Harris blasts Republicans for taking away your freedoms while she heaps praise on teachers union that endorses indoctrinating kids with CRT.
Vice President Kamala Harris visited my state on Tuesday. I’m surprised the Secret Service let her anywhere near Chicago, but if you are pushing a radical left union teaching agenda there are few friendlier places to be.
Harris was in town to address the National Education Association, our nation’s largest teachers union. The NEA enjoyed some notoriety earlier this year thanks to Republicans:
U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), along with ten Senators, wrote to U.S. Department of Education Inspector General Sandra Bruce and U.S. Department of Justice Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz urging them to investigate multiple coordinated efforts between the Biden Administration, the National School Boards Association (NSBA), and the National Education Association (NEA) to silence parents protesting school policies related to COVID-19 and Critical Race Theory.232
As Congressman Doug Lamborn (R-CO) observed in April 2022 when he announced H.R. 7510, the National Educational Association Charter Repeal Act:
The NEA has even gone so far as to attack critics of CRT and solicit the help of social media companies to censure concerned parents who oppose the racial indoctrination of their children.233
Perhaps hapless Harris forgot the firestorm over alleged collusion between the Biden administration, Merrick Garland’s DOJ, and the National School Boards Association to intimidate parents who voice their opinions at school board meetings. She certainly seemed oblivious in hypocritical remarks that accused Republicans of extremism and taking away our freedoms:
While you work hard — (applause) — while you work hard to teach the principles of liberty and freedom in your classroom, these so-called “leaders” are taking freedoms away — (applause): freedom away from women and the freedom to make decisions over their own bodies — (applause); freedom away from a kindergarten-to-third-grade teacher in Florida to love openly and with pride — (applause); and away from every American as they intentionally try to make it more difficult for folks to vote. (Applause.)234
I have no idea what the vice president meant about taking away the freedom of teachers to “love openly and with pride.” They can do whatever they want outside of the classroom, but we keep hearing reports of young children being exposed to drag queens and inappropriate sexual material which shows how fast our ethical barriers are crumbling with the left in charge of public education.
The response to Florida’s parental rights bill is another example of what happens when something interferes with joint Democrat Party-Big Labor efforts to indoctrinate our next generation of Americans. We don’t hear much about STEM teaching these days. Instead, we hear about teaching kids the permutations of non-heterosexual sex, gender confusion, and CRT.
In the document “Know Your Rights,” NEA President Becky Pringle warns against a North Dakota law that bans teaching Critical Race Theory in schools:
These dangerous attempts to stoke fears and rewrite history not only diminish the injustices experienced by generations of Americans, they prevent educators from challenging our students to achieve a more equitable future.235
It is not the role of children to right alleged social injustices that are created to support a political agenda. Neither is it the duty of teachers to indoctrinate kids in radical left anti-Americanism, especially when it makes everything they know and everyone they love an inherent part of the problem.
“Challenging our students” is not the same thing as teaching American history as a tale of systemic racism we have not yet admitted or atoned for. This defines rewriting history. So does swapping equity for equality. One is a fundamental American value. The other is a fundamental, Biden-era Democrat value used to justify socialist economic redistribution. Congressman Ted Budd (R-NC) weighs in:
In fact, Critical Race Theorists disdain the very notion of equality, with one prominent CRT scholar, Ibram X. Kendi, claiming: “The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination … the only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.”236
The NEA does not hide its endorsement of CRT. Articles published on the union’s website include “We Need to Teach the Truth About Systemic Racism, Say Educators”237 and “Honesty in Education: CRT Debunked for Next Gen Educators.”238 Against this backdrop Harris said of Republicans:
And instead, these so-called “leaders” have tried to make you pawns of their political agenda.239
I have yet to hear a Republican advocate for agenda-laden teaching in our public schools, unless we consider teaching American history honestly, fairly, and without left-wing bias to be inherently agenda-driven, which is the left’s position.
Instead, the left’s process of public school indoctrination is about instilling an ideology. This is not the purpose of public education in a democratic society. It is the job of politicians and propagandists who wield a dangerous weapon against intellectually vulnerable children.
Harris’ remarks view public education as a battle:
Let’s remember — I like to paraphrase all the time what Coretta Scott King said. She said: The fight for justice, the fight for civil rights, the fight for freedom, the fight for equality must be fought and won with each generation.240
There is little doubt where this battle is headed. The future of unions lies with the Democrat Party, and the Democrat Party’s future lies with turning our kids against an America that leftist indoctrination wants them to believe is too flawed, too hateful, too fundamentally racist to survive.

