UPDATE February 21, 2023:
Biden renews your commitment to pay for Ukraine’s liberty while our freedoms vanish here at home.
During his visit to Ukraine yesterday, President Biden committed U.S. taxpayers to spending another half billion dollars on a war that’s unlikely to end any time soon despite Ukraine President Zelensky’s wishful thinking that 2023 “will become a year of victory.”313
Standing shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine’s leader, Biden claimed that depleting our military resources and spending untold tens of billions on his foreign war has something to do with freedom here at home:
This is the visit in this most difficult period for Ukraine when Ukraine is fighting for our own liberty, for the liberties of the world.314
He was even more forceful in comments made from Warsaw today:
Autocrats only understand one word: “No.” “No.” “No.” (Applause.)
“No, you will not take my country.” “No, you will not take my freedom.” “No, you will not take my future.”315
Then he said this:
Over the past year, Democrats and Republicans in our United States Congress have come together to stand for freedom.316
Democrats may stand for Ukraine’s freedom, but that’s not their agenda for America and it’s not Biden’s, either.
When it comes to taking away the freedoms of the American people the only word Biden and the Democrat Party understand is “yes.” At least Zelensky got it right when he pointed out how much Americans value our freedom:
And Ukraine is grateful to you, Mr. President, to all the U.S. citizens, to all those who cherish freedom just as we cherish them.317
Ukraine’s president is probably too busy counting the cash flowing into his coffers for everything from pensions to the war effort to pay attention to what happened to the freedom of Americans suffering under an autocratic-leaning president and authoritarian Democrat Party that force us to spend billions to protect his country’s sovereignty while they willfully deny a national border to U.S. citizens funding our government’s undeclared war against Russia.
When missiles are exploding around you it’s easy to miss the nuances about what has happened to the freedoms of the people defending you. Quashing the First Amendment for U.S. citizens whose beliefs are right of center will probably slip past you, as will denying children the right to privacy and protection in school locker and restrooms thanks to the WOKE insanity of Democrats, unions, and school districts pandering to radical transgender activists who insist that gender is a lie.
When you are busy inventorying your latest shipment of munitions from hard-working U.S. citizens being pounded by Bidenflation, the fact that the U.S. government marginalizes parents and conservative activists as domestic threats while violent left-wing agitators are ignored or encouraged would not be something you have time to ponder. The fact that American citizens no longer have the right to be protected from crime because appeasing far left social and racial justice activists is more important will also go unnoticed.
America’s recent history of Democrat-controlled state, local, and federal governments shutting down businesses and economies, restricting citizens’ movements and activities, and forcing them to take vaccines of questionable efficacy with potentially dangerous side effects by threatening their livelihoods won’t matter to you when your hospitals are being bombed.
Americans understand that Zelensky has his hand out for good reason. Even with Ukraine’s history of bad behavior and corruption it’s hard to blame him. That doesn’t mean we should go along for a ride that could precipitate global nuclear war with the phony excuse that our governing elites care about freedoms they have absolutely no respect for.
Biden vows that:
This is about freedom. Freedom for Ukraine, freedom everywhere. It’s about the kind of world we want to live in and the world we want to leave our children.318
The Founders left America with that kind of world and a legacy of freedoms to make our lives and nation a better place. Biden and the Democrats are doing everything in their power to destroy that heritage of liberty for their own benefit. Taking freedom away from our citizens while forcing us to make a down payment of over $100 billion so politicians can take credit for protecting those liberties for other nations is reprehensible and wrong, or at least it’s wrong until our government decides that our right to speak out against U.S. participation in Ukraine’s war is another domestic terror threat that must also be suppressed.

