Immigration

In the immigration category you will find posts about the failure of our government to enforce the law and the consequences of doing nothing while holding out for a sweeping immigration amnesty juggernaut that Democrats and Republicans will never be able to agree on.

Federal Government spends while Biden lures illegals over the border

Few things showcase the insanity of our partisan immigration policies better than the Biden administration's wide open border that hands America to anyone who makes the journey. Meanwhile, states and sanctuary cities pass out driver's licenses for illegals,, resident college tuition and financial aid, and assurances of protection from law enforcement that promise a better life in America funded by taxpayers.

Fairness, justice, and hypocrisy

Immigration reform is not about fairness or justice. If it was, we would not be arguing over welfare for illegals or protecting Americans with legislation like Kate’s Law and bills to reign in dangerous immigrants. This contentious issue has turned into a debate over opposites: how much can the left dole out to curry favor with immigrant special interests and how much of the right’s push to close our gates is just?

Protests Over ICE Raids Prove U.S. is Mexican Welfare

Why do we have protests over ICE raids? ICE and Mexican officials deport kidnapper back to Mexico. Courtesy of ICE.

What could be worse than millions of demanding foreigners who ignore our laws, protest how we enforce them, and refuse to leave? How about American citizens and government officials who stand with them? Protests over ICE raids rounding up criminal illegals make a very disheartening statement about where our citizens place their loyalty. Protests over ICE raids: crime is … [Read more...] about Protests Over ICE Raids Prove U.S. is Mexican Welfare

No Jobs, No Food Means Fewer Illegals to Deport

When it comes to political predicaments it’s hard to top having to please everyone on immigration. The obvious solution is to do nothing. That hasn't worked so well and is a damned no matter what you do scenario. Short of deporting every last illegal by the end of January, Trump will have a hard time pleasing hard liners. Even taking the middle road won’t be good enough for the … [Read more...] about No Jobs, No Food Means Fewer Illegals to Deport

Snipers, Sharpshooters, and Mines, or a Border Wall?

September 2, 2016 by Bob Prokop Leave a Comment

Author's note March 30, 2021: when I wrote the last update to this post on January 13, 2020 Donald Trump was still our president. A little over a year later the situation at our border with Mexico is catastrophic. Credit Joe Biden's radical left anti-sovereignty policies and the expected surge of illegal immigrants Democrats assume will be their future voters. Today's … [Read more...] about Snipers, Sharpshooters, and Mines, or a Border Wall?

Mexico and Central America are invading the U.S. thanks to the generous misuse of your tax dollars. Federal help has made being illegal in America easier and better than ever. If you come here and want to stay, chances are you can do it. If you want the government to lend a helping hand, chances are it will. The border surge of child migrants from Central America shifted our … [Read more...] about Being Illegal is Easier, Safer, and Better Than Ever

Is Stealing From the Government a Crime? It Depends.

March 29, 2016 by Bob Prokop Leave a Comment

ICE's Operation Bullfighter: 19 arrests for drug trafficking, money laundering.

Stealing from the government used to be a crime. We called it “fraud.” There were all sorts of ways people defrauded the government. They took advantage of welfare benefits, tax and securities regulations, health care entitlements, and a multitude of other laws and programs ripe for abuse. What changed? Now we have a gray area. Let’s call it “allowable fraud.” Left-wing … [Read more...] about Is Stealing From the Government a Crime? It Depends.
