Election deniers? Joe and Nancy gaslight America about a Democrat victory.
Biden gets it wrong: democracy won because the people said no to Democrats.
Joe Biden should have left well enough alone, but he couldn’t resist gaslighting Americans one more time even though a House Republican majority is set to take over in less than two months. Resorting to his usual bag of simple-minded rhetorical tricks, the president gave the appearance of victory with an utterly false take on what motivated midterm voters:
Last week’s elections demonstrated the strength and resilience of American democracy. There was a strong rejection of election deniers, political violence, and intimidation. There was an emphatic statement that, in America, the will of the people prevails.285
That “emphatic statement” handed the House to Republicans.
The president continued to press his claim that an election very much in the GOP’s favor was really an endorsement of the things Democrats stand for:
In this election, voters spoke clearly about their concerns: the need to lower costs, protect the right to choose, and preserve our democracy.286
Biden is correct. Voters spoke clearly about their concerns which is why he’ll soon be answering lots of questions from a new House.
Pelosi praises “excellent” Democrat performance and then hangs up House leadership role.
Nancy Pelosi offered a similar far-fetched delusion:
This year, House Democrats defied expectations with an excellent performance: running their races with courage, optimism and determination. In the next Congress, House Democrats will continue to play a leading role in supporting President Biden’s agenda — with strong leverage over a scant Republican majority.287
Two days later Pelosi announced the end of her leadership role and yet she persists with the fantasy that the midterms were some sort of victory for her party:
Last week, the American people spoke. And their voices were raised in defense of liberty, of the rule of law and of Democracy itself.
[Applause]
With these elections, the people stood in the breach and repelled the assault on Democracy. They resoundingly rejected violence and insurrection. And in doing so, ‘gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.’288
She is correct, to a point. The people are tired of the surging violence that Democrat public officials tolerate in their cities until they are the ones impacted.
Biden suffered a brief moment of clarity in the midst of all the gaslighting. He seems to realize that what’s coming is not going to go well for his administration:
As I said last week, the future is too promising to be trapped in political warfare.289
Apparently, the warfare waged by Democrats against Donald Trump and his family speaks to an entirely different future from what Biden anticipates at the hands of House Republicans. Call it payback or a badly-needed demand for ethical government and an end to Democrat double standards, the party waging war is about to change.
Let the games begin.
November 30, 2022:
The massive Democrat lie behind the Respect for Marriage Act.
Democrats parrot “no matter who you are or who you love, you too deserve dignity and equal treatment under the law” so many times while they shove their Respect for Marriage Act down our throats that many Americans probably believe this is true. It is not. This is a lie. Your political affiliation dictates whether you receive equal treatment.
Before the Senate passed the bill, Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) spoke of the “inexorable march towards equality” and then repeated the phrase again for those of us who missed it the first few hundred times:
By passing this bill, the Senate is sending a message that every American needs to hear: no matter who you are or who you love, you too deserve dignity and equal treatment under the law.290
I thought Democrats stood for equity and not equality, but equality is what matters here.
The problem with equality is that it has to apply to everyone, not just the groups partisans in power select as their favorites. Democrats refuse to extend equal treatment to those with whom they disagree and they don’t apply it to those they protect for political reasons, either. For example, they mercilessly harass and threaten Donald Trump as they build up to whatever sham indictment Biden’s politicized DOJ can dream up to block his 2024 candidacy, but they are mute about allegations concerning Joe and Hunter Biden despite:
Evidence obtained by Committee Republicans reveals Joe Biden lied to the American people about his involvement in his family’s business schemes.291
Political power is the arbiter of justice. Power is the deciding factor in who is investigated, who is indicted, and who is let off the hook or ignored entirely.
Examples? No public officials were held responsible for defrauding the American people by spreading the lie of Trump-Russia collusion based on the debunked Steele dossier. No officials were held accountable for quashing the Hunter Biden laptop story,292 though this arguably impacted the results of the 2020 election and threatened the democracy Democrats still claim they hold dear.
While Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Kangaroo Court grinds on to its predetermined conclusion and riot participants continue to be rounded up, we’re still waiting for the announcement of a Select Committee to investigate the 2020 race riots and the roles of Black Lives Matter activists and Democrats who spurred the rioters while insisting we were watching peaceful protests.
Most frightening of all are allegations that Washington’s politicized FBI misrepresents the extent of violent domestic extremism “fueling the Biden Administration’s narrative that domestic violent extremism is the biggest threat to our nation.”293
This is a prelude to investigations, knocks on the door, quashing First Amendment rights, and every manner of big government attacks on good, law-abiding Americans who have been objectified and targeted by America’s president as semi-fascist enemies of the state.