Schumer attacks Carlson, Fox News, the First Amendment, and your freedom.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) referred to the “Big Lie” about January 6 ten times on the first anniversary of the Capitol Riot. From the other side of his mouth he repeated Democrats’ dishonest insinuation that rioters killed people:
Nearly 140 police officers were injured, and at least five people lost their lives that day or in its aftermath.319
Schumer called the Capitol Riot a “deadly effort to halt the peaceful transfer of power” and again suggested that rioters injured officers who died:
whether through complications from injuries or, sadly, through suicide, in the days and months after the violence.320
Suffice it to say that Schumer’s lack of adherence to demonstrable facts about the riot is no less apparent than that of colleagues like his House counterpart, Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).
On the second anniversary he again spoke of the “deadly effort” and claimed that Donald Trump “sanctioned” a “violent mob of insurrectionists,”321 conveniently ignoring Trump’s message to protesters to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” Trump’s admonition stands in stark contrast to Schumer’s threats that Supreme Court justices who failed to do the Democrat Party’s bidding and uphold Roe v. Wade would pay the price.
The senator is known for inserting hysterical hyperbole and bombast where truthfulness might yield some modicum of value. He warned what could happen if Trump’s mob continues to grow:
And once that happens, the unthinkable could become real. Democracy erodes and could— God forbid, God forbid, horror of horrors—vanish.322
The real, unthinkable horror is not calling out Schumer for his attacks on Fox News and Tucker Carlson after video footage of the January 6 riot was finally released to the public. The senator isn’t just attacking Fox. He’s attacking First Amendment freedoms Democrats find objectionable whenever they contradict party orthodoxy while they lie with impunity knowing their own complicit media and Big Tech enablers have their backs.
Democrats have no issues with spreading lies like Trump-Russia collusion or silencing news that can impact election results like the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. With Republicans in power, we’re finding out the extent of their campaign to censor politically unfavorable truths to slant the flow of information in their favor.
When it comes to conservative outlets and silencing voices they disagree with, honesty inexplicably has value:
The Speaker has now had multiple chances to denounce Fox News for lying to the American people about January 6th. But instead of speaking out against Fox’s lies, the Speaker is sticking his head in the sand saying he hasn’t watched Tucker Carlson’s broadcast. Speaker McCarthy gives Mr. Carlson the tapes, knowing how inflammatory and dishonest Tucker Carlson is, knowing how dangerous this is, and he doesn’t even take time to watch the segment?323
Schumer deems this dangerous because what Americans saw on the video segments for the first time thanks to McCarthy, Fox, and Carlson doesn’t support Democrat propaganda and the conclusions of the party’s anti-Trump kangaroo court. Pelosi’s tribunal got prime-time coverage of proceedings that bordered on ludicrous for the scripted, unabashed bias and rabid partisanship members force-fed to the American people. Now it’s Democrat Party gospel and dissenters like Carlson must be silenced and preferably cancelled at all costs.
Those of us who watched the video clips saw what we saw. If Democrats are telling the truth, then they have nothing to fear and certainly no excuse to demand censoring First Amendment free speech from a media outlet with views that don’t align with their own:
I urge Fox News to order Carlson to cease propagating the Big Lie on his network, and to level with their viewers about the truth—the truth!—behind their efforts to mislead the public. Conduct like theirs is just asking for another January 6th to happen.324
Schumer’s obsession with the truth even at the expense of our fundamental freedom of speech and tolerance for disagreement is perplexing:
And he’s going to come back tonight with another segment. Fox News should tell him not to. Fox News, Rupert Murdoch—tell Mr. Carlson not to run a second segment of lies. You know it’s a lie. You’ve admitted it’s a lie.325
It’s puzzling how the senator can justify calling out others for not being honest while he remembers
every single person who perished in connection to the attack …”326

Trump in chains is really about Democrats taking away your voting rights.
I’m sure there is a more foolproof scheme for Democrats to mobilize the Republican base than to rely on Alvin Bragg to vent their hatred for Donald Trump, but I can’t imagine what it would be.
Democrats’ refusal to hold anyone on the left including our current, possibly compromised and mentally failing commander in chief to the same legal, ethical, moral, medical, and democratic standards as President Trump has, like the January 6 Kangaroo Court, already compromised any judicial proceeding beyond redemption. That’s why it’s so important for Americans to see Trump in chains. This, above all other things, will testify to the Democrat Party’s success at misleading our citizens about protecting their voting rights while their real plan is to end American democracy once and for all and to replace it with a socialist, one-party authoritarian state where Democrats control who and what we can vote for.
The Democrat Party continues to push its racist argument that Republicans take away the freedom to vote from voters of color they claim are less able than white voters to obtain identification despite needing ID for everything from driving to cashing a check to visiting the doctor. Last month, Congressmen Rick Larsen (D-WA) and Marc Veasey (D-TX) reintroduced the America Votes Act with this marginalizing “certain populations” rationale:
Restrictive voter ID laws perpetuate systemic disenfranchisement of certain populations in the United States. February is Black History Month, a reminder of the discriminatory barriers to voting Black Americans have faced since the Fifteenth Amendment to the Constitution was ratified in 1870.326
Political trends also matter, so they added the current favorite victims trending among the identity politics-obsessed left:
Additionally, restrictive voter ID laws disenfranchise transgender Americans who might not have ID that correctly recognizes their gender. Of the nearly 700,000 transgender adults eligible to vote in states where elections are not conducted entirely by mail, an estimated 43 percent lack ID documents that reflect their correct name or gender.327
Democrats and Biden opened the floodgates and welcomed over one million illegal gotaways and an overwhelming number of assorted migrants and alleged asylum-seekers to our homeland. With liberal, anti-American politicians who control Washington D.C., New York City, and other jurisdictions on behalf of the party eager to give non-citizens the same voting rights on the local level as American citizens, it makes perfect sense that proving who you are is anathema to the congressional left. So is a Republican candidate whose presidency brought America forward instead of advancing the social and economic destruction that makes it easier for Americans to throw in the towel and depend on Democrat generosity to get by.
It’s not just the freedom to cast a ballot that is fundamental to the democracy freedom-hating Democrats pretend they revere. It’s also the freedom to vote for the candidates of our choosing and not have our election choices moderated by a single political party. This is the foot in the door Democrats seek by using Bragg as a dupe to put Trump in chains, just like allowing illegals to vote in local elections is a foot in the door to give them the same political power as American citizens.
If this ridiculous, anti-American fiasco happens Trump won’t be the only one in chains. He will be joined by Americans losing the freedom to choose in free and fair elections. That freedom threatens the future of the left’s America-hating, authoritarian agenda. Look for it at the top of the list of liberties Democrats are determined to take away.

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.
Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it

I agree, it’s pretty amazing that no matter how bad things are or how misguided the actions of public officials, they still manage to convince people to support what they do. Watch what happens in the Illinois governor’s race next week. If Pat Quinn wins, it’s a pretty good sign that we are truly lost.
freedom from harm is not a reasonable freedom. Freedom from unjust aggression is reasonable, and the primary reason for government.

Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.
