Jesus taught that truth is freedom. Harris hates that.
It’s a safe bet that the 2024 election set a record for the number of lies told during a presidential campaign. Politicians tend to be amnestic about the truth, especially when their record is not something to be proud of. Neither Trump nor Harris can claim 100% fealty to facts, but there is a difference between their approaches.
Trump exaggerates. He runs his mouth, inflates past successes, and makes wild statements that are obviously not meant to be taken literally. This trait does not always serve him well. Many of us wish he would apply some filters to what he says. The DNC’s panting, sycophantic media outlets sit in wait like so many obedient dogs, hoping he will say something they can distort out of context like his recent remark about Liz Cheney and war hawks who send our troops into battle.
Unlike Trump’s hyperbolic statements, Kamala Harris is a bald-faced liar. Period. Her statements are not hyperbole. They are not exaggerations. They are blatant, damaging falsehoods meant to be taken literally and accepted as fact whether it’s Trump Project 2025, Trump Abortion Bans, a Trump National Sales Tax, Trump’s fascistic infatuation with Hitler, or any of the other lies she recites on the campaign trail. Harris depends on the willingness of her supporters to accept anything she says knowing her media todies will stand behind her and turn everything uttered by Trump in a threat, like his electric vehicle ‘bloodbath’ statement Joe Biden reduced to two words during a joint campaign appearance with the vice president:
Trump says if he loses again in November, there will be, quote, “a bloodbath.” What in the hell is going on here?526
Tucker Carlson may be the only conservative the left fears and despises more than Trump. This made yesterday’s interview with the former president cannon fodder for a pro-Harris media assault. The nation heard that Trump put out a veritable contract on Harris’s new Trump-hating buddy Liz Cheney. CNN announced “Trump says ‘war hawk’ Liz Cheney should be fired upon in escalation of violent rhetoric against his opponents.”527
Finally, the Harris campaign had an issue to counter Biden’s garbage scandal and Mark Cuban’s unfortunate opining that conservative women are less than brilliant.

I am not a Bible scholar by any means and admit to being surprised to find that “the truth will set you free” came from John 8:32. At the risk of being accused of white Christian nationalism:
The truth will not make Harris voters free because they don’t know it and won’t hear it. Instead, they are handed ridiculous accusations meant to instill fear because their candidate assumes they don’t know any better:
And then, even worse, he has increased his violent rhetoric — Donald Trump has — about political opponents and, in great detail — in great detail, suggested rifles should be “trained” on former Representative Liz Cheney.528
Harris claims “This must be disqualifying.”529 She has no children of her own, so perhaps that’s why she doesn’t comprehend the intent of Trump’s message. If she wins the presidency, Americans who do have draft-age children have every reason to be afraid that her obvious incompetence and inability to make a simple statement we can understand puts their kids at risk at the hands of war hawks like former Rep. Cheney.
Freedom from the truth is on the 2024 ballot
Harris supporters with children should remember how their candidate helped financially empower Iran and then tried to shackle Israel’s response after the October 7, 2023 genocide. They should recall the relative peace we enjoyed during Trump’s presidency that Harris and Biden quickly turned into a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, renewed threats of Chinese aggression in the Indo-Pacific, and dangerous escalation in the Middle East that continues to explode with no end in sight as we further distance one of our closest friends and allies because Harris needs votes from supporters who side with Hamas.
Harris’s record is the truth that will set Americans free if they decide to turn their back on her lies. There is freedom in truth, but you will not hear it from Kamala. Her power depends on taking that freedom away.

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.
Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it
We’ll find out next week how well people are paying attention, won’t we, Sandy? I agree, it’s pretty amazing that no matter how bad things are or how misguided the actions of public officials, they still manage to convince people to support what they do. Watch what happens in the Illinois governor’s race next week. If Pat Quinn wins, it’s a pretty good sign that we are truly lost.
freedom from harm is not a reasonable freedom. Freedom from unjust aggression is reasonable, and the primary reason for government.
Thanks for your remarks, Ed. Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.

I don’t know if the intention was to turn lies into the sole means of communicating with the people to the complete exclusion of the truth, but it has certainly paid off for Democrats and the White House.