If you think for a moment that conservatives will be afforded equal treatment under the law by Democrat Washington, you haven’t been paying attention. That equal treatment vanished years ago. The question is whether it’s too late for a Republican House to regain our equality from the Democrat Party-White House-Mass Media-Big Tech cabal that so diligently took it away.
December 5, 2022:
This is just another story about liars on the left proving that deceiving voters is the key to Democrats winning elections.
It is ironic that the man accused of lying to the FBI about the Steele Dossier was acquitted in October 2022, the second anniversary of the suppression of the New York Post’s reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop. The Steele Dossier and the Clinton campaign’s tale of Trump-Russia collusion was a lie. Democrats got away with it, just like anyone involved in suppressing the 2020 story about the president’s son will also get off scot-free.
Elon Musk is revealing what real voter suppression looks like. Americans were denied the information we needed to make an informed decision about our next president. The guilty parties should be held accountable. They will not be and it no longer matters. Democrats got what they wanted. The election was certified. It’s too late to turn back. Their barely functioning figurehead controls the White House. The deed is done.
No, not that kind of transparency.
Per unspoken agreement between the Democrat Party and their sycophantic media, the bad guy in this story is Elon Musk. They started beating up Twitter’s new owner long before the deal to take over the company was finished and never stopped.
Reps. Lori Trahan (D-MA) and Sean Casten (D-IL) tried to turn the tables on Musk with a hypocritical demand for transparency. The pair sent a letter to the Twitter CEO seeking answers about his company’s policies:
“You have made public commitments to increase transparency and keep existing content moderation policies in place initially, but recent decisions, including those related to account verification and personnel, run contrary to these promises,” the lawmakers wrote.“294
We got some transparency on Friday, though it’s not the transparency for thee that Democrats favor. The response was predictable.
Months before the laptop story was deep-sixed, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ran interference for the soon to be nominated Joe Biden. In response to a Senate Republican investigation of Hunter Biden she accused the GOP of doing what Twitter is alleged to have done for Biden months later at the direction of persons unknown:
Instead, these Republican subpoenas are a clear act of retaliation and political retribution intended to help the President [Donald Trump] keep his job. It is sad that the GOP Senate has meekly and weakly chosen to be complicit in the President’s desperate and dangerous political tactics instead of passing legislation to save lives and livelihoods.295
Two weeks after the 2020 election Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitted they made a “mistake” with the laptop story:
We realize that and we recognize it as a mistake that we made both in terms of the intention of the policy and also the enforcement action of not allowing people to share it publicly or privately.296
Two years passed. Nothing came from this. In fact, in September 2022 Democrats still had the audacity to insist that any negative information about the Biden campaign was Russian disinformation:
The United States Senate should not be used to advance Russian state-backed conspiracy theories intended to interfere in our election.297
Now Republicans want us to know they are hot on the trail of anyone involved in suppressing the laptop scandal. They swear to get to the bottom of Joe Biden’s alleged corruption and his indebtedness to foreign governments. There is no point. Like the unpunished Trump-Russia collusion hoax, this scandal will further reinforce the political left’s confidence that there are no penalties for lying or deceiving the American people even when it interferes with a presidential election. Democrats will be emboldened, not chastened and this will not be the end, especially with another big election coming in less than 24 months.
If there is any doubt in your mind as to what an egregious affront this campaign of deception from the political left is to the democracy Democrats repeatedly lie about protecting, consider these words from Adam Schiff (D-CA) after Trump was elected in 2016:
This time is different – despite the unanimous conclusion of the 17 entities that make up the U.S. Intelligence Community that the Russian government sought to sow discord in our political process and undermine the Clinton campaign, there is a seeming hesitancy to dig too deeply into possible collusion between the Trump organization and the Russians, and to ascribe too much to Moscow, lest it call into question the “legitimacy” of the outcome of the 2016 election.298
Schiff got behind the Clinton campaign’s Trump-Russia hoax and called the legitimacy of the election into question. He was not cancelled. He was not sanctioned. He was not accused of being an election denier. There were no consequences. Not only is Schiff still in office, he now holds a position on the Democrat Party’s January 6 Kangaroo Court.
Republicans have plenty on their plate come January. Our economy is in tatters no matter what our serial lying president says. The border is wide open and an extreme security risk. Conservative lawmakers face a Democrat Senate and White House that guarantee what they pass will stay in the House.
Lying is the truth path to elected office.
Investigations and hearings are showy sops to Republican voters in lieu of passing legislation. They are also a waste of time. History shows us that lying works, our governing liars are rewarded, and accountability is rare or more likely, nonexistent. With accountability not an option, lying is the true path to elected office. The truth doesn’t work and judging by the midterm results, a large percentage of America’s voters don’t care that liars control our country.
