Desperate Democrats Want a Favor: Help Us Silence America

November 7, 2019 by Bob Prokop Leave a Comment

Freedom of thought must be a terrifying concept for Democrats who are desperate to put authoritarian big government in place as soon as they rid America of Trump.

Removing the president from office whether by impeachment or election won’t solve another problem they created: what will desperate Democrats do about the voters who backed this administration and need to be silenced so no one questions the party’s extreme liberal values?

Democrats have pushed their un-American dialogue so far that there is no turning back now. They are going to have to figure out what to do with the xenophobes, deplorables, nativists, nationalists, and racists they created during their attacks on Trump. If they succeed at replacing the president the dissent from these hated Republican voters will only get worse.

That’s going to be a tough one to tackle, since we are all citizens who are supposed to enjoy the same freedoms no matter what our political beliefs are.

Desperate Democrats have a problem: America is great

America is great. Liberal blasphemy directed against those who disagree tries to convince us otherwise. Many of the vile remarks directed at Trump supporters come from the liberal media, so desperate Democrats can hide behind the extremist views of others. For example, a letter read by Ohio Congresswoman Marcia Fudge on the House floor referred to Trump supporters as “racist,” “steeped in religious beliefs,” “ignorant,” and “dumb.”1

If that religious beliefs comment was directed at anyone but Republicans it would not be tolerated, but that’s how Democrats view anyone who refuses to submit. They blame Trump for corrupting American values while they direct all of their efforts at a paradigm shift to change how we view what freedom, independence, and personal responsibility mean. Their tiresome tax the rich platform has turned into something far more sweeping and dangerous. Democrats are determined to purge America of every last vestige of the values and institutions reflected by the Trump presidency. It’s just a matter of amassing the power to get the job done.

That means convincing America that good Americans are bad. Accusing us of “being steeped in religious beliefs” is a start, but there are much more sinister accusations being made.

Another problem: Americans are great, too

Democrats: help us silence these beliefs

Arizona Republican Andy Biggs got it right when he talked about Democrats demonizing Americans for backing the president. Honest political debate has shifted to denying conservatives the freedom to deny what the Democratic Party endorses.

Going back to Benjamin Franklin we have embraced freedom of thought as a fundamental value:

Without Freedom of Thought, there can be no such Thing as Wisdom; and no such Thing as publick Liberty, without Freedom of Speech;2

We were born with the freedom to believe what we want. The Democratic machine understands this, which is why it is essential to turn Republicans into bad and even dangerous Americans that exist outside of the protection of free beliefs.

This is what to call Trump’s base

The dialogue is subtle but the implications are clear: if you voted for Trump and oppose Democratic Party imperatives you are not a good American. You are a danger to what this nation represents.

Republicans are all these bad things

If you agree with Trump that birthright citizenship should be scrapped, Democrats call you a xenophobe:

This is clearly a cynical ploy to play to the xenophobic element of his base. All Americans deserve better than that.3

If all Americans deserve better, where do we xenophobes fit in?

Voting for Trump makes you a nativist

Do you agree with the White House that a barrier between the U.S. and Mexico might help to slow down migration that we don’t have the resources to manage? According to Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) that makes you a nativist:

This Administration has overstepped its Constitutional authority by recklessly spending military funds on an ineffective border wall project, and today a federal judge agreed. Our military readiness, national security, military families and those communities living near this proposed boondoggle should not have to suffer because of Trump’s hasty, careless attempt to pander to his nativist base.4

It’s perplexing that Wasserman-Schultz and her party believe illegal immigrants should have the same rights and protections as citizens, but the nativist charge surfaces again and again:

President Trump’s actions on immigration are the epitome of ‘shoot first, aim second’ politics. And we’re seeing the chaotic results. In order to fire up a nativist and xenophobic base, Trump announced that he would be rescinding DACA protections for nearly 700,000 Dreamers – unless Congress acted to stop him.5

