No matter where the Biden impeachment inquiry leads, in all likelihood we will never know the impact of whatever the president was up to with his son during his stint as Obama’s vice president. Administration decision making is so misguided, so willfully damaging and dangerous that it is simply not possible to separate any allegiance to foreign governments from the ongoing train wreck that characterizes White House policy.
House Republicans are focused on the president’s potential compromise. I would argue that Biden’s arguably treasonous invasion of America that Democrats excuse with empty and irrelevant claims about diversity is a better impeachment target.
The president and Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas have ushered millions of illegals into our country. At best many, if not most will have a very difficult time making their way in America without help from taxpayers who are already struggling in our Bidenomics economy. Despite all evidence to the contrary, Democrats maintain their fiction that mass illegal immigration is good because diversity makes us stronger. They attacked President Trump for refusing to agree:
In America, our diversity makes us stronger – it is what uplifts all voices and makes us an inclusive, dynamic country.
Yet, the President clearly does not share this belief.
From attacks against Dreamers, family separation, the deaths of migrant children, to the Remain in Mexico policy that sends asylum seekers into dangerous situations. These are policies none of us ever imagined would happen in America in our lifetime.1
Democrats got what they wanted and now the situation is out of control. We didn’t imagine that a government-sponsored illegal immigrant invasion that weaponizes diversity for political purposes, makes us weak, and puts Americans in danger thanks to an unknown number of unvetted gotaways would happen in our lifetime, either.
What responsibility does government have to keep Americans safe?
In honor of Community Policing Week, President Biden expressed his thoughts on the single most important obligation of government:
There is no greater responsibility of government than ensuring the safety of the American people and those who sacrifice to protect us all.3
Here in Illinois, we start every week with the weekend totals for Chicago residents we did not protect. Now we also get the tally of illegals arriving in the city from Biden’s Border. Pro-sanctuary and illegal immigration Governor JB Pritzker just announced that making their lives better will cost another $41.5 million.
Why?
Illinois is a welcoming state, and we have stepped up to aid asylum seekers who have undertaken a dangerous and trying journey to try and build a better life for themselves and their families,” said Governor JB Pritzker.4
Life is already trying and dangerous for families of citizens trying to survive in violent, depressed Chicago neighborhoods. They know they are not safe and too often see their children shot for the crime of sitting inside their home. This simple fact didn’t stop Pritzker’s second-in-command from pushing the governor’s praise for illegals with a fundamental Democrat Party truism about diversity that is no longer true:
“In Illinois, we recognize the humanity of everyone and reject fearmongering and cruelty toward those seeking asylum,” said Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton. “Through this funding, our administration is reaffirming our commitment to being a welcoming state because our diversity makes us stronger.”5
Like being a nation of immigrants, diversity only makes us stronger in a sane world. In our insane, borderless country it makes us weak and vulnerable and teaches our citizens that they are powerless when big government decides that improving the lives of invading illegals is a more important political priority than taking care of Americans in need.
Weaponizing diversity with illegals makes us weak and poor
The taxpayer tab for the Biden-Democrat Party illegal immigration invasion continues to grow in sanctuary cities and states. In 2022 Pritzker talked the hackneyed party line:
Illinois welcomes refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants and we are working with federal and city officials to ensure that these individuals are treated with respect and safety as they look to connect with their family and friends. My great-grandfather came to this country as an immigrant fleeing Ukraine in 1881. Immigrants just like my family seeking freedom and opportunity built this country. Illinois is and has always been a welcoming state.”6
That was last year. Now, despite dedicating tens of millions of state tax dollars to foreign nationals seeking opportunity and assuring taxpayers that forced diversity makes us stronger, the Washington Examiner reports7 Pritzker calls the fulfillment of Illinois’ self-imposed sanctuary obligation “untenable” in lieu of federal spending money.
This is not diversity. This is insanity.
The Biden White House invited over 5.5 million illegals to our border. 1.5 million gotaways escaped authorities,8 a bad sign considering there are no penalties for walking into America and getting a notice to appear at some dim future date that no one will force you to show up for.
