Democrat leader finally tells the truth about crushing student loan debt.
Desperate for something better than Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to hand to their base, Democrats parroted the phrase “crushing student loan debt” in anticipation of a mass bailout in advance of the 2024 election.
That didn’t happen.
Instead of long-awaited loan forgiveness, the best they can offer is more conspiracy propaganda about a far-right Supreme Court doing the Republican Party’s bidding.
The left’s growing anger with justices that Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) accused of plotting to “implement a fascist agenda” is understandable when you consider how much of our society, government, and institutions are subservient to the Democrat Party. Democrats don’t like being denied. When that happens, they lose their minds and angrily go off a rhetorical deep end that betrays what they really believe.
Contemporary Democrats view personal responsibility as a liability to be circumvented by the government. That can mean forgiving crime, canceling interest on unpaid child support, giving handouts to illegal immigrants who circumvent U.S. law, or bailing out college loan recipients who signed on the dotted line to receive their education.
There is precedent for encouraging Americans to be irresponsible. The COVID-19 pandemic was an opportunity for the party to hatch a plan to cancel rent and mortgage payments while their state and local public officials shut down businesses and schools and made it impossible for many Americans to work:
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) introduced the Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act, a bill to institute a nationwide cancellation of rents and home mortgage payments through the duration of the coronavirus pandemic. The bill would constitute a full payment forgiveness, with no accumulation of debt for renters or homeowners and no negative impact on their credit rating or rental history. 453
That bit of left-wing crazy never went anywhere and Democrats never accepted responsibility for what they did to America’s economy when they enjoyed the power to do whatever they wanted. The results were predictable. The pandemic is over, but handouts are still on the agenda.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) followed up Bush’s anti-SCOTUS vitriol with a telling argument in favor of bailing out “tens of millions of Americans who are suffering under the crushing weight of student loan debt.”454 He cites the “devastating consequences”455 of the Biden v. Nebraska decision, as if the borrowers are innocent bystanders who received nothing in return for their loans.
He laid the president’s offer on the table:
In August 2022, President Biden sought to ease this burden by canceling $10,000 of student debt for most borrowers and up to $20,000 of debt for Pell Grant recipients — the vast majority of whom come from families making $40,000 or less. This relief would provide a lifeline for millions of working class Americans.456
Then we got a little unexpected honesty. Jeffries finally admitted the truth about why student loan debt is such a problem. It turns out that paying back your loan is an impediment to accumulating more debt:
Americans across the country are struggling to purchase a home, start a family, begin a small business and save for retirement because they are saddled with tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt. The extreme, right-wing Supreme Court decision puts an anchor around the aspirations of millions of young Americans.457
It’s absurd to suggest that dumping $10,000 – $20,000 of student loan debt will suddenly make home ownership possible for families making $40,000 or less, especially if the borrowers are not currently making their loan payments.
That absurdity pales in comparison to asking student loan borrowers to depend on taxpayers to bail them out to pursue other financial aspirations and incur more debt.
The Biden administration already penalized Americans with good credit by forcing them to help defray mortgage costs for borrowers with lesser scores. Teaching Americans to be irresponsible by punishing those who are is not a recipe for success for anyone except politicians seeking votes and dependents.
We owe our gratitude to Supreme Court justices who drew a line in the sand and protected us from the likes of Biden and Jeffries. Their dishonesty shrouds partisan political goals as essential policies to save Americans from crushing debt, but if we can believe Jeffries the goal is just more loans and more debt and more Americans depending on Democrats to bail them out.

100% confidence Democrats will call new ACE Act to protect our elections racist.
House Republicans just took a stand for free, fair, and honest elections with yesterday’s rollout of the American Confidence in Elections Act:
The most conservative election bill to be seriously considered in the House in a generation.458
Rep. Bryan Steil (R-WI) introduced the legislation after a 2022 ACE Act failed in the Democrat-controlled House:
The American Confidence in Elections (ACE) Act is a federalist approach to boost voter confidence and encourage states to implement common-sense election integrity reforms by removing federal policies that stand in their way.459
The 2023 ACE Act’s focus on the integrity of the vote will infuriate a Democrat machine that views elections as a private playground to secure power for the party at any cost and through all means necessary.
Democrats own the vote. Truth and dissent will not be tolerated.