Remember Your Freedom in November: this is what Democrats mean when they talk about freedom and democracy.
Now, more than ever, Democrats oppose freedom and democracy because these fundamental American values stand in the way of dominating our lives. They sell it to us anyway in the mistaken belief that we are too naive to understand how their party subverts our freedom and the voice of the people so they can build their political might.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi talks about defending our freedom and security despite overseeing the House’s Stalinesque January 6th Kangaroo Court and making sure she is exempt from any inquiries about her own role in those events:
I rise today in what is a momentous week for our House Democratic Majority, as we carry on our work to defend America’s health, security and freedom.241
What does she mean by defending our security while illegals invade our sovereign border? Sending another $1 billion to Ukraine:
And we are further supporting the Ukrainian people, the Ukrainian people, in their fight for Democracy with $1 billion additional in security assistance. Let us salute the Chair, Adam Smith, and the Armed Services Committee for their persistent, patriotic leadership in assembling this legislation, which will help [ensure] that Americans are safe and that our Democracy is secure.242
That’s a load of crap and Pelosi knows it. As Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) pointed out when Bidenflation was only a shocking 8.3%:

Total No. of U.S. deaths caused by Mexican fentanyl in 2021: 105,000243
America is in the death grip of the Democrat Party. Biden’s renewable energy policies play directly into Putin’s hands and help fund his war while our money flows overseas to support security and democracy in Ukraine. Meanwhile, American deaths from the fentanyl coming across our lawless southern border continue to rise with no end in sight.
When you hear Pelosi appeal to security, freedom, and democracy, this is what she’s talking about.
Democrats want you to think that government control is freedom.
Last week Pelosi managed to use “freedom” three times in a single sentence, as if repetition will convince us that federal control of women’s health care and denying voters the right to decide for themselves is all about protecting freedom and democracy:
As you know, we are – dealing with the protecting freedom and Democracy in our country when it comes to a woman’s right to choose, and as Republicans in Congress are plotting a nationwide ban to nation – to criminalize abortion in all 50 states, Democrats are taking action to defend the right to reproductive freedom, freedom.244
Republicans? Democrats are plotting to take away our freedom and democratic voice by nationalizing abortion. Their push for a federal takeover of the rights returned to states by the Supreme Court Dobbs ruling include eliminating the filibuster so the federal government can make our decisions about health care:
But we must ensure that the American people Remember in November. Because with two more Democratic Senators, we will be able to eliminate the filibuster when it comes to a woman’s right to choose and to make reproductive freedom the law of the land – the law of the land.245
Remember we will. Pelosi’s vision for freedom is Democrat Party hegemony in perpetuity. It’s not about your freedom and it never was. It’s about the freedom of wealthy, woke liberal Democrat elites to do what they want, when they want, to advance themselves regardless of what the American people desire or how our lives are impacted.
Token Democrat Cheney laughably defends freedom over tyranny.
Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney quacks like a Democrat and like her leftist colleagues makes false appeals to freedom and democracy. She had the audacity to accept a John F. Kennedy Library Foundation “Profile in Courage Award:”
I’m grateful to the Kennedy Library Foundation for this tremendous honor and for their commitment to freedom and democracy.246
Cheney’s commitment to freedom and democracy involves sitting next to January 6th Kangaroo Court Chair Bennie Thompson (D-MS) like a faithful canine, selling out her party and constituents to shore up the political dominance of the Democrat Party and its war against boogeyman Donald Trump.
Cheney speaks of “maximum danger in the cause of freedom” and the battle of “freedom vs. tyranny”.247 in Ukraine. Remember that when you see her sitting on her throne beside Thompson so she can help Democrats influence the outcome of the 2024 election by doing everything in their power to ensure you can’t vote for Trump.
That’s not democracy or freedom. It’s tyranny.
Sherrill: defending freedom and democracy in Ukraine means Americans get punished here at home.
It’s good to know that our punishing gas prices aren’t about Biden killing America’s fossil fuel industry. According to Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) our pain at the pump is really about freedom and democracy overseas:
While stepping up our sanctions on Russia is necessary to preserve freedom and democracy abroad, I deeply understand Americans’ real and legitimate concerns about the potential effect this could have on gas prices. I will continue to push for additional steps our country can take to further bring down gas prices.248
Don’t think this means that bringing down gas prices has anything to do with reversing the damage the president has done.
Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), Chairwoman of the Environment Subcommittee of Science, Space, and Technology Committee, today praised President Joe Biden and the entire Biden Administration for their efforts to advance renewable energy production.249
