December 23, 2023:
Unprecedented attacks on our freedom demand an unprecedented response.
Where is it?
After the Colorado Supreme Court ruled to deny voters the freedom to cast their primary ballot for the leading Republican presidential candidate, the U.S. Supreme Court became the refuge of last resort to stop a wave of blue state anti-democracy court decisions.
If Democrats succeed at removing Trump from the ballot there will be no reason for state courts to try to lock him up forever, but that won’t stop the tyrannical wheels of liberal injustice. When Democrats start they never stop, especially when it comes to destroying the man they fear as a threat to their power more than anything on earth.
Republicans, on the other hand, don’t seem to know how or when to get started.
They talked the talk to show their displeasure after the Colorado decision:
“The Colorado Supreme Court’s outrageous and unprecedented decision to deny a credible candidate and former president access to the ballot is the exact opposite of allowing for a free and fair election,” said [Rep. Tom] Cole. “This tramples on our country’s founding democratic principles; we should always let the voters decide. I urge the U.S. Supreme Court to quickly take up and overturn this shameful action.”457
If you think this sounds a lot like their indignation over the “unprecedented surge in illegal immigration”458 and other problems they haven’t done anything substantive to address, you are correct.
With little or no resistance, the left’s unprecedented attacks on our freedom keep coming
Republicans warned that the left took unprecedented action to revoke First Amendment rights to manipulate the outcome of the 2020 presidential election:
The actions social media companies took in the weeks prior to the 2020 election were unprecedented and undermined Americans’ trust in their access to information about elections and candidates.459
GOP lawmakers lament unprecedented, authoritarian Biden administration overreaches:
From massive spending to unprecedented executive overreach, the Biden Administration is using every aspect of government to pursue radical policies that are hurting the American people. President Biden during his first year issued more executive orders and approved more major rules than any recent president.460
Biden flunkeys’ successful efforts to protect the president from corruption allegations are unprecedented:
Biden’s administration not only refuses to secure our Southern border, but the corrupt federal officials appointed by Joe Biden have also taken unprecedented action to protect him and his criminal family from any sort of investigation.461
With so many unprecedented attacks on our freedom unchallenged by anything but empty rhetoric, Democrats now believe they can take away our freedom to vote our choice.
The fate of America and the democratic values we were founded on are at stake, but instead of mounting an equivalent, unprecedented response to these attacks on our freedom we hear excuses from Republicans for not pursuing the same strategies Democrats would never think twice about:
What is the practical effect of impeaching Mayorkas, other than assuring that Republicans will have no defense when a future Democrat majority turns this new definition against them?462
The “practical effect” of twice impeaching the president and holding a nationally televised January 6th Kangaroo Court to support the Democrat Party lie that he incited an insurrection was to give state courts an excuse to file multiple lawsuits and now a decision to keep the former president off the 2024 ballot.
Don’t hope that a Supreme Court decision to protect your freedom to vote your choice will make any difference
If you think the Supreme Court will step in to save your freedom, you could not be more wrong.
Democrats imploring Americans to trust them to protect democracy is like a bully telling you to stop hitting yourself. Don’t think for a moment that a SCOTUS decision to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court’s theft of the freedom to vote will make any difference. Every time we let Democrats get away with an unprecedented attack on our fundamental freedoms, it emboldens them to try harder.
When asked if Trump is an insurrectionist, President Biden stumbled through an affirmative response:
THE PRESIDENT: Well, I think cer- — certain things are self-evident. You saw it all. Now, whether the 14th Amendment applies, I’ll let the court make that decision. But he certainly supported an insurrection. No question about it. None. Zero.463
Democrats and fraudster Hillary Clinton repeatedly referred to Trump as an “illegitimate president.” They slap the same label on our “corrupt and illegitimate Supreme Court”464, 465 and propose fixes in their party’s favor like packing SCOTUS and applying term limits to justices they would never consider for themselves.
Ask yourself: what do you think will happen when our highest court rules against Colorado?
It won’t put Trump back on the ballot in Colorado or any other state that adopts the same strategy. Democrats will protect American democracy from an insurrectionist and illegitimate, MAGA puppets on our highest court with unprecedented actions. They will have no choice and know nothing will stand in their way except a rush of hot air from the GOP. Yes, their final assault on democracy and the right to vote will be built from lies and propaganda, but since when has that stopped the Democrat Party?
January 18, 2024:
Harris values freedom as long as it’s bestowed by the government
Like many prominent freedom-hating Democrats, Kamala Harris is quick to pontificate about a concept her politics renders her incapable of understanding:
Freedom is fundamental to the promise of America. Freedom is not to be given. It is not to be bestowed. It is ours by right. (Applause.) And in many ways, the story of America has been a story of our fight to realize that promise.466
