UPDATE October 5, 2021: freedom to not be a domestic terrorist because the Justice Department and your school board say so.
The Biden administration used January 6 to turn conservatives into suspect domestic terrorists. Now we’re suspects again. A widely circulated letter from the National School Board Association warns of alleged “Threats and Acts of Violence Against Public Schoolchildren, Public School Board Members, and Other Public School District Officials and Educators” that are “equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.”159
Biden’s Justice Department seized this new opportunity:
The Justice Department will also create specialized training and guidance for local school boards and school administrators. This training will help school board members and other potential victims understand the type of behavior that constitutes threats, how to report threatening conduct to the appropriate law enforcement agencies, and how to capture and preserve evidence of threatening conduct to aid in the investigation and prosecution of these crimes.160
How can we trust the motives of a DOJ run by authoritarian Democrats who claim Americans are a threat worse than foreign terrorists and who turned the Capitol Riot into something worse than 9/11 and the Civil War? Obviously we can’t, especially when it comes to interpreting what is a threat and what is not.
We certainly can’t trust schools pushing Critical Race Theory. The NSBA letter claims that CRT is not taught in public schools.161 A press release from Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) gives detailed examples that argue otherwise, including:
In Cupertino, California, third graders at [school name redacted] were required to deconstruct their racial identities and then rank themselves according to their “power and privilege.”
The largest school district in North Carolina has urged teachers to ignore parental concerns in order to teach so-called “anti-racism,” through an “Equity in Action” plan that includes critical race theory.162
Taxpayers who pay for public schools have a right to know how their children are being indoctrinated, but what’s much more disturbing than covert CRT is another opportunity for this radical left president to crack down on First Amendment speech that can easily become heated in a contentious public meeting and be misinterpreted as a threat. There is no incentive for the DOJ to not cast the widest net possible in whatever guidelines it issues for threatening conduct and every incentive to align with President Biden’s belief that the worst threat to America is Americans.
UPDATE October 14, 2021: freedom to not promote alternative gender identities to vulnerable children
It started before Biden took over. Democrats decided that adhering to children’s preferred pronouns are a civil rights issue. In a letter to Trump Education Secretary Betsy DeVos lawmakers demanded we “protect the civil rights of transgender students:”
The Department’s March 26, 2020 response provides clarification that Title IX protects all students from harassment predicated on sex stereotyping if it is sufficiently serious to deny or limit a student’s ability to participate in or benefit from an education program or activity, but that a refusal to use transgender students’ preferred pronouns, without more, does not violate Title IX.163
Civil rights open the door to federal litigation. Democrats were wise to use alleged LGBTQ children as their foot in the door. They know it’s best to start the indoctrination process when your target is young and most impressionable.
We just found out how the demands to protect transgender civil rights in our schools can work out in the real world. In Loudoun County, Virginia a father was dragged off in handcuffs for the offense of speaking his mind at a school board meeting despite allegations that his daughter was sexually assaulted in a school restroom by a boy wearing a skirt.
There is a fine line between educating kids and promoting a political agenda to children who are not only vulnerable because of their youth and inexperience, but can be put at risk by policies imposed by adults trying to make a point.
The left targets the uncertainty of an age group most prone to testing limits and questioning societal norms and maxims. That’s an incredibly irresponsible ploy in schools where kids should be protected from the absurdities of our politics and culture wars. It also puts parents who fund our schools in the position of promoting gender uncertainty through policies they have no control over.
No one should be singled out, discriminated against, or bullied because of their perception of their gender. Neither should kids be put in harm’s way psychologically or physically because woke gender extremism not only demands we promote the alphabet soup of gender dysphoria, but removes parents who know better from the discussion.
UPDATE October 23, 2021: freedom from police state investigations because Democrats and school boards don’t like you.
While Democrats pursued their scorched earth January 6 investigation, the National School Boards Association retracted its letter to the Biden administration requesting we go after parents who allegedly pose a domestic terror threat.
The text of the September 29, 2021 letter to the president contained a litany of threats under the federal umbrella of interstate commerce. The NSBA spoke of an “immediate threat,” threats and acts of violence, and the necessity to “protect our students,”164 which was instantly ridiculous when you consider that concerned parents of students are the target.
The letter wasn’t the only NSBA effort directed at alleged threats. On September 22, 2021 the organization issued a “Joint Statement Calling for End to Threats and Violence Around Safe School Opening Decisions.”165 After the request for federal intervention an October 4, 2021 release addressed the “strong message to individuals with violent intent” sent by Garland’s DOJ.166
According to the New York Post,167 not only does the association no longer support these threats, it apologized for the letter.