December 6, 2022:
Democrats need a new lie for 2023: “it’s not about us.”
What’s a Democrat to do? The party bent to the will of radical progressives and predictably trashed our middle class and working classes. Now fuel, energy, and food are so expensive that Americans who aren’t as wealthy as the Democrats responsible have to make tough choices just to survive.
Our president has better things to do than visit the border and see for himself why our country is swarming with millions of newly-arrived illegal gotaways, migrants, and asylum seekers. The disease of runaway progressivism infected cities and states that bowed to demands for woke criminal justice reform. The result? More crime victims and more dead Americans.
We’re finally seeing proof that Democrats colluded with social media to cover up an explosive story that might have changed the result of the 2020 election and put a fully-functioning leader in the White House instead of a shambling wreck who gets lost at public events and shakes hands with invisible people.
These fruits of unrestrained hubris are not a legacy to be proud of. This is politics, so contrition is not an option. Instead, it’s time for Democrats to test out a new strategy for 2023: it’s not about us.
Incoming House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) put “it’s not about us” to the test on Sunday after being asked about an unflattering remark from Mitch McConnell (R-KY):
SEN. MITCH MCCONNELL (R-KY): The newly elected incoming leader of House Democrats is a past election denier who basically said the 2016 election was, quote, illegitimate, and suggested that we had a, quote, fake president.299
Jeffries response?
Well, you know, it’s unfortunate that Republicans have chosen to focus on me. House Democrats are going to focus on solving problems for the American people.300
There you have it. Of course, we already know what solving problems for the American people means. It’s not good, but Jeffries doubled down anyway:
Well, here’s the Republican playbook, facts don’t matter, hypocrisy is not a constraint to their behavior. And, in many cases, they believe that shamelessness is a superpower.301
“Politician” and “shameless” are synonyms, but I think we can agree that Democrats are convinced lies and gaslighting are the real superpower while they accuse their opponents of the same thing.
Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to demonstrate how important these bulwarks of political dishonesty are when she was asked about the border crisis yesterday:
Instead of going to the border and talking about — you know, about things that — not going to actually deliver and keep our borders safe, why don’t they work with us? Why don’t they actually do something? Why don’t they actually, you know, help the President get the funding that he requested — historic funding to — into homeland — into the Department of Homeland Security? That’s one way of doing that.
But again, they’re playing political games and doing political stunts. It’s not about us. It’s about Republicans not playing ball.302
It’s never going to be about “us.” She didn’t bother to point out that the GOP has been the minority party for the entire Biden administration, that Homeland Security is a politicized wing of the Democrat Party that tells us the border is already secure, or that all the Biden administration had to do to keep our borders safe and secure was nothing because Trump already took care of it.
When the chips are down you play to your strengths. Telling the truth is not a Democrat Party strong point, so rather than admit that they wrecked our country and simultaneously put Americans in danger and in the poor house it’s a better strategy to lie that it has nothing to do with them. Forget that Democrat politicians controlled the House, the Senate, the White House, and our federal agencies for the whole of the Biden administration to date. Not only is nothing bad that happened their fault, if we can believe Nancy Pelosi – and we can’t – we owe Democrats a debt of gratitude:
Democrats can take great pride in the many victories we have achieved for America’s working families over the last two years. As we prepare for the 118th Congress, our House Democratic Caucus remains determined to defend and expand this vital progress: putting People Over Politics to build a future where every family can thrive.303
“It’s not about us because we are great” is the strategy the party will embrace come January 3, 2023. Anyone and anything that brings up the past, points out what a mess Democrats have made of our lives, and suggests that political corruption is very much alive all the way to the top of their party will be distractions from their ongoing success.
Democrats want you to believe that all they care about is you, so ask yourself: if it’s true that what they delivered are victories for the American people, what would they do if they wanted to hurt us? Get together with social media and federal agencies to interfere in the 2024 election to make sure Joe Biden wins again?

As far as Trump is concerned, I wholeheartedly agree. Democrats and sadly, many Republicans are terrified of a leader who won’t play their game of stringing us along, hurting Americans in the process, and doing absolutely nothing to make our country better. Trump got things done and Washington still hates him for showing how worthless and self-interested our elected officials are. The best way for him to end their hate is to be reelected. I wish you were wrong too, Paul, but your comments are spot on. The willingness of the GOP to bend to the will of the Democrat Party is infuriating, including their support of the last omnibus spending package. Democrats know better.
As far as insider trading is concerned, let’s relegate that to the same list as term limits and an earmark ban. The difference between Republicans and Democrats is a lot less than the difference between politicians from either party and the American people. Both know where their money comes from.
