Author’s note February 7, 2024, 2:15 p.m.: it’s back to the drawing board for Senate Democrats. Their National Security Supplemental just failed a vote. Credit Speaker Johnson for declaring this legislative atrocity DOA long before it died in the same chamber that cooked up this historic affront to Americans and everything we value about our great country.
Senate Democrats blame Republicans, but it’s Biden who got duped into taking away your freedom
Would any sane person let a sex offender stay in their child’s bedroom? No? Then why would any American approve of legislation that gives President Biden power to refuse to defend America’s border?
This is a classic fox in the henhouse scenario that cleverly saddles witless Joe with the blame for our illegal immigrant invasion by putting his responsibilities in writing and giving him the option to refuse to exercise them if he so chooses, which we have every reason to expect he will.
Democrats and the White House stupidly blame the GOP and Donald Trump for their refusal to stop the invasion of America they started, but when things go bad it’s witless Joe who will be left holding the bag.
Biden: this puts me in control
The only thing I can think of that’s more offensive than a Republican backing the Emergency National Security Supplemental with its treasonous border provisions is the president’s reassurance to Americans that the legislation puts him in charge:
And now, they’re starting about the — about the border. “It’s out of control.” Well, guess what? Everything in that bipartisan bill gives me control, gives us control without being — and still meets the needs of the people being able to come at all — legally come across.475
It certainly hands him even greater control over our freedom to live in a safe, secure, sovereign nation, a freedom he has consistently denied Americans from the moment he took office.
The president was always in charge, of course, or we wouldn’t be where we are now. That’s not the point. The bill details his responsibilities in writing and gives him power to protect America that he will not use because an open border is central to his radical agenda:
It would give me, as President, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed.476
He didn’t tell the truth about how many illegals the bill allows during today’s anti-Trump, anti-Make America Great rant:
This bill would also give me, as President, the emergency authority to temporarily shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed — the numbers they’re talking — over 5,000 people trying get in in one day.477
Here is the truth:
Even worse, in keeping with White House policy the legislation allows the president to do nothing to protect Americans if he doesn’t feel like it and trust me, he won’t:
In Democratspeak the national interest is inseparable from the Democrat Party’s interest, so don’t hold your breath for any border shutdown no matter how high the numbers climb. There will always be a reason for a president who has repeatedly demonstrated that a secure border is the last thing on earth he wants to do nothing.
Instead, Democrats will continue to work with Biden to welcome illegals, criminals, and terrorists with open arms and all the benefits they can fund with our money. They will lie about the numbers, redefine border crossers to include or exempt as needed, Mayorkas will assure us that the border is secure, and Karine Jean-Pierre will lie with whatever excuse is written in her cheat notes to explain the president doing nothing while foreign nationals are weaponized for the benefit of their party.
The silver lining is that when things go bad and they most certainly will, Democrats can blame the president to protect themselves. Joe is already boasting that “everything” in the bill gives him control. If you are in charge, you shoulder the blame.
Democrats want to legislate the loss of your freedom and liberty
So what does this mean for you as an American citizen? Losing your freedom will be codified by federal law.
You will formally, officially lose the freedom to live in a sovereign nation. The world already owns America. Now it will be law. Anyone who wants a piece of our country can have it as long as the numbers aren’t more than 8,500 in a day.
Your freedom to feel safe about your life and the lives of your family will be gone forever. The illegal immigrants who attacked a New York police officer are just one single, isolated incident. “Invasion” means more than just numbers, but as a reminder the number of gotaways and who they are is completely up for grabs. All we know for certain is that whatever we hear from Democrats and Biden and Mayorkas will not be true.
Your children will lose their right to the education you pay for as limited school resources are stretched and snap because of the special needs of countless migrants who don’t speak English, have inadequate schooling prior to arriving in the U.S., and can’t quickly assimilate into our culture and school system.
More Americans will die thanks to a still open border that continues to strain the CBP and diverts resources from stopping fentanyl at U.S. ports of entry while blue city Democrats simultaneously push to decriminalize drugs of abuse, which makes deadly substances more accepted and accessible.
Worst of all, your identity as an American who lives in the greatest, most freedom-loving nation on earth will be destroyed because the Democrat Party and our treasonous, traitorous president took away our right to say no to having our country invaded. Instead of security, we are forced to support the care, feeding, and education of future Democrat voters who will take away even more rights and liberties because the beliefs about freedom they bring to America are often radically different from what our values demand.
Trying to shove this bill down our throats with lies and deceptions is a despicable, disgusting threat to our nation and freedom that is completely in line with authoritarian Democrats who will stop at absolutely nothing to defile our country for their gain.

People do not understand how the Democrats and the Obama administration are slowly strangling the very freedoms that the Revolution was fought for. The facts are clear when you see the Constitution being trampled on by Obama, and then realize that he could not pass a gun owner background check, which is why he has sealed “ALL” of his records.
If congress were to pass any new legislation on background checking it must include the requirement that “ALL” politicians running for public office must “PASS” those requirements or be disqualified.
As it stands right now, Obama could not ” PASS” a standard FBI check from the details that were written in his book, which is why his certification was challenged. The judges that had cases before them refused to hear the arguments and thusly dismissed those cases. What gutless wonders we have in the justice system including the Supreme Court.
Obama is tearing our nation apart. and he is banking on the ignorant that don’t pay attention. obama has a shady past and i am not convinced that he is a true citizen of the united states. If you vote democrat you are voting to end america as a freedom country. Obama is taking it all away and people are not paying attention. when it’s gone and you are under the control of a dictator you will wish you had paid attention. but this country has been under attack before obama but now it’s speeded up so much it will be a miracle if we can keep it
We’ll find out next week how well people are paying attention, won’t we, Sandy? I agree, it’s pretty amazing that no matter how bad things are or how misguided the actions of public officials, they still manage to convince people to support what they do. Watch what happens in the Illinois governor’s race next week. If Pat Quinn wins, it’s a pretty good sign that we are truly lost.
freedom from harm is not a reasonable freedom. Freedom from unjust aggression is reasonable, and the primary reason for government.
Thanks for your remarks, Ed. Interesting how some of what’s happening now at the hands of government could be considered unjust aggression, like the searches they conducted in Rhode Island looking for New Yorkers. It’s difficult to know where to draw the line between government overreach and the public interest, but that was quite a line to cross.

I don’t know if the intention was to turn lies into the sole means of communicating with the people to the complete exclusion of the truth, but it has certainly paid off for Democrats and the White House.