America’s government handed control of our southern border to Mexico’s criminal cartels and set the stage for their record profits from human smuggling, sex trafficking, and illegal drugs. As Rep. Mark Green (R-MD) pointed out during a hearing on “Secretary Mayorkas’ loss of operational control to cartels:”
The violence and atrocities are not just being felt along the border – our American communities throughout the country are suffering as well. A lot of the violence can often be traced back to the cartels, because they often subcontract their mayhem to gangs that effectively function as the cartels’ national distribution network.9
As many as 60% of Border Patrol agents10 are diverted from keeping Americans safe to implementing the Biden administration’s open border agenda:
“On a daily basis, agents are feeding and caring for migrants, consoling children, and rescuing over 4,000 aliens that smugglers have placed into peril,” Brian Hastings, chief of law enforcement operations for the Border Patrol told the House Judiciary Committee July 25. “They continue to perform the humanitarian mission, knowing they are sacrificing the border security mission they were hired to do, day after day, with no end in sight.”11
Pro-illegal immigration Democrats know this, so we can only surmise that they don’t care and hope the illegals unceremoniously dumped in our communities will one day remember with gratitude how these traitors sold out our country and reward them with votes for their party.
This is not immigration. It is not diversity that makes us stronger. This is political self-interest at the expense of taxpayers and America’s future.
Democrat eat Democrat? Washington radicals cannibalize their lesser siblings.
Sanctuary illegal immigration policies are one of those ill-conceived liberal ideas that sound a lot better in left wing stump speeches than they work in practice. The dismayed howls coming from blue cities like New York and Chicago for being forced to defend the dark side of their values and pay for their Washington betters’ refusal to protect our country would be satirical if taxpaying citizens weren’t the ones being punished.
Diversity makes us even weaker when it creates more racism
It turns out we place a lot more value on diversity for illegal immigrants than we do for American citizens unlucky enough to have the wrong ethnicity.
In honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander Heritage Month Democrats applauded the contributions of diversity. We heard about celebrating “our great diversity,” the “strength in our diversity,” and most important of all, the tiresome refrain “diversity makes us stronger.”12
Democrats emphasize the incredible value of a diverse America, but not a single member of the party joined House and Senate Republicans who filed a brief with the Supreme Court in opposition to discriminatory policies that target Asian-Americans:
Race-conscious admissions decisions inflict a heavy toll on Asian-American students. Treating them differently because of their race is a stark departure from equal protection decisions issued early on by this Court, which guarded Asian immigrants from racial prejudice. And the burdens imposed on petitioner illustrate a wider trend. Asian-Americans are increasingly victimized by discriminatory practices.13
Is this an equity problem? Suppressing a diverse group because they tend to excel more than other groups doesn’t sound like diversity. It sounds like racist discrimination that points to politics creating two kinds of diversity: good diversity for illegals and bad diversity for Americans who rise above society’s minimal expectations.
The right kind of diversity makes us weak one illegal at a time
This raises a troubling question. If illegal immigration makes us stronger because it’s the right kind of diversity vs. the wrong kind for Asian Americans, how does equity factor into leveling the playing field for millions of foreign nationals who are at an economic, educational, social, and legal disadvantage the moment they cross our border?
The fact that every societal guardrail has been demolished and the rule of law suspended so as not to impede Biden’s illegal immigrant invasion answers the question. The president invited so many illegals into America that the only solution besides mass deportations that risk George Floyd-style uprisings from a now massive illegal immigrant community and spells partisan suicide for the party involved is to find a way for them to stay so they can enjoy all the benefits our diverse liberal society has to offer on the taxpayer dime. One day, those benefits will include the right to vote.
Let’s face it. There are precious few rocket scientists and brain surgeons and more than a few dangerous criminals tucked away in the Biden hordes trespassing our border. In the absence of marketable skills and education, the care and feeding of Biden’s illegals is going to cost a bundle at every level of government for years to come. This is a good thing for Democrats who love nothing better than social spending, but if this is what they mean by diversity making us stronger, they should have added that the “us” is “just us.”