Jerry Nadler’s (D-NY) message? If you don’t agree with Democrats on immigration you are a nationalist, a nativist, and a bigot, too:

He [Trump] uses remarks like this to stir up peoples’ emotions; to play to his minority base of extremist supporters (i.e. Anne Coulter) who don’t want any solution for Dreamers and support the most nationalist, xenophobic and bigoted policies; and he wants to turn the subject away from other issues that show he is losing control as investigators close in, his influence diminishes, and his popularity continues to plummet.6

Rep. Bill Foster (D-IL) chose a different route. He blamed Trump supporters but gave the president an out:

Our country is and will be stronger when we accept our country’s wonderful diversity and form policies based on facts and reason – not empty, xenophobic platitudes. I’m ready and willing to work with the President on good, thoughtful policies once the President is ready to accept the world in which we live and not the world in which his political base would like to live.7

Hate crimes and domestic terror

The recent arrest of a Colorado man allegedly involved in a plot to bomb a Colorado synagogue will require Democrats to dance the issue of anti-Semitism. Their support of Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib proves that when it comes from one of their own Democrats will tolerate just about anything. All they need to do is blame someone else for their problems, like Trump and congressional Republicans:

Exploiting anti-Semitism for partisan advantage is dangerous and wrong. It is misleading on the facts, destructive to the critical bipartisan support that Israel has always enjoyed and that has been so important to its security and success, and a risk to the unity of our country.8

One way or the other, they will make sure that we wear this one, too.

Can angry, desperate Democrats silence America?

In his October 28, 2019 address to the National Association of Chiefs of Police in Chicago the president used the word “great” 32 times. The media didn’t mention this, probably because it will never admit that there is anything great about America with Trump at the helm. He was roundly criticized for speaking the truth about the scourge of Windy City violence. Three days later a little girl in a bumblebee costume was shot twice while trick or treating in the city.

It doesn’t hurt to remind Americans that America is great when the party that dominates our House of Representatives feels compelled to make statements like this:

Even though Americans today are more likely to be killed by white-supremacists than international terrorism organizations while on American soil, treating these terrorist acts, including racist or anti-Semitic shootings, differently than other acts of terrorism makes the public take it less seriously.9

Does this comment from Adam Schiff (D-CA) mean that our own people are a greater threat than foreign terrorists?

This might be because much-hated Trump policies are a success. Schiff didn’t give the president any credit for stemming the risk of inviting foreign terrorists to the U.S. Instead, the policies designed to protect us were condemned by desperate Democrats as a racist “Muslim ban” even though most foreign terrorists hail to the Muslim Middle East:

The President’s Muslim ban is a moral stain on our country. It is a policy born out of hate and bigotry that continues to tear families apart,” said [Rep. Judy] Chu and [Sen. Chris] Coons.10

Rejecting our founding principles like the freedom to believe what we choose is also a moral stain that will form the basis of the 2020 Democratic election platform. Desperate Democrats must convince America that Republican voters are the enemy. Those they refer to as racists, xenophobes, nationalists, and nativists must be silenced so Americans can submit to whatever domineering leftist government the party plans to put in place. The best way to do this is to purge the government of any dissenting voices that won’t go along with the machine’s plans, starting with the president. After that, the job gets a lot easier.

UPDATE December 18, 2019: 63 million disenfranchised?

Ohio Rep. Bill Johnson commented in October about Democratic efforts to silence Americans by nullifying their vote:

Their goal is to remove the President from office and disenfranchise the 63 million Americans who voted for the [sic] him, and they don’t really care how they do it.11

According to an article on The Hill, Johnson expanded on that statement today by asking for a moment of silence for these 63 million people.

Nothing is as lethal to democratic government as nullifying the vote. That’s what Democrats tried to do in the House today and what they’ve been trying to do since November 2016 while they tell us over and over again that they are trying to save our system of government.

At least Hillary Clinton was honest enough to tell the truth. In the eyes of the Democratic Party we’re too deplorable for democracy.
