, in particular. Democrats do not recognize domestic terror from the left any more than the lies and disinformation that Biden’s Disinformation Board sought to suppress could ever come from his own party.
UPDATE May 26, 2022:
It’s Time to Call Out Democrats for Their Big Genocidal Lie.
We can only imagine the howls from the Democrat Party leadership when they heard about Tuesday’s mass shooting in Texas just one day before they were ready to celebrate the anniversary of George Floyd’s killing. We can also only imagine how many lives were saved by law enforcement in Uvalde that day. It didn’t matter to President Biden. Yesterday he announced his order to crack down on Federal law enforcement because Congress refused to pass his party’s George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.
Nancy Pelosi issued a statement attacking America’s police officers as she applauded the president’s newest effort to swap autocracy for democracy:
The Democratic House has twice passed our George Floyd Justice in Policing Act: bold legislation to help reduce police brutality, curb systemic injustice and save lives. We will not stop until this legislation is the law of the land.181
This swipe at the men and women who risk their lives to keep Americans safe wasn’t enough, so she took another:
In the wake of this brutal [Floyd] murder, courageous activists took to the streets to shine a bright light on the scourge of systemic racism and police brutality that has long plagued our nation.182
Did she mean the bright light of arson fires? Pelosi didn’t say.
Vice President Kamala Harris echoed Pelosi’s denunciation with a backhanded compliment:
The law enforcement officers of our nation — well, they swear an oath to protect and to serve, and the vast majority do so honorably. Yet we know, too often, when there is a use of biased policing and excessive force — when that occurs, it too often is not met with accountability, denying equal justice not just to individuals but to whole communities and, therefore, to our nation as a whole.183
When it was Biden’s turn, he reinforced the anti-police narrative with his plan for a national police brutality database:
First, the executive order promotes accountability. It creates a new national law enforcement accountability database to track records of misconduct so that an officer can’t hide the misconduct.184
Will any of this progressive anti-police nonsense have the slightest impact on the carnage in our big cities? Of course not. This is about extending Washington’s authoritarian grasp, trading progressive anti-policing for saving lives, and turning a blind eye to the genocidal daily loss of black lives that does not matter to Democrats because like Biden, they are secure in their belief that if you don’t vote for their candidates “you ain’t black.”
George Floyd has been elevated to Godhood by pro-crime progressives while police nationwide are brutally assaulted by the words of left wing politicians who hire private security because they are afraid for their own safety while they work tirelessly to deny that safety to their constituents. Their goals are dangerous, damaging, will get people hurt or worse, and they simply don’t care because their elite status means nothing they promote for the masses will impact them.
Crime cover-up: enough is enough from gun control Democrats.
It should be pretty obvious to every American who pays attention that Democrats don’t care about black or brown people as anything but talking points. Decades of blather about uplifting minority communities and spending to eliminate socioeconomic inequalities have brought us to where we are now. The best Democrats can do is cover it up by attacking Republicans over the Second Amendment.
WGN 9 reported 35 people shot with 9 killed in Chicago during the first weekend in May185 and 21 shot with 2 fatalities from May 9 – May 11, 2022.186 On May 19, 2022 9 people were shot with 2 deaths in a single incident according to ABC 7.187 None of this is unusual. If you don’t live close to the city you probably never even heard about it. There is no outrage other than from the people in the communities who lost loved ones.
Would gun control legislation and background checks help or would it just grow the black market for firearms? America has never successfully clamped down on the market for any illegal item. Prohibition was a laughable, half-hearted farce. Efforts to outlaw marijuana were such a textbook failure that the drug is now legal in many states and Democrats are pushing to legitimize it with Jerry Nadler’s (D-NY) H.R. 3617, the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act.
The fentanyl scourge kills a growing number of Americans, but opening Biden’s Border is a greater priority. Like the horrendous toll of urban black on black crime the deaths are collateral damage Democrats don’t have much to say about because they are so commonplace they have little political value.
An April 2022 Bureau of Justice Statistics report found an astounding disparity between homicides for black persons and those of other ethnic groups:
Based on rates among population groups, the firearm homicide rate was higher for black persons (22.0 per 100,000) than white (1.8 per 100,000), Hispanic (4.6 per 100,000), Asian or Pacific Islander (1.2 per 100,000), and American Indian or Alaska Native (6.2 per 100,000) persons.188
Despite the report’s finding that the majority of firearm violence involves handguns189 and that’s certainly what we see anecdotally from news reports, Democrats focus on assault weapons and high capacity magazines. These are flashy, scary weapons to be sure, but they are not the ones doing most of the killing on city streets any more than the killers are going to step up to be screened to purchase their next handgun.
Democrats must understand that the legislation they are pushing as part of their Second Amendment war of words with Republicans won’t stop the bulk of the killing that plagues America’s low income, urban black communities. By all appearances not only have they given up on crime in their cities, they’ve pushed district attorneys and prosecutors who take a soft on crime approach and endorse legislation to put violent criminals on the streets faster.
The president asked:
You know, where is the backbone? Where is the courage to stand up to a very powerful lobby? 188
Where is the courage to set politics aside and do something to stop the genocidal violence being waged against black Americans? Don’t look too hard on Capitol Hill. There isn’t any.
