Lies are essential Democrat Party politics. We can’t believe anything we hear. Liars govern America from the lowliest liberal member of the House all the way to the Oval Office.
The lies, misrepresentations, disinformation, and propaganda from Democrats keep coming fast and loose. Here are the most recent updates that showcase the complete lack of honesty from the party hacks who are now in control of America:

What do you call a democracy based on lies spread by habitual liars?
You can’t have a democracy based on feeding lies to the people. Instead, you have an authoritarian system where the people are manipulated by the liars in power. President Biden raised the issue on Tuesday:
We have to ask: Are you on the side of truth or lies; fact or fiction; justice or injustice; democracy or autocracy? That’s what it’s coming down to.1
He is correct, so why is his party and Biden himself so dishonest?
It’s 2021. Democrat Party liars govern America.
We knew the Biden presidency would be an unmitigated disaster, but Democrats are compounding the insult by deceiving the people to make sure they hold on to their popular support no matter how bad it gets. The Democratic leadership has no reason to care if their base doesn’t know the truth so they tell them the lies they want to hear.
House Democrats can’t tell the truth
After the January 6, 2021 “Insurrection” Nancy Pelosi called Capitol Hill a temple of democracy.2 Forget for the moment that it’s only a temple for elitists and not the people our democracy is supposed to be about. If it was, we would have some say in what goes on there and Democrats would not defile our temple by refusing to tell the truth.
This neglect of the truth makes prominent House Democrats worse than anything the left can dream up to criticize Republicans for. There is a fine line between exaggeration, obfuscation, misrepresentation, and falsehoods. Democrats stomped across it in January and never looked back.
House liar-in-chief?
At some point in her downward spiral from public servant to House Liar-in-Chief Speaker Nancy Pelosi decided that Americans don’t deserve the truth:
Every single House Republican voted to defund the Capitol Police.3
This is a lie. Anyone who knows anything about the Republican Party knows it’s a lie. Bullying majority Democrats voted to spend $1.9 billion that includes turning their temple of democracy into a fortress. Republicans won’t agree. That’s not the same thing as defunding the Capitol Police, but this comes from a party that supported demands to defund local police departments throughout the 2020 election cycle and last summer’s Black Lives Matter race riots. Now they need to dispel the truth and get back in the good graces of police unions and voters unfortunate enough to live in deadly Democrat-run cities. Since their agenda is decidedly anti law-enforcement, lies are all they have in their trick bag:
Sadly, these attacks on the courageous officers who defended the Capitol are nothing new. For months, McCarthy and Republicans have attacked the police. They refuse to shake their hands.4
“They refuse to shake their hands” is another lie. There is no “they.” Pelosi is referring to a news story that Georgia Rep. Andrew Clyde did not shake hands with a hospitalized Capitol officer. In fact, according to The Hill the Senate GOP wants emergency funding for the Capitol Police and the National Guard.
The truth didn’t deter Pelosi from claiming that Republicans want to defund local police departments, too.5 That particular lie has been making the rounds and has even been debunked by media outlets including the Washington Post.
Democrats forget 9/11
On the Senate side Dick Durbin (D-IL) inflamed the discourse with a popular Democrat Party falsehood that ignores 9/11 and claims the January 6 riot was the greatest attack on American democracy since the Civil War:
While there should have been 100 votes in the Senate last month for thoroughly investigating the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War, Republican Senators voted against moving to even consider the creation of a bipartisan commission.6
Is Durbin insinuating that attacks on our democracy can only come from the American people, or was he just repeating the president’s words after Biden declared January 6 was:
The worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.7
Democrats recite this with absolutely no respect or regard for the thousands of Americans who died during the worst terrorist attack in American history. Why don’t they include 9/11? Because those 3,000 lives don’t advance the Democrat Party’s cause. Besides, the Civil War opens the door to their anti-American rhetoric about racism. That’s an opportunity too good to pass up.
Are you ignorant? They think you are.
Do the American people realize that lies are policy for Democrats because they have no respect for the intelligence of their base? Remember, these are the same people Vice President Kamala Harris warned would be disenfranchised if they lived in rural America and were tasked with copying their IDs to prove they are eligible to vote.