To be fair, the congresswoman did say that she was protecting freedom and democracy abroad and not here. On the domestic front, Sherrill backed the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act of 2022 so women (and since she’s a Democrat I’ll assume men as well) can travel across state lines for an abortion:
The Ensuring Access to Abortion Act of 2022 extends legal protections to Americans who utilize their constitutional freedom to travel to another state to seek an abortion. 250
Sadly, our constitutional freedom to travel has been severely impacted by Biden and the Democrats’ soaring gas prices. None of their excuses for hurting Americans so they can “advance renewable energy production” are in the least bit credible, so when the price of gas is too high to exercise our constitutional freedom to make the trip for an abortion who will wear the blame?
With a scary new COVID-19 variant making the rounds state and local Democrat officials will again have vast opportunities to restrict our freedom and liberty just like they did in 2020 and 2021. Tell me if you disagree, but it seems like it would be a lot easier if they just followed the Chinese Communist Party’s lead since it aligns much better with their policy agenda:
The Chinese Communist Party does not hide the fact that their end goal is to replace freedom and democracy with authoritarianism and oppression.251
I’m sure Joe Biden would go for it.
UPDATE July 22, 2022:
Condom strategy: Democrats defend freedoms that aren’t under attack while they assault your right to life, liberty, and happiness.
Talk about desperation. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) just issued a comical press release promising to defend the freedoms the “radical, right wing Supreme Court majority is on the verge of taking away.”252
I’ll take the high road and call Jeffries’ remarks disinformation beginning with “on the verge.” The freedoms he is referring to are gay marriage, contraception, and abortion. None of these are being taken away by the Supreme Court. The court hasn’t even taken up gay marriage and contraception.
This is how disconnected Washington’s woke political hacks are from the Americans who waste tax dollars on their salaries. Democrats work hard to divert and distract from how much they have done to hurt us. For want of a better term, let’s call their latest scheme the condom strategy.
Let’s get something straight: the Supreme Court is not on the verge of doing anything. The justices aren’t even in session. Democrats’ fear-mongering over Clarence Thomas’ comments on contraception and gay marriage is a straw man made of condoms.
When we finally kick Democrats off their thrones in November the past two years will go down as the most radical assault on our freedom and values in history. This is a party dominated by half-bright ideologues like AOC wearing tin foil hats and warning of the imminent demise of life on earth if we don’t destroy the energy grid and put Americans in the poor house so they can replace our capitalist economic system with socialism.
Democrats would make angry Swede Greta Thunberg a citizen and change the age requirement for the presidency if they could get away with it. That’s how desperate they are for a win that is never coming. They had their chance to make our lives better and they blew it, big time. The Democrat Party’s ridiculous, woke agenda is doomed because they left out the most important thing about America: Americans.
Democrats are the radicals taking our freedoms away. We’re already hearing about the revival of a school mask mandate in San Diego. Does anyone believe this nonsense will stop on the West Coast? Left wingers behave like lemmings. As COVID-19 cases rise despite reassuring disinformation from the White House about vaccine efficacy, they will spread fear and jump off their ideological cliff as one. Teachers’ unions will take your right to the public education you pay for with them.
After COVID travel restrictions were lifted our freedom of movement was again restricted because of Biden’s Green New Deal gas prices. Food is too expensive as Bidenflation raises the cost of everything. Shortages loom. The reliability of our energy grid is threatened. Crime is rampant. Fentanyl is murdering Americans by the thousands. The border is wide open. Baby formula is in short supply – is this the Democrat Party’s hint that abortion is a better option?
Every one of these things takes away your freedoms to life, liberty, and happiness, but these are not the “freedoms that Americans have enjoyed for a very long time” that Democrats want you to know they will protect. According to Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), this is what we should worry about:
Access to abortion care, access to contraception, and even access to marriage, the institution of marriage and marriage equality.253
Last night Democrats televised another installment of their January 6 prime time drama series. The goal, as most of us realize by now, is to deny Americans the freedom to vote for the presidential candidate of their choice in 2024. This Kangaroo Court sets a dangerous precedent that threatens the electoral freedom of all Americans regardless of political affiliation, but they don’t want you to think about that too hard. Instead, you should worry if the condom shelf will be empty next time you visit the pharmacy. This is what your freedom means to the Democrat Party.

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.
Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it

Watch what happens in the Illinois governor’s race next week. If Pat Quinn wins, it’s a pretty good sign that we are truly lost.

Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.