Too late. It only took Biden’s Department of Justice five days to “address the rise in criminal conduct” touched off by the NSBA claims:
Those efforts are expected to include the creation of a task force, consisting of representatives from the department’s Criminal Division, National Security Division, Civil Rights Division, the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, the FBI, the Community Relations Service and the Office of Justice Programs, to determine how federal enforcement tools can be used to prosecute these crimes, and ways to assist state, Tribal, territorial and local law enforcement where threats of violence may not constitute federal crimes.168
For those intent on turning in parents, Attorney General Merrick Garland’s press release suggests we use the FBI National Threat Operations Center’s national tip line or online reporting feature to turn in offenders. That’s a pretty serious response considering the originator of the letter that sparked these federal actions no longer stands behind its claims.
NSBA letter was a false bomb threat issued to Democrats
Given the Biden administration’s determination to attack Americans who might disagree with the left’s prevailing narratives, the School Board Association’s letter is akin to phoning in a false bomb threat or shouting fire in a crowded movie theater.
It’s too late for an apology. The damage is done. We will have to wait for Republicans to take over congress in January 2023, but when they do turning Americans into suspected terrorists for taking an interest in their schools must not be forgotten.
America is not a police state. Not living in fear of partisan persecution because of our beliefs is another fundamental freedom Democrats are determined to take away and we must preserve at all costs.
UPDATE October 30, 2021: our taxes pay Democrats to take away our freedoms.
This week we heard Senate Republicans demand Attorney General Merrick Garland’s resignation during a contentious hearing that was good for show and little else. The Biden White House and its ruling ideologues have no intention of changing policies that marginalize conservative Americans who disagree by taking away their freedom to protest and turning them into enemies of the state.
Biden’s authoritarian regime is working in perfect concert with state and local Democrats who will use your tax dollars to take away every liberty that stands in the way of their radical left takeover.
Few of us who make enough money to pay taxes expect anything in return except demands for more money, but we should at least have a reasonable expectation that our taxes won’t be used to harm us. Democrats clearly disagree. Their message is pay up and shut up, or else.
The Constitution begins with “We the People of the United States.” It did not establish a monarchy or the Biden authoritarian regime that is edging closer to totalitarianism every day. Consider the intrusions on our freedoms that Democrats force us to fund:
Democrats say no to having a voice in our schools and the education of our children.
Democrats say no to enforcing the laws in our cities, states, and at the border that keep Americans safe.
Biden’s federal medical treatment mandate threatens the availability of first responder and other services that we pay for and depend on.
Democrats want us to finance more IRS employees so they can violate our right to privacy and poke the party’s nose into penny ante financial transactions under the assumption that we are tax cheats until they prove otherwise.
Not only did we lose the freedom to say no to planting illegal foreign nationals in our communities, the Biden administration proposes that we pay massive reparations to illegals as an apology for Donald Trump protecting our border and enforcing our laws.
The law requires us to pay the salaries of radical lawmakers whose actions or lack thereof disrupt our supply chain, restrict the availability of energy, incentivize illegal immigration, promote crime, and threaten the safety and security of our families.
It’s no coincidence that Democrats who draw a connection between 9/11 and the January 6 Capitol riot now seek to turn parents into domestic threats. This is all part of a much larger effort to kill our First Amendment freedoms so ruling radical left autocrats can get richer and more powerful without any interference from we, the people whose tax dollars will go to transforming our country into another oppressive, socialist hellhole.
UPDATE October 31, 2021: press release paves the way for taking away our freedom against government seizure of our kids.
President Biden promised he’d stop the spread of COVID in 100 days. We’re long past 200 days and still talking about stopping the virus. Nancy Pelosi was true to form on Friday as she ignored Biden’s COVID death toll and applauded the emergency use authorization for a childhood Pfizer vaccine:
Getting our children vaccinated is the best way to ensure their health and safety, so they can go to school, spend time with their families and engage in our communities with the confidence of knowing they are protected from this vicious virus.169
It’s a relief to know we can finally let our kids out of the basement and into the sunlight thanks to “Democrats’ leadership.”170 The COVID crisis President Biden precipitated with his vaccine mandate will only get worse if he tries to enforce the same dictate on our children, but Pelosi’s press release paves the way:
It is now crucial that every eligible American – especially children ages five to eleven – get vaccinated as quickly as possible, so that we can finally put an end to this pandemic.171
The speaker has probably been too busy justifying spending trillions of our tax dollars to look at the numbers on vaccination rates. Biden’s policy is a failure and her assertion that “especially children” need to get vaccinated is a lie, especially in states where rates are below 50%.
Can you guess where this will end? How about remote learning or home schooling for unvaccinated kids? Perhaps forced vaccination by schools districts backed by Merrick Garland’s policy that resistance from parents is domestic terrorism?
