Immigration

In the immigration category you will find posts about the failure of our government to enforce the law and the consequences of doing nothing while holding out for a sweeping immigration amnesty juggernaut that Democrats and Republicans will never be able to agree on.

Federal Government spends while Biden lures illegals over the border

Few things showcase the insanity of our partisan immigration policies better than the Biden administration's wide open border that hands America to anyone who makes the journey. Meanwhile, states and sanctuary cities pass out driver's licenses for illegals,, resident college tuition and financial aid, and assurances of protection from law enforcement that promise a better life in America funded by taxpayers.

Fairness, justice, and hypocrisy

Immigration reform is not about fairness or justice. If it was, we would not be arguing over welfare for illegals or protecting Americans with legislation like Kate’s Law and bills to reign in dangerous immigrants. This contentious issue has turned into a debate over opposites: how much can the left dole out to curry favor with immigrant special interests and how much of the right’s push to close our gates is just?

RAC Act: Republican Amnesty for Children is Still Wrong

Family at the border. Is RAC Act the solution? Customs and Border Protection photo.

At first I thought the Recognizing America’s Children Act (“RAC”) was a Democratic ploy to keep DACA alive in case President Trump and Jeff Sessions turned their attention to deferred action. Not so. H.R. 1468 is a GOP creation. It’s what a Republican amnesty bill looks like. The RAC Act reads a lot like DACA and has something in common: it talks about children but the people … [Read more...] about RAC Act: Republican Amnesty for Children is Still Wrong

Illegal Reentry: Deported Aliens Can’t Be Kept Out?

Is there a better reason to build a border wall than the data on illegal reentry of deported aliens? The numbers are going down, but that didn't stop 15,744 individuals from being convicted of illegal reentry in 2016. 97.7% were sentenced to prison for an average of 14 months.1 We can’t stop deported aliens from coming back to the U.S. That means taxpayers are punished for … [Read more...] about Illegal Reentry: Deported Aliens Can’t Be Kept Out?

De Rayos Deported While America Welcomes New Citizens

February 27, 2017 by Bob Prokop Leave a Comment

How much abuse of a government system we rely on should we tolerate before we finally say no? We got an answer earlier this month when Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos was finally deported for a crime committed years before. If you are a Democrat money grows on taxpayer trees. When problems that impact citizens conflict with issues like immigration the hot button usually wins. … [Read more...] about De Rayos Deported While America Welcomes New Citizens

Kicking Out the Democratic Party With Trump’s New Order

It took eight years and a few weeks. It seemed much longer. At long last we have the immigration order we want. This one isn’t another White House excuse like prosecutorial discretion. It’s not a weepy nod to children in their twenties brought here through no fault of their own or another trick to allow their parents to stay. It’s the real deal. Not only that, we can feel like … [Read more...] about Kicking Out the Democratic Party With Trump’s New Order

Boycott Immigrants Who Provide No Value to Our Economy

A worker that will never boycott your business. Courtesy NASA/KSC.

I go to work every day. My job is important to me. Could my company get along without me? Of course. Anyone can be replaced, but it would never occur to me to boycott my employer because of my political convictions. Boycotting your job to prove your worth is a good sign that you don’t value what you do and aren’t offering much to the economy. Don’t confuse value with … [Read more...] about Boycott Immigrants Who Provide No Value to Our Economy
