One word was conspicuously absent from Friday’s first look at what Kamala Harris has in store for dumb voters who believe what they want to hear: “promise.” This is wise. If I was her, I would avoid that word at all costs.
Harris pressed all the right buttons for her audience at a community college in Raleigh, North Carolina. How much of what they applauded is true? Not much. Harris’s lips were moving. That’s a reliable clue that she is lying.
Dumb voters laugh. Harris keeps lying and laughs even louder.
It sounded like Harris was pitching a comedy plot where the president and vice president wreck the economy so they can pin the blame on their opponents and promise even worse fixes to get reelected.
He [Donald Trump] said he was going to talk about the economy — (laughter) — I think you all watched; you know what I’m about to say — but he offered no serious plans to reduce costs for middle-class families, no plan to expand access to housing or health care.1
Why the laughter? She fiddles like Nero as if White House assurances that the economy is better than ever were true. No bright bulb in her own right, Harris’s distrust of America probably prevents her from understanding that when the economy does well, middle and working class people do well, too. That’s what happened when Trump was president.
It’s not what happened with Harris and Biden in charge.
The problem with lying is that once you start, it’s hard to stop:
So, there’s a choice in this election: Donald Trump’s plans to devastate the middle class, punish working people, and make the cost of living go up for millions of Americans; and, on the other hand, when I’m elected president, what we’ll do — (applause) — what we will do to bring down costs, increase the security and stability financially of your family, and expand opportunity for working- and middle-class Americans. (Applause.)2
Why is there applause for her lying? What she falsely calls “Donald Trump’s plans” are Harris and Biden’s greatest accomplishment. Was she preaching to an audience of witless, hand-picked sycophants, or are Democrat voters really this dumb?
Sorry, but Harris is lying about rewarding hard work. That’s not how socialism works.
There is an old saying about lying: fool me once, shame on you and fool me twice, shame on me. With Harris, the fooling never ends because it’s all she has to sell. When a politician begins a campaign rally with what most informed Americans know is a lie, there is no reason to believe anything else she says:
We have created 16 million new jobs.3
Like Biden’s 17,000 miles of travel with Xi, this is a White House favorite recited by Harris because her base refuses to call her on it. Most of us don’t like being taken for fools, but voters pushing a Harris presidency seem wholly lacking in self-respect.
The only thing worse than someone lying to your face to get something they want is when that person has every reason to believe you know they are lying and they don’t care. This, along with the Pelosi maxim about passing a massive spending bill to find out what’s in it, defines Harris’s campaign for president.
She assures the faithful that a Harris presidency means America will be a nation “where everyone’s work is rewarded and talents are valued.”4
This is not an economic plan. This is how capitalism works, but it doesn’t matter because capitalism is anathema to what Harris and Walz stand for, which is the meaning of “everyone.”
Ask those storming into our country who are not terror suspects, criminals fleeing prosecution in their home country, or drug traffickers if they would prefer working in the U.S. to whatever Third World socialist hellhole they came from. They will tell you they want U.S. jobs. If this is not true, why are Democrats so determined to clear hurdles in the way of illegals finding work?
Socialism dictates that shiftless Americans and their hard-working neighbors should be treated the same. With do-nothing Harris as president, do-nothing Americans and illegals with their hands out will be raised up in the name of equity while those who work hard will be taxed downward to level the playing field. There will be no difference between illegals and foreign nationals who earn their legal right to live in America and likely no difference between criminals handed a pass and those of us who follow the law.
The difference between sitting at home on the couch watcning TV and smoking Democrat-approved legal weed will be your tax rate. This is how socialism works.
A candidate about nothing
Harris built an astoundingly successful candidacy about nothing. No votes. No policies. No accomplishments as vice president and no proposals until Friday’s laughable economic pipe dream that included a ludicrous plan for $25,000 homebuyer handouts.
What left-wing elites like Martha’s Vineyard residents Barack and Michelle Obama, the Clintons, Hollywood royalty, and censorship-happy media giants don’t tell naive, uninformed, and frankly dumb Democrat voters is that their lives of wealth and luxury will continue under a Harris-Walz administration while working and middle class dupes who empower these radicals will suffer consequences Harris will blame on anyone and anything but herself.
If this sounds familiar, the strategy is straight from the Harris and Biden playbook: inflict policies that hurt people and use their pain to justify worse policies that hurt even more while lying that it’s someone’s else’s fault. It brings in votes, so why stop now?
Kamala can’t separate herself from the destructive schemes she promoted as vice president. Her answer for what she’s done is more lying:
Now compare what Donald Trump plans to do. He wants to impose what is, in effect, a national sales tax on everyday products and basic necessities that we import from other countries.5
There is no Trump national sales tax proposal, or any of the other “Trump taxes” she threatens to take advantage of dumb voters who don’t know better:
That will devastate Americans. It will mean higher prices on just about every one of your daily needs: a Trump tax on gas, a Trump tax on food, a Trump tax on clothing, a Trump tax on over-the-counter medication. 6
Harris and Biden already imposed these taxes. They jump-started massive inflation the moment Trump left office. She applauds a new inflation rate below 3% and falsely accuses Trump of a tax scheme that will add $3,900 a year to family budgets,7 which is a lot less than the $17,000 per year and 19.4% price increases the House Budget Committee estimates Harris and Biden cost American families:
Americans continue to struggle under the weight of Kamalanomics. The average family of four is paying over $17,000 more per year to purchase the same goods and services. The Biden-Harris Administration’s record spending has added unsustainable amounts to the deficit, now over $35 trillion.8
Harris also neglects to mention that the Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index figures for July 2024 report that food prices continued to rise in June and July along with other essentials like shelter, education, and car insurance.9
She warns Trump will devastate Americans. He doesn’t need to. Harris already did.
If her lips are moving, then Harris is lying.
It pains me to attack the intelligence of fellow Americans, but it’s impossible to hold back after vicious Democrat attacks launched at conservatives targeted as MAGA threats to democracy and possible domestic terrorists for the crime of not supporting the party’s destruction of our country.
As protests break out in Chicago during the DNC convention, we’ll see on our television screens who the real domestic terror threats to democracy are.
Most us know Harris is lying about practically everything. There is no Trump Project 2025, no Trump abortion bans, and no National Sales Tax. A free, government paid $25,000 home payment will not reduce inflation or help Americans already strapped because of the Biden-Harris economy buy housing that is already scarce, overpriced, and too expensive because of mortgage rates that make home purchases unaffordable and for many, unwise.
Biden’s 2024 election stand-in clearly depends on desperate and dumb Democrat voters to believe that high food prices are anyone’s fault but her own and the president’s:
A lo- — a loaf of bread costs 50 percent more today than it did before the pandemic. Ground beef is up almost 50 percent. Many of the big food companies are seeing their highest profits in two decades. And while many grocery chains pass along these savings, others still aren’t.10
Is Harris too lazy to read what her speechwriters slap in front of her, is she also too dumb to notice that “before the pandemic” includes most of the Trump presidency before she helped create these astounding price increases, or is this just another excuse to wreck the economy even more than she already has by imposing certain to fail price controls?
So, believe me, as president, I will go after the bad actors. (Applause.) And I will work to pass the first-ever federal ban on prou- — price gauging [gouging] on food. (Applause.)11
Like the old Seinfeld “series about nothing” joke, Kamala Harris is a candidate about nothing. She laughs and cackles and giggles her way through canned remarks, but it’s obvious to anyone who hasn’t gulped the DNC Kool Aid that the joke is on a dumb voter base ready to endorse nothing and find out later who and what they voted for.
