UPDATE December 31, 2020: freedom from Joe Biden, Part I
The Constitution’s separation of powers won’t be needed next year
James Madison warned us:
The accumulation of all powers legislative, executive and judiciary in the same hands, whether of one, a few or many, and whether hereditary, self appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.60
After four years of Democrats slamming Trump’s allegedly authoritarian abuse of power Joe Biden is said to be lining up his executive orders. He knows the Senate is a crapshoot. Whoever is telling this poor, hapless has-been what to do isn’t taking any chances.
Precisely what Biden plans is up in the air. The Build Back Better transition site doesn’t offer details but promises that on Day One the new White House will “meet these challenges:”
a pandemic, an economic crisis, calls for racial justice, and climate change. 61
That a pretty tall order. Does Biden plan to get Congress involved?
There won’t be time for that. Our legislature doesn’t move fast enough and if Republicans win Georgia’s contested Senate seats the new president can forget about Capitol Hill greenlighting his supporters’ brand of far left extremism.
That means Biden will do the same thing that Donald Trump did when Congress failed to agree. He is going to bypass the legislature with executive orders.
When Trump did this he was called an autocrat and a dictator. Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) blamed his actions on conservative voters “Bowing to Tyranny:”
The voice that matters most now belongs to November’s voters who will decide if Trump may continue to act as the unaccountable, self-serving tyrant he aspires to be.62
Now we hear from his complicit media that Biden plans a slew of orders as soon as he steps into the Oval Office. No matter what he does he will be called a hero for reinstating our values by circumventing Congress.
These aren’t “our” values and most of us know that. These are the values of the big money behind Biden and presidential hopeful Harris.
Don’t expect a lot of one on one transparency from a president whose appearances must be an absolute nightmare for his handlers. The shorter the better and as few words as possible will be the order of the day.
We’ve heard about orders to cancel the Democrat-titled “Muslim travel ban,” to open the door for illegal Dreamers, to back WHO despite serious questions about collusion with China over the coronavirus. Biden will no doubt pander to the climate hysteria set by rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement.
Questions linger about reinstating Obama’s Iran nuclear deal, but since doing the opposite of everything Trump did is the order of the day we have to assume that nation is eager for Biden to take over and do the wrong thing.
Too bad for America that partisanship dictates what separation of powers means. Obama was a genius at executive overreach. Biden is mirroring that administration so we should expect the same thing from him. Unlike Trump he won’t be called a dictator. He’ll be celebrated as a visionary and a hero for ignoring our constitutionally mandated separation of powers.
UPDATE January 2, 2021: freedom from Joe Biden, Part II
This man can’t possible be our next president, so what is he?
Americans have had nearly 50 years of Joe Biden’s political career. Isn’t that enough?
It’s obvious to most of us that he’s just a foot in the door for the Democratic Party. Certainly Biden is not a president we should take seriously. Every time he opens his mouth we’ll ask the same question: who and what are really behind our president and what he just said?
We didn’t have that problem with Donald Trump. Republicans knew Trump was his own man. Democrats knew that either white supremacists or Vladimir Putin were controlling his every move. There was never a question. They were lying. We knew that, too.
Come January 20, 2021 we won’t know who is in charge because it can’t possibly be Joe Biden.
That this man is the best thing Democrats could come up with after four years of weeping, moaning, and pointless effort directed at removing Trump would indicate they had something better in mind.
Biden can’t be it. He got lucky thanks to an overwhelming Democratic propaganda machine and Republicans’ half-hearted support for the man that offered their party a future. His election or theft, depending on who you talk to, still doesn’t explain what’s in a Biden presidency for Democrats. Was he the safe choice for dinosaurs like Schumer and Pelosi or is he the unassuming, hands off front man for the extreme left wing of the party and smirking VP-elect Kamala Harris, who seems to be in on a joke the country hasn’t heard yet.
We’d like to hear it and the sooner the better. Whatever that joke is it’s going to be at America’s expense.
UPDATE January 6, 2021: freedom to love America
I’ve mentioned before that Joe Biden has a very non-presidential habit of not blessing America at the end of his speeches including his November 9, 2020 acceptance. He blesses the people but not our country.
Why?
Until now we’ve never questioned Americans who love America. Biden, Harris, and their party changed that. It’s absolutely essential to the radical agenda increasingly embraced by Democrats that we not only refuse to love America, but that we condemn everything about it so they can justify their destructive plans to rebuild our nation in their own flawed image.
Self-hate is never productive. At its worst it leads to suicide, which is where America is headed. The things we value that led to our greatness are on the chopping block: free market capitalism, a society that does its best not to judge people by their color, and being part of an independent nation that doesn’t follow the lead of others or bow to competitors and adversaries because we don’t have the strength of will to voice objection or mount an offense.
Our love for America is about to be wiped away as we reinterpret history, ban children from the classroom, and restructure our government and society to ensure power for the Democratic Party for generations to come.
Joe Biden won’t outwardly disavow his party’s love for the American people. After all, voters put him in charge so some modicum of appreciation is due. Just don’t look for the same kind of embrace of our nation’s greatness that we enjoyed from Donald Trump. That’s gone now. Democrats will do everything in their power to make sure it doesn’t return.
January 15, 2021: freedom from propaganda and falsehoods from our government
10:02 a.m.: It’s been a little over a week since Joe Biden’s inflammatory remarks comparing two Republican senators to Nazi Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels. Democrats didn’t voice any offense to what he said. Now we’re hearing unsubstantiated claims and outright falsehoods coming from Democratic Party lawmakers about what took place on January 6, 2021 as they build their own propaganda that will open the door to clamp down on our freedoms for everything from First Amendment free speech to the simple right to be left alone by our government.
