Election denial is out of fashion. Democrats beat their dead horse of election theft too many times to have any credibility. Besides, the only stolen elections were the ones they lost. Trump’s overwhelming victory spared them the embarrassment of dragging this old, tired carcass out of their trick bag. Harris was defeated fair and square, but don’t think this means an organized rebellion isn’t in the works.
Everything the left threw at the former president failed. The full weight of the left’s judicial system, lies, hoaxes, an FBI raid, even an assassin’s bullet made Trump stronger. Now Democrats are back where they left off after two sham impeachments went down in flames as badly as Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign.
Taking away democracy from voters by swapping stunningly awful Harris for cognitively challenged Joe Biden didn’t do them any favors. They’ve lost the Senate. Yesterday the GOP sealed its House majority. Trump is headed for the White House. Democrats are losing their minds.
Now what?
As the Wicked Witch of the West so aptly put it, these things must be done delicately. How can party members deny last week’s free, fair, and uncontested presidential election without looking worse than they already do?
How about a nonviolent insurrection to protect democracy?
The Constitution doesn’t define insurrection. The term implies violence, but is it necessary if the outcome is the same? It’s safe to say that insurrection implies rebelling against the government and its authority.
The Democrat Party’s well-oiled machine is more than capable of organizing a nonviolent insurrection, mass civil disobedience, unarmed rebellion, peaceful revolution, or presidential candidate coup. It can even incite violent protests and worse, but unlike their George Floyd riots this time Democrats are not hiding in the shadows. They are candid and upfront about their plans to obstruct and rebel against the authority of America’s constitutionally-established executive branch.
As if we’ve forgotten the Biden-Harris election swap scam, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and Colorado Governor Jared Polis still believe they can dupe Americans into believing that democracy isn’t an avoidable hindrance to progressivism.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Pritzker and Polis created Governors Safeguarding Democracy to combat rising “threats of autocracy.”1 I suppose this sounds better than blasting conservative garbage for electing Hitler, but let’s face it. Democrat machinations to deny their primary voters a voice in a consequential presidential election had nothing to do with safeguarding democracy and everything to do with the liberal autocracy overseen by Pritzker, Polis, California Governor Gavin Newsome, and their ilk.
The governors promise collaboration that will “leverage the collective strength” of states to “protect the rule of law and serve the people of our great states.”2 As the Washington Examiner points out, these people include illegals that have cost Illinois residents nearly $3 billion since 2022.3
They don’t say how obstructing a president and protecting illegals, many of whom are dangerous criminals, serves anyone except themselves and their personal ambitions. More about that in a moment.
According to Illinois’ governor:
At this critical moment in our history, we must unite to protect the foundations of our democracy and ensure our institutions withstand threats and persevere in their mission to improve the lives of our people,” said Illinois Governor and GSD Co-Chair J.B. Pritzker.4
While propagandizing progressive chaos may further his political goals, Pritzker didn’t say how unchecked crime and killing in his state’s largest city, crushing debt, high taxes, and forcing taxpayers to support illegals so he can take credit improves our lives. He fails to draw a distinction between the alleged threat of autocracy from Trump and his own autocratic record of closing schools, shutting down businesses, mandating vaccination, and forcing residents to cover their faces during the COVID pandemic.
According to Fox 32 Chicago, the Illinois legislature’s Democratic supermajority also plans to “counter the incoming Trump presidency.”5 Meanwhile, on the other side of the country Gavin Newsom vows to “Trump-proof” a state that suffers from the same progressive pain as Illinois: crime, illegals, and massive debt dumped on residents by politicians who, like Biden and Harris, value progressive orthodoxy more than the needs of the people.
Governors Safeguarding Democracy is worse than Democrats’ January 6th Insurrection
The final report of Speaker Pelosi’s January 6th anti-Trump tribunal concluded:
To cast a vote in the United States of America is an act of both hope and faith. When you drop that ballot in the ballot box, you do so with the confidence that every person named on that ballot will hold up their end of the bargain. The person who wins must swear an oath and live up to it. The people who come up short must accept the ultimate results and abide by the will of the voters and the rule of law. This faith in our institutions and laws is what upholds our democracy.
If that faith is broken—if those who seek power accept only the results of elections that they win—then American democracy, only a few centuries old, comes tumbling down.
That’s the danger. 6
I’d like to hear an explanation from Pelosi and Obama how denying the will of Democrat primary voters doesn’t permanently damage our faith in what they call democracy and cause it to come tumbling down. Those denied power by Trump’s win don’t accept the people’s democratically elected president, either. Election denial is not an option. Obstruction and rebellion are the answers.
The committee asks:
What’s the solution?7
Governors Safeguarding Democracy is not it.
The January 6 riot was over and done with in less than a day. Democrats continue to make false claims about the impact of their self-styled insurrection while they ignore their own obvious disavowal of democracy during the 2024 election.
Chicago is a veritable hellhole of crime and violence and killing running a $1 billion deficit, so it’s unclear just what Pritzker is protecting. I suspect it has something to do with his own future as he seeks a scapegoat for the wreckage he oversees in the Land of Lincoln.
Unlike the disorganized, chaotic January 6 mayhem, Pritzker and Polis’ Governors Safeguarding Democracy advocates organized interstate obstruction of America’s president by state governments to enforce damaging and dangerous progressive policies we the people voted against. What happens in one state impacts all states, so this isn’t just about blue strongholds. As we’ve heard many times during the reign of Biden and Harris, every state is now a border state. This makes Pritzker and Polis’ plan worse than the one-day Capitol Riot and a much greater threat to our democracy and the Constitution Pritzker promised to protect the day he took office:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm, as the case may be,) that I will support the constitution of the United States, and the constitution of the state of Illinois, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of …. according to the best of my ability.”8
