Americans must demand the return of our sovereignty, freedom, and democracy.
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan joined Karine Jean-Pierre for last Friday’s press briefing. Sullivan is a Biden administration favorite to support the press secretary when a new scandal like the White House cocaine mystery poses a risk that Jean-Pierre might become unglued, which she did with her “incredibly irresponsible reporting”369 meltdown after a reporter asked if the Biden family owned the illicit white powder that has the nation wondering what kind of crazy is going on in the Executive Mansion?
We can certainly apply the incredibly irresponsible label to illegal drugs sneaking into the White House. Perhaps a drug sniffing dog would help protect the president from someone in his inner circle running amuck under the influence of illegal substances that probably trespassed our border while agents were busy processing Biden’s migrants instead of protecting American sovereignty.
Of course, there are many more pressing issues on the table than the identity of the owner of the White House’s illegal drugs. Sullivan solidified America’s dedication to Ukraine as the president prepared for his European trip and NATO summit where we can only hope the gaffes, stumbles, and misstatements don’t cause further embarrassment for the U.S. and our sagging international reputation. As Fox News reported yesterday, Biden is already in hot water for revealing that we are running short on artillery rounds.
There is no doubt our government is in this conflict with Russia for the long haul, even if it means a risky, endless proxy war with another nuclear power. Sullivan laid out the values America defends for the Ukrainian people:
We continue to stand with the people of Ukraine as they defend their sovereignty, their freedom, and their democracy.370
What he didn’t explain is why Americans funding this conflict are not entitled to the same thing.
We want our sovereignty back.
From the very first day that U.S. involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war became a political imperative we heard endless appeals to protect freedom, sovereignty, and democracy for the Ukrainian people. Biden’s March 26, 2022 address from Warsaw mentioned freedom 13 times and democracy 10 times. He repeatedly referred to Ukraine’s border371 while our own was invaded by foreign nationals from all around the globe thanks to cancelling the Trump policies that protected our sovereignty.
Americans were powerless to stop the influx of illegals while we began to shell out billions to defend the sovereignty of Ukraine and to combat Russia’s “blatant attacks on liberty and democracy and the core principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity” that the president warned threatens the “very idea of sovereignty.”372 Meanwhile, his open, lawless border supports an opposing, contradictory set of values embraced by the Democrat Party.
This is how American leftists protect freedom and democracy.
Defending freedom means California’s AB 957 proposal to factor the refusal of a parent to submit to the left’s gender transition agenda into child custody cases. It means intimidating Americans who publicly resist political indoctrination in the schools they fund at school board meetings. Defending freedom means cracking down on responsible gun ownership while allowing handgun violence and murder to flourish in Democrat cities. It would have included a Disinformation Governance Board, too, if that anti-First Amendment scheme wasn’t so over the top that it failed almost as soon as it was announced.
In leftist Washington freedom partners with democracy to censor information that challenges the hegemony of the Democrat Party. Defending democracy mandates that only the left’s radical interpretation of history, events, and American values should be taught to our children.
Democrats in control of our government protect democracy by manipulating the flow of information Americans rely on to make decisions about their vote with hoaxes like Trump-Russia collusion. They argue that protecting the sanctity of the suffrage with proof of eligibility is a racist rejection of civil rights because black and brown people are not capable of obtaining identification.
Democrat democracy further incentivizes illegal immigration by allowing illegals to vote in some local elections as a foot in the door to handing them the vote on the national level just like we offer them driver’s licenses, student aid, and roll out the welcome mat as soon as they break our laws to arrive here.
The Biden administration’s rejection of transparency, co-optation of our federal justice and security agencies, disinformation campaign for everything from COVID-19 to the alleged semi-fascist designs of the president’s political opposition, and the indictment of campaign rival Donald Trump define how the left protects freedom, democracy, and sovereignty for Americans who are paying to support these values for the citizens of Ukraine.
This is a bad and ultimately destructive joke perpetrated by the radical ideologues who own our government and care only about growing their power with an agenda that is contrary to everything that America stands for. Democrats don’t care, but if we value our sovereignty, freedom, and democracy we certainly should.
Democrat Stonewalling of Biden Corruption Allegations Proves our Free Country is Utterly Lost.
Nearly two centuries ago, Thomas Jefferson warned that government corruption is inevitable:
In every government on earth is some trace of human weakness, some germ of corruption and degeneracy, which cunning will discover, and wickedness insensibly open, cultivate and improve.373
He reminded Americans who is responsible for protecting the government from the baser instincts of our leaders:
Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves therefore are its only safe depositories.374

