October 14, 2024:
“Dangerous,” “Disgusting” Misinformation is a First Amendment Freedom Even if it Threatens Harris and Biden’s Disinformation Campaign
According to President Biden, Kamala Harris, Karine Jean-Pierre, and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, we are suffering from a veritable epidemic of misinformation. As the 2024 election draws close, they recite their new favorite word ad nauseam while Harris spews disinformation and lies on the campaign trail.
White House demands that we, the people watch what we say while Harris and Biden spread disinformation with impunity are fundamentally un-American. Our speech is protected by the Constitution, which was designed to protect us from the abuse this pair has flagrantly indulged from the moment they took office.
Misinformation is a First Amendment freedom. Denouncing it for political gain is the real danger.
President Biden warns that alleged misinformation about the administration’s hurricane relief is downright dangerous:
And — and, again, let me say that the misinformation out there is not only just disgusting, but it — it’s dangerous and it’s misleading.516
In fact:
Quite frankly, these lies are un-American. And there is simply no place for them — not now, not ever.517
Quite frankly Mr. President, the real un-American dangers are the disinformation and lies spread by your White House and the Harris campaign because the truth is too politically damaging and risks Democrat Party control of America’s presidency.
There is nothing un-American about misinformation or our First Amendment freedom of speech
The Constitution was designed to protect we, the people from our government and a president, vice president, and agency heads who willfully deceive and even censor Americans for political gain.
Despite Biden’s insistence that misinformation is “un-American,” the Cato Institute observes that misinformation and even hate speech are protected by the First Amendment as affirmed by the 1977 Supreme Court decision in National Socialist Party of America v. Village of Skokie.518
Hate speech is disgusting and it can be very dangerous, but that doesn’t mean it’s not protected. The same goes for alleged misinformation that may reflect uncomfortable and damaging political truths.
Does White House disinformation kill Americans?
Joe didn’t mention whether the immigration disinformation deliberately spread by Harris is also disgusting and dangerous:
We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration.519
Neither did he remark about the possible ramifications of his DHS Secretary’s assurance that the border “is no less secure than it was previously”520 or this statement from March 16, 2021:
The situation we are currently facing at the southwest border is a difficult one. We are tackling it. We are keeping our borders secure, enforcing our laws, and staying true to our values and principles. We can do so because of the incredible talent and unwavering dedication of our workforce.521
Americans rely on the government to provide reliable information about homeland security. If citizens murdered, assaulted, raped, and robbed by illegals believed Harris and Mayorkas, does that make them victims of government disinformation who were willfully deceived about the threats posed by the administration’s open border?
Mayorkas unknowingly answered my question during an October 10, 2024 press conference about hurricane relief:
SECRETARY MAYORKAS: So, let me — let me repeat that, in fact, the false information that is being spread deliberately does have a real-life impact on survivors, and it is also demoralizing for those heroic individuals who are risking their lives in the service of others.522
Deceiving Americans about border security also has a real-life impact. The government has no right to pick and choose whether to disseminate reliable information or politically advantageous disinformation.
During an October 7, 2024 press conference Karine Jean-Pierre slapped the misinformation label on Fox News’ Peter Doocy because he had the effrontery to ask about money sent to Lebanon while North Carolinians are in need:
MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Wait. No, that is. Wait, your whole — your whole premise of the question is misinformation, sir.523
If questioning the government is misinformation then we, the people are we, the subjects.
When asked about Donald Trump allegedly spreading misinformation about Helene, the press secretary was less combative:
MS. JEAN-PIERRE: I — it’s a great question. Combating misinformation and disinformation is always, always critically important. It is.524
Combating information and disinformation is critically important to stifling dissent and protected First Amendment free speech. Jean-Pierre’s reaction to Doocy’s question is a good indication of the kind of misinformation and disinformation Harris and Biden are determined to eradicate. Anything that casts them in a bad light and might endanger Kamala’s bid for the White House deserves scrutiny and if particularly egregious like COVID science or Hunter’s laptop, censorship. On the other hand, misinformation, disinformation, and lies are perfectly acceptable if they promote White House policy or protect the administration.
Make no mistake. Harris and Biden’s legacies include purposely spreading misinformation and disinformation. We were assured the border is secure, the COVID vaccine prevents COVID, Border Patrol agents whip migrants, the Inflation Reduction Act is a bill to combat inflation, and congressional action is required to secure the border.
Now we’re warned in a White House “Interested Parties” memo that misinformation over Hurricane Helene relief is pervasive and dangerous:
Combatting misinformation and disinformation is always important – but it is especially important when responding to disasters like Hurricane Helene. In fact, disinformation after a hurricane or other natural disaster can discourage people from seeking critical assistance when they need it most. It is imperative that we encourage impacted residents to register for FEMA assistance, not discourage it, by allowing falsehoods to spread.525
We’ve heard the same argument in service to illegals who allegedly won’t seek help or report crimes because they fear reprisals for being in America illegally.
The first source the document cites to back up this claim is CNN. Other notable, unbiased and disinterested “authorities” include the Washington Post and NBC News.
CBS News wasn’t on the list.
Enough said.
We’ve heard a lot about the First Amendment lately. Bitter 2016 loser Hillary Clinton outed the left’s agenda by warning “we could lose total control” if social media doesn’t step up and do a better job of moderating content.
The October 7, 2024 CBS News 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris should ease Clinton’s fears. While Harris and Biden lecture America about misinformation, we deserve an explanation for the doctored interview question and why Harris didn’t call out the deception the moment the interview was aired.
On second thought, even if we got that explanation from Kamala, why would anyone believe her?

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.

Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it
Bob says
We’ll find out next week how well people are paying attention, won’t we, Sandy? I agree, it’s pretty amazing that no matter how bad things are or how misguided the actions of public officials, they still manage to convince people to support what they do. Watch what happens in the Illinois governor’s race next week. If Pat Quinn wins, it’s a pretty good sign that we are truly lost.

freedom from harm is not a reasonable freedom. Freedom from unjust aggression is reasonable, and the primary reason for government.
Bob Prokop says
Thanks for your remarks, Ed. Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.
Diane McGuinness says
Obama signed a bill to allow the media to profess false narratives for the peoples ow good HR4310
Scott says
Joseph Goebbels would be so proud.
Bob Prokop says
I don’t know if the intention was to turn lies into the sole means of communicating with the people to the complete exclusion of the truth, but it has certainly paid off for Democrats and the White House.
John Ille says
Wow, the RWNJ is strong with this one.
Bob Prokop says
I’m listening, John.