Biden-Harris team insists illegal immigrant diversity makes us stronger, but they won’t say why
Even articulate Democrats have problems explaining why open borders and the Biden-Harris administration’s invasion of illegals and terror watch lists suspects are good for America. They are better at reciting talking points about our history as a nation of immigrants, but let’s be honest: our lawless southern border has nothing in common with Ellis Island.
Kamala Harris is not an articulate Democrat. Making sense is a stumbling block for our shockingly unpopular vice president. For example, during an October 18, 2023 celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month she offered this:
And we are imposing on you the responsibility, then, to walk in those rooms with pride, understanding the voices that you carry — the voices we honor when we honor this month every day of the year, the voices of your family and the community — that is your duty that we impose on you at the same time that we impose on you all of the pride we have in you for all that you are and will continue to be in the best interest of the strength and the growth of our nation.14
The two important words in that mess are strength and growth, both of which are inimical to the administration’s illegal immigration agenda and repetitive, phony nods to diversity.
When diversity kills it doesn’t make us stronger.
Harris’ Rose Garden audience probably didn’t question this favorite leftist deception about diversity:
In this moment, extremists attempt to demonize and target immigrants with some of the most vile and hateful language. But we here know that, in America, our diversity is our strength. (Applause.)15
Our Border Czar relies on the tiresome Democrat dog whistle about Republican extremism to excuse the inexcusable. Blaming the GOP to promote incredibly dangerous administration policies can’t excuse the blood of migrants on Biden and Harris’ hands. If death is the kind of diversity that makes us stronger, she should explain how.
The vice president should also explain why she would rather risk the diversity terrorists bring to America than protect our sovereignty like every other responsible country. That includes Middle Eastern nations who are saying no to refugees from Gaza. Is it worth risking American lives for the sake of a White House falsehood about illegal immigrant diversity? The answer appears to be a resounding “yes.”
If Gaza was Central America, the Biden administration would be planting Hamas terrorists throughout the U.S.
Who are the real victims of Biden-Harris diversity?
During a safe, secure “moderated conversation” we were treated to more of the vice president’s trademark incoherence:
Because on this issue of the attacks against the LGBTQ+ community, part of what I have to say is I strongly believe that nobody should be made to fight alone. And it is incumbent on us who believe in the strength of diversity and the importance of unity to build coalition. Because among the intents out there in terms of the attacks on fundamental freedoms, I believe is an intent to try to divide us as a nation and to distract us from the failure of so-called leaders who ain’t doing nothing that is about uplifting our country and creating progress and the expansion of rights.16
When she finally arrived at her point, she played the illegal immigrant strength through diversity card:
Diversity is our strength as a country — always has been. Gets back to the point about immigration.17
It turns out uplifting our country is about amnesty, not border security:
I will also say that it is important that we have a safe, orderly, and fair immigration system. When Joe Biden and I came into office, the first piece of legislation — I think it was the day after inauguration — that we proposed was pathway to citizenship.18
Lies and deception from our leaders doesn’t make us stronger. It’s not a good example to set for our children and neither does teaching them that the strength of diversity has something to do with millions of illegal immigrants flooding the country so the Democrat Party can make them citizens and pander for penny ante donations and votes.
An October 20, 2023 campaign get together gave the president an opportunity to beg:
Please don’t lose faith. Not — not in me. Don’t lose faith (inaudible).19
We’re long past the point of losing faith. The White House illegal immigration agenda puts our nation at risk and instead of reversing policies that created our border invasion, we get lies and hyperbole from Biden:
And the thing that I’ve learned, even though I’ve been — I’ve known every major head of state in the last 40 years in my job. There’s nowhere I go (inaudible) where I don’t walk into the room and every other country (inaudible) stands at attention. Not because they like us, but because it’s the United States of America, and they’re counting on us. They’re counting on us, on our strength and on our diversity.20
This was true at one time. It’s not true anymore and we have Biden and Harris to thank. No sane head of state can possibly respect a country with leaders who don’t respect their own border and lie to the people about why it’s a good thing.