That’s a curious statement considering Harris, Biden, and the radicalized Democrat Party have staked their claim to the false and utterly anti-American belief that our government bestows freedom on the individual. As far as the Biden White House is concerned, we are subjects and had better thank Joe and Kamala for what we get whether it’s prices we can’t afford, a shortened list of leftist-approved products we are permitted to purchase, or a ballot of presidential candidates hand-picked by the authoritarian Democrat Party.
Granted, few take Harris’ half-bright ramblings seriously even when we understand what she’s trying to say. In a Martin Luther King, Jr. address from the South Carolina State House she resorted to Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” strategy, maligning opponents she denounces as extremists for refusing to hand over our country and freedom to the left.
For some reason the vice president never uttered the “MAGA” slur. Did Biden campaign gurus finally figure out that telling Americans making their country great is something to condemn is a risky talking point? Their goal is to get elected. When that’s done, Joe can finish destroying what’s left of the greatness we enjoyed before he came along while his party legislates away our remaining freedoms.
Harris had the audacity to quote King about our freedom as if it means something:
The goal of America is freedom.467
She asked a question:
In 2024, where exactly is America in our fight for freedom? How are we doing?468
And answered that question truthfully:
Well, as Vice President of the United States, I’d say, at this moment in America, freedom is under profound threat.469
She should know. The only thing she was dishonest about is where that threat is coming from.
These hypocritical nods to freedom were just prelude to the usual litany of alleged affronts to our liberty including the SCOTUS decision that decided abortion should not, in Harris’ own words, be a freedom “bestowed” by the federal government. She tossed in a favorite Democrat lie about voters in Georgia facing death by dehydration while waiting to vote:
In Georgia, extremists had the gall to pass a law to even make it illegal to simply offer food and water to people standing in line for hours to exercise their basic civic duty.470
The term for what Harris is referring to and apparently endorses is “electioneering,” a practice most states restrict or ban outright. As Senator Tom Cotton points out:
The law explicitly states that election officials may provide water to voters waiting in line. And a key goal of the entire law is to streamline elections so that voters don’t need to wait in line for more than a few minutes.471
The vice president questions “whatever happened to “love thy neighbor”?”472 while repeatedly condemning conservatives in keeping with administration orthodoxy that anyone who doesn’t support Democrat Party policies is an enemy of the state.
Like other deranged liberals who lecture us from on high about fundamental American values they have no regard for unless they control them, Harris disregards obvious assaults on our freedom like the right to live in a safe, sovereign nation with a secure border and without foreign nationals roaming our backyard despite her claim that:
Every person in our nation has a right to live safe.473
The same goes for liberal law enforcement policies that eliminate cash bail and greenlight looting, shoplifting, and other crimes by reducing them to minor infractions not worth pursuing. She didn’t say a word about denying our citizens’ children the right to go to school because a sanctuary city needs a place to shelter the illegals who come first or even how her insistance on freedom for women’s bodies reconciles with the administration’s draconian COVID vaccination policies and the lies that backed them.
Most important, the Democrat Party’s full-bore assault on the right to vote for the candidate of our choice doesn’t align with Harris’ claim that the freedom to vote is under assault by right wing extremists. At work here is her hypocritical declaration that:
Freedom is not to be given. It is not to be bestowed. It is ours by right.474
Don’t get me wrong. This is absolutely true, but our vice president doesn’t believe a word of it. In her world, freedom is a gift bestowed by the government for doing what we’re told. It’s a fundamental American value conveniently discarded when necessary for the good of the Democrat Party, like making 100% sure that Donald Trump, even if he makes it to election ballots, is not the victor in the 2024 election.

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.

Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it
Bob says
We’ll find out next week how well people are paying attention, won’t we, Sandy? I agree, it’s pretty amazing that no matter how bad things are or how misguided the actions of public officials, they still manage to convince people to support what they do. Watch what happens in the Illinois governor’s race next week. If Pat Quinn wins, it’s a pretty good sign that we are truly lost.

freedom from harm is not a reasonable freedom. Freedom from unjust aggression is reasonable, and the primary reason for government.
Bob Prokop says
Thanks for your remarks, Ed. Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.
Diane McGuinness says
Obama signed a bill to allow the media to profess false narratives for the peoples ow good HR4310

Joseph Goebbels would be so proud.
Bob Prokop says
I don’t know if the intention was to turn lies into the sole means of communicating with the people to the complete exclusion of the truth, but it has certainly paid off for Democrats and the White House.
John Ille says
Wow, the RWNJ is strong with this one.
Bob Prokop says
I’m listening, John.
