Seems odd that with all the turmoil over who to favor with year-end spending no one thought to retrieve a few dollars from illegal immigrants. Instead, Obama’s faux citizens had a pretty good week. They heard about a Connecticut mayor who got it into his head that they should be able to vote, they received news that the payroll tax cut and unemployment insurance benefits will likely be extended, and they heard that the Supreme Court will give them a voice, albeit indirectly, by hearing Arizona’s case on behalf of its immigration law.
Yesterday’s Civil Candor post talked about improper payments and billions in uncollected revenue owed to the IRS (see: Panhandling Democrats Had Revenue and Taxes for Extensions). Doling out benefits to illegal immigrants is another cost of a government too large to be responsible to citizens who pay through the nose to keep the country running. Illegals working under fraudulent identities will benefit from spending on the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits (see: Government Blames States While Illegals Cash Benefit Checks). Illegal immigrants even receive tax credits from the IRS, billions from an agency with the power to have Americans thrown in jail, but unsure of whether illegals qualify for the money it doles out (see: New Immigration Policy Could Force Us to Overlook Fraud).
There are other ways we could save public money by refusing to fund the lives of illegal immigrants. We could follow Alabama’s lead and confirm the immigration status of families enrolling schoolchildren, focusing our resources on taxpaying citizens at a time when the president and his education sidekick, Chicago expat Arne Duncan, believe we need to spend a lot more money on our schools. We could stop forcing taxpayers to fund resident tuition breaks, and we can slash federal aid to states like Illinois and California until they stop their plans to offer financial aid and scholarships to illegals (see: Incentives for Illegals Make Border Security a Loser). We could tighten up Medicaid and deny subsidized health care. The program already has a massive improper payment problem that is going to balloon into the cosmos when health care reform kicks in and Medicaid becomes our public option. Homeland Security tells us that criminal illegals are such a problem that it does not have the resources to deal with anyone else. It would be easier for DHS to stop picking and choosing, admit that illegals have no right to be here, and kick them the hell out of the country, criminals or not.
Illegal immigrants are also wasting the resources of state and local governments thrown into limbo by the Obama administration’s refusal to honor our immigration laws. Should they welcome illegals with open arms and a healthy dose of public money, or do the right thing for taxpayers, identify illegals and remove incentives for them to stay? The White House has blurred the line between legal and illegal immigrants and between enforcing the law and appealing to special interest demands for opportunity and fairness. Worst of all, government support for illegals ignores the financial drain on taxpayer resources while Democrats tell Americans we need to divest the wealthy of their money because tax revenue is in short supply.
Illegal immigrants deserve our thanks for one simple thing. They prove, more than anything else going on in this country, that we are being governed by self-serving idiots.

Remember the sheriff in Arizona who is investigating the Obama birth certificate, well he has just been brought up by the DOJ for his treatment of these same illegals that get the free ride from the feds. He is facing the DOJ on charges of Latino abuse and as a result may have to release the illegals that he has detained. It seems that whenever someone crosses Obama’s path he will soon land in court or jail (Border Patrol agent Diaz, who cannot return to his home & family) and they threw the book at them or seal the records, so they cannot defend themselves. We better wise up and drain the swamp in Washington before Washington drains our wallets, resources, jobs and country. America are you listening or do you want to rollover and pay more taxes until there is nothing left of our freedoms. Illegals should not be allowed to vote in any election no matter who says what, why or how come. Our “Constitution” and “Bill of Rights” are being shredded by Obama and his minions, doesn’t anyone care.

The companies that produce a product have Spanish translation on all their packages. This costs the companies money and of course that is passed on to the consumer. This translation encourages the illegals not to learn English, which is one of the requirements to becoming a citizen of the United States. Why do we make it so easy for the illegals.

Maricopa County’s access to Secure Communities was severed as part of the DOJ move against Sheriff Arpaio, but when states tried to voluntarily opt out, the administration told them the program was not optional. The administration is doing a very competent job of making sure that all decisions on immigration enforcement come from the White House.
