Harris has her own fundamental freedoms and they are more important than yours
Kamala Harris runs into trouble when she tries to say something good about America and what she has planned to make us even better:
I mean, essentially, it’s much of what you’ve probably heard me talk about before in terms of just what I believe to be the promise of America and the fact that we’re all in this and there’s obviously a lot at stake, but there’s also a lot to feel good about in terms of the future of our country.
So, there will be a lot that is about what I believe is a way forward — a new way forward and bringing everyone along in that.506
Calling that garbled mess a word salad is an insult to salads. This is how politicians talk when they don’t want you to know what they really want to say.
Harris’s “new way forward” sounds ominous considering the partisan priorities she erroneously calls fundamental freedoms:
In this election, many other fundamental freedoms are at stake: the freedom to live safe from gun violence in our schools, communities, and places of worship; the freedom to love who you love openly and with pride — (applause); the freedom to breathe clean air and drink clean water and live free from the pollution that fuels the climate crisis — (applause); and the freedom that unlocks all the others, the freedom to vote. (Applause.)507
These are Democrat Party priorities, not the fundamental freedoms America was founded on. Harris either doesn’t understand this or assumes that those worshipping at her feet are too dumb to know about the liberties granted by our Constitution.

Typo? Not if Harris is elected.
During her acceptance speech the vice president traded the appearance of forthrightness for policy. She feigned resoluteness by repeating “let’s be clear” three times, so let’s do the same and be absolutely clear about Harris’s take on our fundamental freedoms.
Convenient abortions on demand are not a fundamental freedom
Let’s be clear. Abortion, what Democrats call “reproductive freedom,” was never taken away. Instead, Dobbs was a victory for freedom that returned the issue to we, the people.
Harris claims to be a big fan of democracy, but she denounces giving voters the freedom to decide:
Donald Trump handpicked members of the United States Supreme Court to take away reproductive freedom.508
Her message that killing babies should be a convenience available anytime and anywhere was delivered loud and clear with the walk-in abortion bus outside of the DNC.
The Supreme Court was established to interpret the Constitution and protect our rights and freedoms. Harris, Biden, and Democrat Party apparatchiks routinely attack this independent judicial body as dangerous and illegitimate when decisions don’t go their way, hence the determination to turn SCOTUS into a Democrat tribunal to expand their freedom to do whatever they want.
You are not special and no one cares who or what you love
Let’s be more clear. The freedom to love members of your own sex is not a fundamental freedom. If that’s your preference, fine. You’re also free to love your dog, cat, goldfish, or even members of the opposite sex if that’s your preference.
Turning LGBTQwhatever activism into a weaponized political mandate does not make it a fundamental freedom no matter how many bakeries or other businesses are targeted. To the contrary, demanding acceptance and submission takes freedom away.
The freedom to vote is a fundamental freedom. Changing election rules to favor one party is not.
Let’s be even more clear. The freedom to vote is a genuine Constitutional right and a fundamental freedom that Harris and her party plan to manipulate for Democrat hegemony by reviving their John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act.
The Committee on House Administration lists the five most damning provisions of the bill, including efforts to quash voter ID requirements that Harris’s illegal immigrant invasion makes more important that ever.
Federalizing control of elections and banning commonsense protections against fraud after Border Czar Kamala invited untold millions of illegals into our country doesn’t protect this fundamental freedom. It anticipates Democrat control of Congress that will weaponize the right to vote against political opponents.
The freedom to be safe is not about abolishing ICE or imposing no cash bail laws or bailing out lawbreakers or taking guns away from law-abiding citizens
Need still more clarity? Denying Second Amendment rights does not protect the fundamental freedom to be alive and safe. Enforcing the law does, but Harris has no appetite for that. She proved as much by abdicating her border protection duties despite the murder and rape of Americans by illegals and her support for Minnesota Freedom Foundation efforts to bail out George Floyd race rioters in her running mate’s state.
If Harris wants Americans to have the “freedom to live safe,” she can denounce liberal blue city legislation that grants no cash bail and light or no sentences for offenders. Then she can try pronouncing Laken Riley’s name. Joe didn’t do so well with that last one and since Kamala is complicit in every crime an illegal commits on American soil she probably won’t be able to, either.
In radical Kamala’s hands the climate crisis is a freedom crisis
So we’re all perfectly clear, manipulating a politically contrived, activist driven, scientifically sketchy climate doomsday threat as an excuse to spend lots of money has nothing to do with our fundamental freedoms.
On the other hand, the Founders would disapprove of a government that lies to the people about an “Inflation Reduction Act” that doesn’t fix a problem Harris helped create but empowers Democrats to spend $400 billion509 on said climate activism and what they deceptively call “fiscal responsibility and tax fairness.”
It’s this kind of liberal fiscal responsibility that exploded inflation and denied Americans the dream of buying a home or even the electric vehicles Democrats want to mandate as they use their climate threats to take away our freedom to make our own buying decisions.
Harris wants very badly for voters to trust her:
And let me say, I know there are people of various political views watching tonight, and I want you to know I promise to be a president for all Americans. (Applause.) You can always trust me to put country above party and self; to hold sacred America’s fundamental principles, from the rule of law to free and fair elections to the peaceful transfer of power. (Applause.)510
Does all Americans include Trump supporters, the MAGA Repubicans reviled by Harris and her party?
Harris mentioned freedom twelve times in her anti-Trump harangue at the conclusion of the Democrat Party’s joyful hatefest. It’s up for grabs whether her appalling failure to honor the freedoms America does stand for is because of her rabid, radical left partisanship or basic lack of knowledge about our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
She talks about fair elections but her no-vote, anti-democracy candidacy is a historic victory over our freedom to choose the men and women who represent us and just a taste of a how little regard she has for a nation and people who value freedom above all things.

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.
Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it
We’ll find out next week how well people are paying attention, won’t we, Sandy? I agree, it’s pretty amazing that no matter how bad things are or how misguided the actions of public officials, they still manage to convince people to support what they do. Watch what happens in the Illinois governor’s race next week. If Pat Quinn wins, it’s a pretty good sign that we are truly lost.
freedom from harm is not a reasonable freedom. Freedom from unjust aggression is reasonable, and the primary reason for government.
Thanks for your remarks, Ed. Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.

I don’t know if the intention was to turn lies into the sole means of communicating with the people to the complete exclusion of the truth, but it has certainly paid off for Democrats and the White House.