If one freedom defines America it’s the right to simply lives our lives unmolested by Washington. That freedom took a tremendous hit last year thanks to the coronavirus. Democratic officials saw their chance and they took it. In time we got used to the restrictions on our freedom even when it intruded on the visitors we were permitted to have in our own homes. It was all for a good cause. We told ourselves we were saving lives even while the virus exploded and the death toll grew exponentially.
The COVID restrictions are inconsequential compared to what could come next.
The Federalist reports that extreme left Squadist AOC is pushing benign-sounding “media literacy” policies to limit free speech in the name of stamping out disinformation.63
When one party controls what information is legitimate and what constitutes disinformation, propaganda, or sedition we’re in big trouble, especially with the addition of massive technology firms that can moderate what Americans are permitted to believe.
We’re also hearing increasing threats to pursue anyone who may have been involved in last week’s Capitol intrusion. This includes allegations from Democrats of complicit Republican lawmakers who enjoy very slim leads in the House and Senate and might consider a McCarthy-style witch hunt a very appealing follow-up to their failed Trump-Russian conspiracy dialogue.
Was this a white supremacist attack led by Trump?
What started as an insurrection at our Capitol was called a “white supremacist attack on the United States Capitol” by Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA).64 Vague threats demanding accountability and targeting GOP lawmakers are spreading:
Wednesday was one of the darkest days in our nation’s history, the culmination of our founders’ darkest fears, in which a president led an attack against our own government, aided and abetted by the dangerous rhetoric and actions of members of Congress, and carried out by a mob convinced that their actions were justified because the president lied to them.66
That came from Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA). Her claim that the “president led an attack against our own government” is no more true than Pressley’s insinuation, but truth will be of no consequence here any more than it mattered when our president was accused of being a Russian confederate.
Big tech, the mass media, and the Democratic Party are colluding to control what we believe. There will be penalties for non-compliance and reinterpretations of scary words like “sedition” and “treason.” The rhetoric is just getting started but don’t expect it to slow down any time soon. The propaganda war is just the beginning of what’s to come.
5:50 p.m.: Today Nancy Pelosi also repeated the as yet unproven claim that what happened January 6 was an act of white supremacy. During a press conference today she spoke of one of the rioters seen on video:
To see this punk with that shirt on and his anti Semitism that he has bragged about to be part of a white supremacist raid on this Capitol requires us to have an after action review, to assign responsibility to those who were part of organizing it and incentivizing it.67
There’s a difference between white supremacists participating in the attack and white supremacists organizing and orchestrating what took place, but what’s really disturbing is Pelosi’s threat directed at those “incentivizing” the violence. White supremacy is one of the best things the speaker and her party have going for them. They repeated these two words as many times as possible throughout Trump’s four years in office knowing it would resonate with their base no matter how baseless their claims about the president. Now they are redoubling their efforts by crafting an excuse to do everything from going after Republicans lawmakers to violating privacy rights to restricting free speech to funding a national witch hunt all in the name of stopping the threat of white supremacy.
If there is something Americans should fear it’s Pelosi and congressional Democrats.
UPDATE January 18, 2021: freedom from science
Good lord, I’m tired of hearing Democrats preach about science. I haven’t decided if their obsession with the glories of science is a veiled attack on religion or an attempt to trick us into swallowing trillions in Green New Deal climate change spending.
I’m leaning towards the latter explanation after Kamala Harris talked about science on Friday. She tends to ramble and likes to tell stories about her childhood. After we heard about cleaning pipettes in her mother’s lab when she was a little girl she informed us that the science behind the coronavirus is not partisan. I would argue that this depends on who the science is coming from, but no matter. Her point is well taken. COVID-19 science isn’t political. Let’s ignore the fact that politicians like Harris made it so and get back to reveling in the wonders of science.
Harris made us a promise:
And President-elect Biden and I will not only listen to science, we will invest in it so we can achieve breakthroughs — from strengthening public health to tackling climate change to jump starting job-creation and economic growth.68
I’m not sure what science has to do with job creation and economic growth. Most of us turn to economics for this sort of thing. Economics does a much better job of explaining financial ruin. We’re about to experience that thanks to Harris and her party’s plans to inflict their love of science on the economy. When it’s all over we should have a contest to see what explains our soaring national debt and deficit better, molecular biology or Economics 101. I’m not betting on science, thanks.

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.

Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it
Bob says
We’ll find out next week how well people are paying attention, won’t we, Sandy? I agree, it’s pretty amazing that no matter how bad things are or how misguided the actions of public officials, they still manage to convince people to support what they do. Watch what happens in the Illinois governor’s race next week. If Pat Quinn wins, it’s a pretty good sign that we are truly lost.
Ed M says
freedom from harm is not a reasonable freedom. Freedom from unjust aggression is reasonable, and the primary reason for government.
Bob Prokop says
Thanks for your remarks, Ed. Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.
Diane McGuinness says
Obama signed a bill to allow the media to profess false narratives for the peoples ow good HR4310
Scott says
Joseph Goebbels would be so proud.
Bob Prokop says
I don’t know if the intention was to turn lies into the sole means of communicating with the people to the complete exclusion of the truth, but it has certainly paid off for Democrats and the White House.
John Ille says
Wow, the RWNJ is strong with this one.
Bob Prokop says
I’m listening, John.