Perhaps Democrats’ confidence in the innate stupidity of their flock is the reason Pelosi and the House Democratic leadership don’t even make a minimal effort to lie well. Instead, they expect their voters to trust them when they promise:
Our work is not complete until every person is honored with respect, dignity, and justice.8
That’s not a lie per se, even though we know it isn’t true. They certainly don’t treat all Americans with respect unless you regard being called a thief a compliment:
As Republicans throughout the country work night and day to make it harder to vote and easier to steal an election, the time has come to tackle the voter suppression epidemic.9
Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark (D-CT) was at least honest about what these three words represent to Democrats after the Juneteenth National Independence Day became law:
Now, we must follow this action with further progress by protecting voting rights, reimagining policing, and pursuing reparations for African Americans. Our work is not complete until every person is honored with respect, dignity, and justice.10
What respect, dignity, and justice really mean is paying a bribe based on a woke fabrication about racism in America.
A president who lies does not Build Back Better
While his party accuses Republicans of doing what Democrats plan to do with H.R. 1, Biden lied about protecting the “sacred, constitutional right to vote” during a speech at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia:
The 21st century Jim Crow assault is real. It’s unrelenting, and we’re going to challenge it vigorously.11
He compared state legislatures whose actions reflect the will of the people to protect the vote to the Democratic tale of Russian election interference and again suggested that Americans are the threat:
We’ve got to shore up our election system and address the threats of election subversion, not just from abroad — which I spent time with Putin talking about — but from home. From home.12
Falsely portraying Americans as the enemy is a Biden White House mainstay. While this is just a game for Democrats in power who spare no effort at turning Americans against our country they fail to consider that at some point there is no going back. Sooner or later the extremity of their lies and anti-American dialogue will take us to places no American want to go. Democrats repeatedly talk about the civil war. This is where their false propaganda is leading the country.
Kamala Harris is a liar, too
Our habitually snickering vice president shares Pelosi’s problem with the truth:
The President and I are absolutely committed to ensuring that our immigration system is orderly and humane. And I do believe that we are making progress in that regard.13
Perhaps calling this a lie is too harsh? Am I misinterpreting what an orderly, humane immigration system looks like or did Harris never check the numbers? She feinted with “we inherited a tough situation” and then tossed out this whopper:
And in five months, we’ve made progress.14
If the Biden administration’s goal is admitting as many illegals as can cross the border then they have made great progress. This graphic from Customs and Border Protection should help to clarify what progress means to Harris:
CBP just reported a 5% increase in attempted border entries in June 2021 compared to May 2021.15
Criticizing the administration’s disastrous open border policy only elicits charges of xenophobia and racism. Race rules the discourse in Washington no matter what the issue is. Harris takes credit for being the first woman and first black American to be vice president.16 Despite that distinction she also declares:
Black Americans — and Black men, in particular — have been treated, throughout the course of our history, as less than human.17
Yet we also had a black president for eight years, long before the BLM race riots. Now, for better or worse, Harris is ensconced in the vice president’s office.
Biden tells the truth about lying
At least Joe Biden recognizes we are at risk from all the lying:
For, make no mistake, bullies and merchants of fear and peddlers of lies are threatening the very foundation of our country.18
He is correct, so stop it. The American people deserve better, even those who are foolish enough to put liars in charge of our government.
UPDATE July 18, 2021: Jeffries tells the truth?
In a stunning moment of complete honesty Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) told the truth while discussing American Rescue Plan’s child tax credit payments in a CNN interview:
And President Biden and the Democrats were very clear: when we emerge from this pandemic, we’re not going to go back to normal.19
That’s the kind of honesty the American people deserve and expect. The American Rescue Plan’s child tax credit doles out payments to families making up to $150,000 per couple, $112,500 for head of household or $75,000 for single tax filers.20
That’s incredibly generous of Democrats. We’re already on the path to not going back to normal.
Do these families need additional income from the government? It doesn’t matter anymore than it mattered if everyone receiving COVID relief payments was still working. On one hand it makes sense because they money is ours. On the other, the rampant spending of trillions spells disaster down the road. We could use a little more honesty about that and the tax increases we have to assume are in the works to take it all back, but for now kudos to Rep. Jeffries for his honesty. America is not going back to normal if Democrats have anything to say about it.
