1.a.1. Google Analytics
When you visit Civil Candor information about your visit is provided to Google Analytics (GA) through cookies (see Cookie Policy, below). GA helps analyze the performance and user preferences for this website. This helps provide a better and more worthwhile experience for the user by informing us how many visits this site receives and what pages visitors like to read.
The information collected by GA is general, non-personally identifiable information such as browser type (e.g. Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome), network, operating system, and general geographic location. Any information entered into our site’s search box is also stored by GA.

1.a.2. Sucuri Website Firewall
This website is protected by a web application firewall. WP Engine is Civil Candor’s webhost. WP Engine servers log information about all website visitors including IP address, time of visit, the URL accessed, the size (amount) of data the server sent to the visitor, the web address the visitor came from, and the visitor’s browser.

1.b. Information you provide
1.b.1 Comments
If you leave a comment you have the option to provide your name, email address, website, and any other information you choose to add to the text of the comment. All of these fields are voluntary. The information you enter is saved.
If you provide your email address, this site does not share the address with other parties or use it in any way. Your email address is not revealed to visitors of this website and does not appear with your comment.
Any other personally identifiable information you provide in the context of your comment is voluntary and subject to your discretion and the moderation policy of this site.
1.b.2 Search box
If you search for information on Civil Candor by entering a query into the search box that information will be passively transmitted to and stored by Google Analytics, the Sucuri firewall log, and our SiteGround webserver. It is not shared with any party.
1.b.3 Contact Form
When you fill out Civil Candor’s contact form the information you provide is stored on our website server. It is not used for any purpose other than providing our readers with a convenient way to communicate with the site owner.
2. Cookie Policy

Civil Candor does not receive or collect any information concerning your use of social media with the exception of comments you choose to post on one of this website’s social media pages. In the event you choose to leave a comment on our Facebook or Google Plus pages or communicate with us via Twitter, that information will be stored on that social media site but is not otherwise used by this website’s owner.
4. WP Cookie Consent
This site uses the WP Cookie Consent Pro plugin for privacy law and GDPR compliance. This software identifies the geographic location of IP addresses for the purpose of displaying the cookies option banner. The IP addresses are not used for any other purpose.
5. Links to other sites

6. Republishing
Civilcandor.com is not responsible for the republishing of the content of this site on other websites and is not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites.

In the event any visitor information is requested as part of a court or other judicial or law enforcement proceeding, that information will be transmitted in accordance with the law governing that particular request or proceeding.
8. Data portability: your right to your information