Democrats have spent ten months taking away our freedom against unreasonable government intrusion wherever they think they can get away with it, including their scheme to scrutinize our nickel and dime financial transactions. Do forced vaccinations and policies requiring proof of vaccine status violate our right against unreasonable search and seizure? Democrats and Biden have already set the stage, so a new kiddie vaccine mandate enforced by school districts and the feds should be no surprise to anyone.
UPDATE November 14, 2021: we want our country back and the freedoms that come with it.
It’s been just over ten months and America has dramatically changed from the constitutional republic that bestows the freedom for us to live our lives without excessive, unwarranted intervention from the government. Since Biden took over many have pointed out that we own the government. The government does not own us.
That paradigm defines America. It is rapidly changing and as it does our freedoms are slipping away one by one. Parents are targeted as domestic terrorists. Fuel supplies are reduced to pander to climate activists while working class Americans are punished at the pump. January 6 rioters are political prisoners while murderers stalk the streets of our largest cities and the actions of violent, left-wing activists are rationalized. While our economy slowly disintegrates the White House shrugs off price increases and inflation. Our border evaporated on January 17 and along with it American sovereignty. COVID-19 mandates at all levels of government test just how far authoritarian elites can push us and get away with it.
Congress is determined to pry into your personal, penny ante financial affairs with their $600 bank reporting scheme. Even the miles you drive are worthy of scrutiny thanks to the mileage tax study taxpayers will pay for as part of Biden’s infrastructure bill.
After that bill passed Democratic Caucus Chair Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) issued a statement that sounds like a threat:
President Biden has correctly indicated that we’re not going to go back to normal, that we are going to Build Back Better.172
Jeffries is correct. We’re not going back to normal and that’s not a good thing. Authoritarian big government is fundamentally incompatible with the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. That makes our freedom collateral damage. When you question whether you should risk attending your next school board meeting, remember how we got here and what it means to tell the people “we’re not going to go back to normal.”
UPDATE November 19, 2021: say goodbye to your freedom to live in America
This morning Nancy Pelosi’s House took a giant step towards taking away our freedom to live in America and all the liberties that go with it. If
President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda manages to clear the Senate, America as we know it is finished.
Biden’s 2,135 page bill to transform America is so massive the American people will never know what’s in it until it hits them. We’ve already had a taste of what Biden’s policies mean for our lives. The next time you fill up your car or go to the grocery store, think about how much damage he can do with this transformative agenda for a new America ruled by a Democrat Party autocracy.
For once, Biden isn’t lying
When President Biden talks about a transformative investment he isn’t lying. That’s a refreshing change, but the kind of transformation he is talking about will fundamentally alter America. The federal government will moderate every aspect of our lives to match an agenda we didn’t choose.
“Transformative” is where the truth ends. One day before the scheduled House vote on whether to embrace socialism we found out from the Congressional Budget Office that Biden’s paid for, no addition to the deficit promise was another lie. The bill will add $367 billion to the deficit. The White House was obviously prepared for this when Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates suggested that the CBO was not competent to analyze the true cost of Build Back Better:
As reporters who’ve been closely tracking the negotiations for months pointed out last night after some of that flawed reporting, there has been wide agreement on the part of everyone involved — moderates, liberals, et cetera — that CBO does not have experience analyzing revenue amounts gained from cracking down on wealthy tax cheats who are taking advantage of every honest taxpayer.173
The CBO is a lot more trustworthy than the constant stream of lies emanating from the Biden White House. Never forget what Biden repeatedly promised:
And, it is fully paid for and will reduce the deficit by making sure that large, profitable corporations can’t zero out their tax bills, no longer rewarding corporations that shift jobs and profits overseas, asking more from millionaires and billionaires, and stopping rich Americans from cheating on their tax bills. Under this historic agreement, nobody earning less than $400,000 per year will pay a penny more in taxes.174
He lied.
After Kevin McCarthy’s speech last night that delayed the vote, Pelosi’s press office responded by accusing the Republican leader of throwing a temper tantrum and getting the facts wrong about Democrats’ “inflation crushing Build Back Better Act.”175 I’m not sure what economic theory endorses spending money you don’t have to crush inflation, but if Democrats have the votes it doesn’t matter.
That’s the problem with Build Back Better. We are given no choice but to submit to a momentous decision to transition our constitutional republic to radical left socialism at the hands of wealthy political hacks who hold themselves apart from the masses. The Biden administration’s DOJ has already set the stage for attacking citizens who disagree with the Democratic Party’s demands. Our role is to shut up, submit, and fund a socialist takeover of this great country based on Biden’s lies. That’s the honest truth.

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.
Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it

freedom from harm is not a reasonable freedom. Freedom from unjust aggression is reasonable, and the primary reason for government.

Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.