UPDATE July 25, 2021: rejecting Jordan and Banks makes Pelosi a liar
Whether she is comparing January 6 to the Civil War or the War of 1812, House Liar-in-Chief Nancy Pelosi’s overblown rhetoric adds false gravity to her January 6 anti-Republican witch hunt. This was from her July 23, 2021 “Dear Colleague” press release:
We cannot escape history. We of this Congress and this administration will be remembered in spite of ourselves. No personal significance, or insignificance, can spare one or another of us. The fiery trial through which we pass will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the latest generation.21
No, Pelosi didn’t say that. In a fit of arrogance she resorted to quoting Abraham Lincoln even though the only Civil War on the horizon is the conflict Democrats are hard at work creating.
Pelosi is no Abraham Lincoln. Her goal is much simpler:
Now, our imperative must be to find the truth.22
That would be a noble goal if the truth meant something to the speaker. It doesn’t.
Of the committee’s conduct Pelosi insists:
We must do so in a way that retains the trust of the American people in the proceedings, so that they will have confidence in the truth that emerges.23
How did she go about earning that trust last week? She rejected Republicans Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Jim Banks (R-IN) out of “respect for the integrity of the investigation” and “insistence on the truth.”24
We already know what the results of her committee will be and so does Pelosi. She made those results even more certain by rejecting Jordan and Banks while greenlighting GOP turncoat Liz Cheney (R?-WY) and suggesting that RINO Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R?-IL) might be another worthwhile bipartisan addition. Kinzinger’s views on the commission sound like they were written by Pelosi:
We need a full accounting of what happened on January 6, 2021—we need answers on who was involved in the insurrection and who played a role in orchestrating it. We need transparency and truth.25
Pelosi’s hatred of Donald Trump and her manipulation of her January 6 committee to guarantee a judgment to fit her party’s anti-Republican narrative ensure that truth will have no place in these proceedings. This makes it easier for the speaker to toss out the word “truth” as if it means something. It also allows her to make wholly unsubstantiated remarks like she did in the wake of the Trump-Russia hoax and her two failed impeachment efforts.
Pelosi’s hypocrisy is absolutely stunning as she does exactly what she falsely accused Trump of doing:
Again and again, Trump sells out our American democracy and values to pursue his own political interests.26
When she adds the word “bipartisan” to her commission we all know she is not telling the truth. If Pelosi was honest and really wanted to earn the trust of the American people as she claims she would have accepted Jordan and Banks. Instead, she opted for her own political interests and those of her party.
UPDATE July 26, 2021: Biden administration governs with lies and doesn’t do it well
With all the resources at the Biden administration’s disposal we should expect the lies to be clever or at least believable on occasion. They are not. The White House is not making even a meager attempt to cover up its falsehoods.
The administration knows there is nothing the American people can do about the president’s radical left agenda, so it’s curious why the White House bothers to lie. Most of us know or at least suspect the truth about Biden’s numerous failure, so there isn’t much point to lying.
One example should suffice. When the White House approved Temporary Protected Status for Haitians it added this to the press release:
The TPS designation does not benefit Haitian nationals attempting to enter the United States after May 21, 2021. The United States is continuing to strictly enforce existing immigration laws and border security measures.27
I’m sure if you asked Jen Psaki she would have an explanation about how we are strictly enforcing the law and protecting the border. That would be a lie, too.

As far as Trump is concerned, I wholeheartedly agree. Democrats and sadly, many Republicans are terrified of a leader who won’t play their game of stringing us along, hurting Americans in the process, and doing absolutely nothing to make our country better. I wish you were wrong too, Paul, but your comments are spot on. The willingness of the GOP to bend to the will of the Democrat Party is infuriating, including their support of the last omnibus spending package. Democrats know better.
As far as insider trading is concerned, let’s relegate that to the same list as term limits and an earmark ban. The difference between Republicans and Democrats is a lot less than the difference between politicians from either party and the American people. Both know where their money comes from.