The American people have ceased to be the safe depositories of America’s government. Voters deserve praise and blame for choosing who leads our nation, but what happens when Jefferson’s “rulers of the people” not only abdicate their responsibility to preserve and protect our democratic republic, but also deny we, the people the freedom to discharge our duties as citizens by demanding answers about their activities and motivations?
A government of absolute rulers who do whatever they wish with no explanation, accountability, or consequences while the people and political opposition out of power are forced to adhere to an entirely different set of rules is not a free country. It may be an autocracy, a dictatorship, or a monarchy, but it is most certainly not the country Americans revere, respect, and love. For the time being, that country is gone, utterly lost.
America is hamstrung by a ruler protected by government agencies and a vast, powerful political machine. The Biden presidency is an absolute rejection of the idea that America’s democratic republic is a government by and for the people and is perhaps the most vicious attack ever on our freedom and responsibility to be the guardians of our government.
It is not possible for a reasonable person to ignore the implications of what Republicans have uncovered about the president’s involvement in his son Hunter’s foreign business dealings. Every American has the right and responsibility to question whether our commander in chief is compromised because he succumbed to Jefferson’s threats of corruption and degeneracy.
The Democrat Party’s answer? Nothing to see here:
None of the bank records reviewed by [Democrat Oversight] Committee staff allege, or even suggest, any potential misconduct by President Biden, nor do they show President Biden’s involvement in Hunter Biden’s business relationships.376
Instead of the serious investigation Americans deserve, Democrats distract with Donald Trump, any mention of whom should only serve to emphasize the two-tiered corruption of our justice system. They cite Trump’s “Criminal Acts” in a press release headline blasting the House Oversight Committee investigations that denies our former president his right and freedom to be innocent of a crime until proven guilty.
No matter what Republicans uncover, all Democrat roads end at Trump:
Rep. Jamie Raskin, Ranking Member of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability, led Democrats in emphasizing the unbiased and complete nature of the Department of Justice’s investigation into Hunter Biden, contrasting it with the Trump Administration’s efforts to undermine and interfere with the justice system.377
In the unlikely event that anti-Trump propaganda fails, racism is a reliable fallback and another way to divert and stonewall that has nothing to do with the serious problem at hand:
[Democrat Oversight] Committee Democrats called out Republicans for ignoring and exacerbating the true two-tiered justice system in this country where people of color are treated more harshly and the richest people and corporations are subject to fewer tax audits.378
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) explains the real issue in one short sentence that even a Biden voter can understand:
Of course, the implication is that the Biden Administration dictates truth, while any dissenting view is labeled disinformation.379
Add Democrats to the top of the list of government leftists that dictate truth. They argue that House Majority Republicans should give up on Biden corruption and worry about making lives better for Americans like they do, which is a lie in itself. This specious stupidity will be recited hundreds of times and the media will regurgitate it in our faces over and over like a piece of rotten, stinking fish. It will become gospel with the left’s base just like their conviction that Donald Trump is a criminal with a permanent jail cell door open and waiting while Joe Biden is as close as America will get to a Second Coming.
Jefferson warned us. Now Americans are at a watershed moment where we either give up on living in a free country governed by the people, or decide to reject subservience to a political left that lies to us, censors our beliefs, and laughs in our collective face when we demand answers to serious, credible allegations about America’s president while they simultaneously deny us the freedom to choose our presidential candidate of choice because he threatens their power.
This denial strikes at the very heart of what it means to live in a free country. For the time being, we should assume that free country is lost. If this corrupt political paradigm continues, we will never get it back.

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.
Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it
We’ll find out next week how well people are paying attention, won’t we, Sandy? I agree, it’s pretty amazing that no matter how bad things are or how misguided the actions of public officials, they still manage to convince people to support what they do. Watch what happens in the Illinois governor’s race next week. If Pat Quinn wins, it’s a pretty good sign that we are truly lost.
freedom from harm is not a reasonable freedom. Freedom from unjust aggression is reasonable, and the primary reason for government.

Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.
