Stopping Bigotry Starts Religious War Democrats Want

Get out your dictionary and look up the meaning of bigotry. Intolerance, not race or religion, is what bigotry is all about. There is nothing in the definition to imply that liberal politics makes intolerance acceptable.

How many signs have been displayed by anti-Trump protesters demonstrating against bigotry? Democratic dissidents are so fixated on despising everything about the president that they are blind to their own bigoted hypocrisy. They believe that intolerance for anyone who doesn’t fall in line is perfectly acceptable. It even gives them a reason to touch off the Muslim religious war Democrats so badly need.

Liberal haters are bigots

Conservative Americans became deplorable. Now bigotry is back in style. It can be found in much of what we hear from liberal dissidents. Trying to shame the nation by accusing conservatives of discriminating is all they have left.

Is there a better way for Democrats to reinvent themselves than by starting a religious war they can pin on the person they hate most and those of us who elected him? After the cascade of intolerance that followed Trump’s election nothing should surprise us, even a sneaky effort by liberal politicians to turn the president’s travel restrictions into a ban on Muslims.

Democratic bigotry will start a religious war

California Congressman Ted Lieu epitomized dissident rhetoric when he blamed America’s “Muslim Ban” on bigotry:1

Our president and campaign made statements that were bigoted. He has now taken actions based on bigotry, which leads me to conclude that the American president is a bigot. I’m not proud to say that, but is it important for people to call it what it is, and then do protests.”2

President Trump didn’t call his executive action a Muslim travel ban. In fact, the word “Muslim” is not in his order.3 A “Muslim ban” and the implication of anti-Islamic federal policy is a Democratic creation born of bigoted intolerance towards Republicans, pure and simple.

Another example? Representative Lacy Clay (D-MO) helped spread the word on what he described as a “religious-based Muslim travel ban:”

President Trump’s Muslim travel ban and complete ban on admitting refugees is not only illegal, it’s un-American, mean-spirited, and will harm national security.4

Democrats, liberal haters, and dissidents wanted Trump to touch off an anti-Muslim religious feud. Just like the propaganda about Mexicans spread during the presidential campaign, they are warning of a problem and manipulating the public to make sure that it comes true.

Liberal bigotry over Muslims?

The hate crime trend is down, yet Democrats felt it necessary to pass a resolution at the end of last year “condemning violence, bigotry, and hateful rhetoric towards Muslims.”5 Besides nonsensical language about rights the law already protects, Virginia Democratic Congressman Donald Beyer’s resolution:

reaffirms the inalienable right of every citizen to live without fear and intimidation, and to practice their freedom of faith.6

That hasn’t worked out so well for Americans who anger Democrats by supporting the president. Just ask anyone who wanted to attend the inauguration and was intimidated by angry, violent liberals. If there were anti-Muslim demonstrators doing the same thing at airports or mosques, would we tolerate it?

Religious war is the best weapon left

With little weight to throw around the House chambers, Democrats have turned to condemning all manner of bigotry and discrimination including the “International Basketball Federation’s Discriminatory Policy on Sikh Players” and the “White House Exclusion of Jewish People from Holocaust Statement.”7

I don’t know how many Sikh basketball players there are or how big of a problem discriminating against them is. Trying to blame Trump for anti-Semitism is a ridiculous stretch. Did everyone forget Obama’s parting swipe at Israel in the UN? How about the ballistic missile tests that are happening despite the anti-nuke deal that Netanyahu opposed?

It just goes to show how in the midst of defeat some dreams can still come true. Who would have thought a Muslim religious war could be so useful to the party famous for fighting bigotry and discrimination?