Any cost and all means included censoring news of the Hunter Biden laptop during the 2020 presidential election and spreading the hoax of Trump-Russia collusion in the wake of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 failure. Conservative voices who questioned the integrity of the 2020 vote were attacked, censored, and deplatformed. Democrats own the vote and they do not tolerate free speech and dissent.
With Republican ownership of the House and Oversight Committee revelations about the extent of the Democrat Party’s election information manipulation, the free speech protections in this legislation are just icing on the cake and a much-needed congressional response to authoritarian control of the vote by Big Tech, our leftist mass media, and Democrats at all levels of government.
The ACE Act has three principles. So do Democrats.
The ACE Act is based on three principles:
States have the primary role in establishing election law and administering elections.
All eligible American voters must be able to vote, and all lawful votes must be counted.
Political speech is protected speech and all voices must be protected.
Democrats also have three principles for elections:
Democrats have the primary role in establishing election law and administering elections.
Everyone living in America can vote if they vote for Democrats. Harvesting and counting ballots is the job of the Democratic machine.
Political speech must focus on electing Democrats. Dissenting voices must be censored and silenced.
Like any and all efforts to protect the sanctity of U.S. elections, the ACE Act is going to be propagandized as a racist denial of minority voting rights right out of the gate. Are Democrats lying again, or did Biden make assault weapon violence worse?
Yesterday, White House officials held a get together to promote the Democrat Party’s demand for an assault weapons ban:
Today, senior White House officials met with more than 20 law enforcement leaders from across the country to discuss how to build additional law enforcement support for an assault weapons and high-capacity magazine ban and other commonsense legislation to reduce gun violence.461
This is a big 2024 election priority for the party, which is focused on scoring this win against Republicans over long guns instead of addressing the shootings in blue cities they prefer to ignore, perhaps because they don’t impact the wealthy liberals who make big donations to their coffers and contradict the narrative that white, conservative nationalists are what we should fear.
Americans have been lied to so many times by Democrats that we are forced to reject everything we are told until we can prove the truth. Partisanship is more important than being honest. This will get progressively worse as the 2024 election cycle heats up.
The White House implies that assault weapon violence is a rampant, nationwide scourge:
Law enforcement leaders discussed how officers all across the country are being outgunned by criminals armed with assault weapons and how those weapons of war grievously injure our children, neighbors, and community members.462
FBI figures from 2019 don’t agree. Over half – 6,368 – of the 10,258 murder victims killed with a firearm in 2019 were killed by handguns. 364 died by rifle fire, 200 by shotguns, 45 by “other guns,” and 3,281 by unspecified firearms.463
For comparison’s sake, 1,476 people fell victim to a knife or “cutting instrument.” Is cutlery next on the Democrat Party’s chopping block?
The National Institute of Justice found that through 2019 only one-quarter of mass shootings involved assault rifles:
Notably, most individuals who engaged in mass shootings used handguns (77.2%), and 25.1% used assault rifles in the commission of their crimes.464
Five of the 12 law enforcement attendees at the meeting were from blue state California. Curiously, there was not a single representative from Chicago, Illinois where Democrats and Governor J.B. Pritzker are applauding this week’s state Supreme Court approval of their historic no cash bail law that takes effect in September. Keep this in mind if you plan to travel to the Windy City this fall.
Do the numbers show that Biden made assault weapon violence worse?
Federal data always lags, but what we know from the FBI is sufficient to question what we’re hearing from the Biden White House. Did assault weapon violence suddenly get worse when Trump left office, or are we being deceived again at the behest of the man who knows absolutely nothing about his son’s business dealings and a political party that lied to us about Trump and Russia and censored 2020 election information to help guarantee victory?
Lying aside, there is an even more troubling question. If what the White House claims is true and assault weapon violence is rampant, what is it about our great, unifying president that makes our nation so angry and murderous?

As far as Trump is concerned, I wholeheartedly agree. I wish you were wrong too, Paul, but your comments are spot on. The willingness of the GOP to bend to the will of the Democrat Party is infuriating, including their support of the last omnibus spending package. Democrats know better.
As far as insider trading is concerned, let’s relegate that to the same list as term limits and an earmark ban. The difference between Republicans and Democrats is a lot less than the difference between politicians from either party and the American people. Both know where their money comes from.
